 COMMENT:
" ... This bill is bullshit from jump. (80+ / 0-)
Throughout our history, the government has given creators systems (Copyright Office, PTO) to register their claims to intellectual property. It is the responsibility of the creator to decide how to deal with people who abridge his or her claim. This is always done through the civil courts, almost always at the state level, with federal backup if needed.

Never has the federal government attempted direct, extra-legal enforcement of intellectual property claims, and for good reason: that's not its job.

I'm far from being a Tenther, but challenge to this bill, if enacted, falls squarely and sweetly under the Tenth Amendment, even more than the First.

This bill is pure crap, and I'll be the people introducing it know it, too.

The Shocking, Graphic Data That Shows Exactly What Motivates the Occupy Movement | Occupy Wall Street | AlterNet

Change has Come
by Pat Darnell | Oct 30, 2011 | Bryan, TX

The Shocking, Graphic Data That Shows Exactly What Motivates the Occupy Movement | Occupy Wall Street | AlterNet:

"At the very least, we expected that the elite financiers would pay for the damage they created – the jobs destroyed, the neighborhoods wrecked, the services cut. It didn’t happen. "
And let us take heart from the words of Franklin Roosevelt who during his first inaugural address in 1933, led the first occupation of Wall Street: " ...Practices of the unscrupulous money changers stand indicted in the court of public opinion, rejected by the hearts and minds of men. True, they have tried, but their efforts have been cast in the pattern of an outworn tradition. Faced by failure of credit, they have proposed only the lending of more money. ... "
  • Stripped of the lure of profit by which to induce our people to follow their false leadership, they have resorted to exhortations, pleading tearfully for restored conditions. They know only the rules of a generation of self-seekers.
  • They have no vision, and when there is no vision the people perish.
  • The money changers have fled their high seats in the temple of our civilization. We may now restore that temple to the ancient truths.
  • The measure of the restoration lies in the extent to which we apply social values more noble than mere monetary profit.
  • Happiness lies not in the mere possession of money, it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.
  • The joy and moral stimulation of work no longer must be forgotten in the mad chase of evanescent profits. These dark days will be worth all they cost us if they teach us that our true destiny is not to be ministered unto but to minister to ourselves and to our fellow-men.
  • Recognition of the falsity of material wealth as the standard of success goes hand in hand with the abandonment of the false belief that public office and high political position are to be values only by the standards of pride of place and personal profit, and there must be an end to a conduct in banking and in business which too often has given to a sacred trust the likeness of callous and selfish wrongdoing.
Les Leopold is the executive director of the Labor Institute and Public Health Institute in New York, and author of The Looting of America: How Wall Street's Game of Fantasy Finance Destroyed Our Jobs, Pensions, and Prosperity—and What We Can Do About It (Chelsea Green, 2009).

Obama To Offer Help For Students Buried In Debt - Money News Story - KSAT San Antonio:
Average student loan debt for the graduating class of 2009 at four-year nonprofit colleges was $24,000, including all private and federal loans, according to the Institute for College Access and Success.

In 2010, the unemployment rate for college graduates age 24 and younger rose to 9.4%, the highest since the Labor Department began keeping records in 1985.

However, the White House announcement doesn't offer much new help for existing borrowers who are already eligible for the income-based repayment plan and who have been able to consolidate federal loans for more than a year, said Mark Kantrowitz, publisher of FinAid.org.

Everything Should be Alright Now

[PHOTO: Capable New Leaders in Libya.]

12:28 PM (15 hours ago)
The reassuring photo of a 20 year old in an American baseball cap should put to rest any doubts that Libya is now in the ablest of hands and the long awaited social equality and economic boom are just around the corner. Brandishing Kadafi's old $ 100,000 pistol, the young man is poised to be among the top members of the new government.

Then why do I have a premonition that in less than one year there will be a story, no doubt including a photo, about this young man being imprisoned and hanged for retaining ties and affections for things western and other traitorous qualities?/?

NASA Talk :: "Light Bender"

Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Oct 18, 2011 | Bryan TX

Bending the Light
This image of galaxy cluster MACS J1206.2-0847 (or MACS 1206 for short) is part of a broad survey with NASA's Hubble Space Telescope.

The distorted shapes in the cluster are distant galaxies from which the light is bent by the gravitational pull of an invisible material called dark matter within the cluster of galaxies. This cluster is an early target in a survey that will allow astronomers to construct the most detailed dark matter maps of more galaxy clusters than ever before.

These maps are being used to test previous, but surprising, results that suggest that dark matter is more densely packed inside clusters than some models predict. This might mean that galaxy cluster assembly began earlier than commonly thought.

The multi-wavelength survey, called the Cluster Lensing And Supernova survey with Hubble (CLASH), probes, with unparalleled precision, the distribution of dark matter in 25 massive clusters of galaxies. So far, the CLASH team has completed observations of six of the 25 clusters.

Dark matter makes up the bulk of the universe's mass, yet it can only be detected by measuring how its gravity tugs on visible matter and warps space like a fun-house mirror so that the light from distant objects is distorted.

Galaxy clusters like MACS 1206 are perfect laboratories for studying dark matter's gravitational effects because they are the most massive structures in the universe. Because of their heft, the clusters act like giant cosmic lenses, magnifying, distorting and bending any light that passes through them — an effect known as gravitational lensing.

MACS 1206 lies 4.5 billion light-years from Earth. Hubble's keen vision helped CLASH astronomers uncover 47 multiple images of 12 newly identified faraway galaxies. Finding so many multiple images in a cluster is a unique capability of Hubble, and the CLASH survey is optimized to find them. The new observations build on earlier work by Hubble and ground-based telescopes.

The era when the first clusters formed is not precisely known, but is estimated to be at least 9 billion years ago and possibly as far back as 12 billion years ago. If most of the clusters in the CLASH survey are found to have excessively high accumulations of dark matter in their central cores, then it may yield new clues to the early stages in the origin of structure in the universe.

Stage 1. Nixon irresponsible, dumps gold, U.S starts spending binge

Stage 2. Crushing debts from domestic excesses, war mongering

Stage 3. Wall Street's deadly 'vast, unproductive expansion'

Stage 4. New American Revolution class-warfare coming soon
[ ...]
Oct 16, 2011  | PD
If you are honestly confused by the events you read about, so am I. The confusion comes from my not being able to absorb the degree of betrayal that has occurred in my short lifetime. Sound familiar?

Just yesterday, it seems like, the Berlin Wall was toppling down. It meant a great deal in my view of things. But it turns out while that was happening, many were positioning themselves to cash in on the event. Cashing in is what a man with three sons does with the factory he built -- as he realizes he is not going to get another chance to do so. Dad sells the factory, and the three sons are left to fend for themselves, possibly for the first time.

This article is a Republican's "mea culpa" for what went down starting with the Nixon decision to not back USA currency with gold anymore.

Then the author describes the greed of the next Republican regimes, as in: "Commentary: How: Gold. Tax cuts. Debts. Wars. Fat Cats. Class gap. lead to No fiscal discipline."

It is not a pretty scene.

In fact it is catastrophic ... dealing a death grip on us dogs who have tried seemingly in vain to make good on our promises to spouse, children, earth, and parents.

I feel like I have existed in a pretense from the start of my adulthood. Something alien has surfaced in my life experience. Is this the year we make contact? Gather your mettle and read this article. It should be shocking that it was written over a year ago. This is the conclusion, here below:
Conclusion
Warning: this black swan won't be pretty, will shock, soon
His bottom line: "The day of national reckoning has arrived. We will not have a conventional business recovery now, but rather a long hangover of debt liquidation and downsizing ... it's a pity that the modern Republican party offers the American people an irrelevant platform of recycled Keynesianism when the old approach -- balanced budgets, sound money and financial discipline -- is needed more than ever."
Wrong: There are far bigger things to "pity."
First, that most Americans, 300 million, are helpless, will do nothing, sit in the bleachers passively watching this deadly partisan game like it's just another TV reality show.
Second, that, unfortunately, politicians are so deep-in-the-pockets of the Wall Street conspiracy that controls Washington they are helpless and blind.
And third, there's a depressing sense that Stockman will be dismissed as a traitor, his message lost in the 24/7 news cycle ... until the final apocalyptic event, an unpredictable black swan triggers another, bigger global meltdown, followed by a long Great Depression II and a historic class war.
So be prepared, it will hit soon, when you least expect. (Ferrell, Paul B. Aug. 10, 2010)

Target Stores - What a surprise!
Wasn't it last Christmas that Target refused to let the Salvation Army ring their bells in front of their stores?

Dick Forrey of the Vietnam Veterans Association wrote.
'Recently we asked the local TARGET store to be a proud
sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during our
spring recognition event.
We received the following reply from the local TARGET management:
' Veterans do not meet our area of giving. We only donate to the arts, social action
groups, gay and lesbian causes, and education.'

So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and
veterans in general, do not meet their donation criteria,
then something is really wrong at this TARGET store.
We were not asking for thousands of dollars, not even hundreds, just
a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance.
As a follow-up, I, E-mailed the TARGETU.S.. Corporate
Headquarters and their response was the same...
That's their national policy!!!
Then I looked into the company further..
They will not allow the Marines to collect for 'Toys for Tots'at any of their
stores. And during the recent Iraq deployment, they would
not allow families of employees who were called up for
active duty to continue their insurance coverage while they were on military service..
Then as I dig further,
TARGET is a French-owned corporation.
Now, I'm thinking again..
If TARGET cannot support American (or Canadian) Veterans, then why should my family and I support their stores by spending our hard earned American (or Canadian) dollars in their stores???
And, have their profits sent to France ..
Without the American (and Canadian)
Vets, where would France be today?
'They, most likely would be speaking German and trading in Deutsch Marks'

Sincerely,
Dick Forrey
Veterans Helping Veterans
Please send this on to everyone you know
to let Target know
we don't need them either !

We're all in a position to reduce sales to these stores as soon as this get around! ! ! !
....SO THERE IS POWER IN THE PEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

NASA Talk -- Space Magnetospheric Imaging :: MIMI

[Picture LINK]

Electrical Circuit Between Saturn and Enceladus
This artist's concept shows a glowing patch of ultraviolet light near Saturn's north pole that occurs at the "footprint" of the magnetic connection between Saturn and its moon Enceladus. The footprint and magnetic field lines are not visible to the naked eye, but were detected by the ultraviolet imaging spectrograph and the fields and particles instruments on NASA's Cassini spacecraft. The footprint, newly discovered by Cassini, marks the presence of an electrical circuit that connects Saturn with Enceladus and accelerates electrons and ions along the magnetic field lines. In this image, the footprint is in the white box marked on Saturn, with the magnetic field lines in white and purple.

A larger white square above Enceladus shows a cross-section of the magnetic field line between the moon and the planet. This pattern of energetic protons was detected by Cassini's magnetospheric imaging instrument (MIMI) on Aug. 11, 2008.

The patch near Saturn's north pole glows because of the same phenomenon that makes Saturn's well-known north and south polar auroras glow: energetic electrons diving into the planet's atmosphere. However, the "footprint" is not connected to the rings of auroras around Saturn's poles (shown as an orange ring around the north pole in this image).

The Cassini plasma spectrometer complemented the MIMI data, with detection of field-aligned electron beams in the area. A team of scientists analyzed the charged particle data and concluded that the electron beams had sufficient energy flux to generate a detectable level of auroral emission at Saturn. Target locations were provided to Cassini's ultraviolet imaging spectrograph team. On Aug. 26, 2008, the spectrograph obtained images of an auroral footprint in Saturn's northern hemisphere.

The newly discovered auroral footprint measured about 1,200 kilometers (750 miles) in the longitude direction and less than 400 kilometers (250 miles) in latitude, covering an area comparable to that of California or Sweden. It was located at about 65 degrees north latitude.

In the brightest image the footprint shone with an ultraviolet light intensity of about 1.6 kilorayleighs, far less than the Saturnian polar auroral rings. This is comparable to the faintest aurora visible at Earth without a telescope in the visible light spectrum. Scientists have not yet found a matching footprint at the southern end of the magnetic field line.

The background star field and false color images of Saturn and Enceladus were obtained by Cassini's imaging science subsystem.
The Cassini-Huygens mission is a cooperative project of NASA, the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency. NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, Calif. manages the mission for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington, D.C. The ultraviolet imaging spectrograph team is based at the University of Colorado, Boulder. The magnetospheric imaging team is based at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, Md. The Cassini plasma spectrometer team is based at the Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas.

EAT LOTS OF SWEET POTATOES
this is really interesting... old but a good reminder...

It's been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish... All before making a human. He made and provided what we'd need before we were born. These are best & more powerful when eaten raw. We're such slow learners...
God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!

God's Pharmacy! Amazing!
cid:25.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieA sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye... And YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
cid:1199.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieA Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.
cid:1144.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieGrapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
cid:164.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieA Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

cid:169.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieKidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

cid:730.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieCelery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

cid:572.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieavocados, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods. Modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them.

cid:611.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieFigs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

cid:938.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieSweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

cid:1436.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieOrangesGrapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
cid:1887.15171@web007.roc2.bluetieOnions look like the body's cells. Today's research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.
