Spot Check on Keefer, MooPig's new Leading Economic Indicator

What is Keefer Wearing Spring 2010?
Retrievals by Hummer Dienger Braggs, MooPig's Civil Engineer / Fashion Expert

Ke$ha Valley Girl says "her fashion inspiration is Keith Richards," and MooPig agrees Keffer is our Economic conservatory of hindsight for figuring the next economic plunge or sprout!!

[SOURCE] Fashion is an indicator of Economy -- not just Housing Starts... So we think the longest running Fashionista is the one and only Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. What goes Keith? You can't learn this at DeVry, no sirreeee.
H Dienger Braggs reports: " ... Economics: MooPig has used the hem length of women's dresses as leading indicator of the economy. Since many women no longer wear dresses or skirts, this method has become iffy. Therefore the MooPig Economics Department branch of Peaks and Valleys Department, has issued a Memo that it will start using Keith Richards as the leading economic indicator. Where goes Keith Richards, so goes the economy ... no? (SOURCE)"
Let's fall back to 1968 Fashionista .... HERE
Let's look at Spring 2009:
And, Today April 2010, checking out Joan Jett:
Suddenly Joan Jett is everywhere – thanks to “ The Runaways” movie, and we’re glad to see her. Somehow she ended up at a Scottish charity event held in New York and hosted by Sean Connery, called “Dressed to Kilt.” Celebrities and designers showed off their kilt inspired fashion (we’re MAD for kilts) and we picked Joan’s version as our favorite. We’re not so sure about the feather mohawk, but the skirt is heaven. (SOURCE)

What is Keith Richards wearing Spring 2010? MooPig has no image of Keefer today !! Just this from January 2010:

It seems like a lot of rockstar types die young, and if they don’t their drugging, chainsmoking, and partying catches up to them. Rock chick Anita Pallenberg was a gorgeous model/actress in the swinging sixties – she dated at least two Rolling Stones and toured the world with the band. (That’s her in the top photo with Mick and Keith in 1968) She dated Brian Jones for two years and afterward hooked up with Keith Richards for twelve years. They had three kids together. Anita’s 65 now (she was photographed outside a supermarket, looking cranky) and we think she might have aged better if she’d taken care of herself, but she DID have an extraordinary amount of fun!

-- AND -- another pirated photo

Keith Richards showed up at the Scream 2009 Awards as laid back as ever. Johnny Depp introduced a filmed tribute to Keith and presented him with a Rock Immortal Award. Still a man of few words, Keith’s speech was a quick thank you. Despite his youthful indiscretions, Keith and his wife Patti Hansen have had a surprisingly long 26 year marriage.

-- AND -- We leave you hanging with this historical pirated photo from 2006:

These girls are hot commodities – not only do they come from rock royalty, but they’re successsful models on their own. They appear to be genetically blessed.
Posted by Janet on November 27, 2006 Elizabeth Jagger, 21 the daughter of Mick and Jerry Hall, was frolicking in the coolish surf with Theodora Richards, 20, the spawn of Keith Richards and Patti Hanson. (Is that underwear they’re wearing?)

Conclusion:
We are as confused as Joe Biden about the Economic future of the whole world ...YIKES!!!! We suppose we be free-stylin' jus' like we been doin' ... big ass hits await, on de' horizon, Bwaahhh.

New York. 3 a.m. Blues in C. says the Ad... someone had fun with this one

MooPig Introduces its Peaks and Valleys Department

Kieth Richards is shown on the back cover of Cigar Aficionado August 2008 issue as patron and partner of Louis Vuitton, supporting The Climate Project.

Most Keith Richards fans would brand him and give him his burn notice. MooPig Editorials Dept. finds this a bit drastic.

"It is too early to speculate if Keith is a turncoat, or an Economic hit man,"
said Op/Ed editor-in-chief.

Click here for the Climate Project; The Climate Project consists of 1,000 dedicated volunteers from throughout the United States, trained to educate the public about climate change. Our hope is that by raising the awareness of our fellow citizens about this crisis and informing them about potential solutions, all of us, together, can preserve the climate balance on which our planet depends...
The Climate Project, a nonprofit organization based in Nashville, TN, began operations in June 2006 with the mission of increasing public awareness of the climate crisis at a grassroots level in the United States and abroad. By April 2007, a diverse group of 1,000 volunteers from throughout the U.S. had been trained by Al Gore himself to present a version of the slideshow featured in the Academy Award-winning film An Inconvenient Truth. As of May 2008, they had delivered more than 15,000 presentations and reached a combined audience of well more than a million people.

More on Keith Richards click here:

"Keith Richards; Every time he’s interviewed he comes up with something that’s going to get some extra coverage. These quotes are from an upcoming piece for Uncut Magazine.
On drugs… “I know the fascination, but it ain’t worth it, pal.'"(Pribek.net; Music. 28 Feb 2008)
What Keith Richards does, so does the economy.

No, raising ticket prices is not the solution Pollstar guy. Any moron can look at the above list and figure out that; Young people aren’t going to shows.
"Young people… aren’t going to see Elton John, or Rod Stewart, or Roger friggin’ Waters. And, in some insane, alternate reality, if my 17-year-old stepson wanted to take a girl to go see Phil Collins, he damn sure would not lay out the cost of a PlayStation3 to do it.

-- and --

"Hell, they had to wait on Eddie Van Halen to recover from hip surgery and go through rehab before he could shake his money maker and, he was the one touring. How are you going to continue to pry those fans off of the couch to risk D.U.I. in an attempt to rekindle a bit of misspent youth?" (Pribek; music business. 27 Dec 2007)

Pairing UP at MooPig YouTube :: Keefer, and Chuck, Dylan and the Rest

[from Comments]"... However many videos I see of Eric playing, I never see him playing a bum note, or the wrong chord, or get his timing wrong, or have a guitar that's not properly in tune, even after several numbers. So reliable and so professional. But when it's someone else's turn to be in the spotlight, he always shows respect and restraint, and keeps out of their way until it's his turn. No wonder everyone is happy to play with him on stage. But when his turn does come round, boy does Eric shine ... "

Love these two but christ, did they make a decision to settle on the most boring drummer possible? This guy drags.
leecaw (1 year ago) ***

I believe that's Mr Steve Jordan on drums and I would strongly disagree that he "drags!!!" This guy is well respected by almost all of the worlds top mucisians!!!
GaGaGaGaGa27 (1 year ago) ***

He may be a phenomenal drummer but this song should swing. Listen to the original and then listen to this. There's no looseness to this drumming. The guy plods. He sounds like he's hanging a picture.

Jordan's good, but it's true this version plods and has no pep. Dylan sounds like a drunk bum groaning in his sleep. Keith's okay. Legends? Yeah, fine. Don't let that obscure the fact that the total sound is sloppy and plodding. Listen with your ears, not with history.

geordie212 (1 month ago) ***
so profound....you're clearly a rock & roll star aswel?

ironbuttermilk (1 month ago) ***
Nope, not even close, but I was in and around the biz for a long time and have met and know several. They are only human, like anybody. Most of the comments on YouTube come off like paid promoters, saying these guys are Awesome, whether the performance is great or shitty. I call 'em as I see 'em, I've no axe to grind.

MooPig Movie Reviews :: Blood Creek

If you have been wondering what all the Rasputin-like mystique surrounding Keefer "Keith Richards," has been about all these years -- look no longer. Once you watch this flick, Blood Creek, you should be well ahead in understanding the plan.

At about 181:00:00 into the movie we at MooPig Movie Reviews won't give it away, but you will have your answer.

Why the movie has waited this long to reveal the secrets could only be because of the freedom of information acts that require certain files on humans be opened after a twenty year interval. It does help explain the zombie-like marionette mannerisms of Mick Jagger. It has much to do also with a ball peen hammer and an awl. One other clue: it has a lot to do with the guys of mid 20th century with peculiar mannerisms, who held up their hands as if calling: "TAXI." See -- that's lots of clues for you.

That is about all we have in this review -- do tune in again for the next neo-Flicker dead-tooth Fairy giveaway, pardon our lack of deletable expletives.

[SOURCE] "Now here's a weird case: An out-of-nowhere occult-heavy horror flick from director Joel Schuamcher (The Lost Boys, Flatliners), production company Gold Circle (Slither, White Noise), distributor Lionsgate (too many horror films to mention) -- that got a contractually-mandated afterthought of a theatrical release (25 theaters!) before popping up on the horror shelves, looking all slick and intriguing. (Say what you like about the film itself, but Blood Creek, previously known as Town Creek and also plain old Creek, does offer one bad-ass DVD cover.)"
