MooPig Tech Coroner :: "Licensing Content Makers"

The Free Run is Over; too much Freedom?
Mashed articles by Pat Darnell  |  Feb 11, 2014  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK] Google Tips Boynton Beach Police To 2 Child Porn Images Attached To Draft Email | Story by Scott T. Smith

Is this claim by PC Magazine true? " ... And let's face it, right now the whole Internet scene is a mess. How could regulation be bad (JOHN C. DVORAK. JANUARY 29, 2014. LINK) ...?"

We at MooPig Think Tank disagree; we like the chaos of the Internet.  FCC wants to be a player, and protect its radio and TV turfs. We think that is what they do best, but licencing Internet Content? C'mon! Really? All of it?

The Next Phase of the Internet: Licensing Content Makers | John C. Dvorak | PCMag.com: "This moment in time represents a true golden age of the Internet but such ages are always thwarted in one way of another. For close to 10 years I've been saying that at some point in the future, the Wild West of the Internet will be clamped down and you'll need a license to broadcast content over the Internet. I do not see any trend that does not point in this direction. For a perfect example, look at the debate over net neutrality and filtering or throttling streaming content from the likes of Netflix and Amazon over various mechanisms such as your PC or Roku."
'via Blog this'

Here's a licencing nightmare for you:
" ... Google Images is a search service owned by Google and introduced in July 2001, that allows users to search the Web for image content.[1] The keywords for the image search are based on the filename of the image, the link text pointing to the image, and text adjacent to the image. When searching for an image, a thumbnail of each matching image is displayed. When the user clicks on a thumbnail, the image is displayed in a box over the website that it came from. The user can then close the box and browse the website, or view the full-sized image (wiki. LINK)..."
Wiki goes on to describe Google Images: " ...In 2001, 250 million images were indexed. In 2005, this grew to 1 billion. By 2010, the index reached 10 billion images. As of July 2010, the service receives over one billion views a day. Google introduced a sort by subject feature for a visual category scheme overview of a search query in May 2011 (wiki. LINK).... "

Think about it; a billion visits per day on Google Images alone, on 10 billion images with all their content. MooPig knows it gets all its domestic and foreign visitors from Google Images. So if FCC gets its way and licences all the content of the Internet, we will cease to exist. Big boy corp's and hogs will then take over the Internet.

CONCLUSION
" ... Signal/RF interference problem does not exist with the Internet, where millions of blogs, podcasts, and video networks can and do co-exist. Thus, some other rationale will eventually be determined to limit access in the same way access was limited to the real radio pioneers (ibid. DVORAK.) ..."
" ... There is already talk about clamping down on various forms of hate speech online. Who determines what constitutes hate speech?
Under the guise of anti-bullying all sorts of real attacks on free speech are now common. "Think of the children" will become the rallying cry as very smart people manage to lock down the net for once and for all using every trick imaginable.
I personally do not think there is anything we can do about the eventual draconian regulation of the Internet by government authorities. It won't be tomorrow (I hope not anyway), but it is coming. Enjoy what we have while it lasts.
I'll be waiting to fill out some forms. I think I can get a license.(ibid. Dvorak) ..."

How Fast is Wikipedia?

Pope Francis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
[Picture LINK]

'via Blog this'

You know, folks, the new Pope was just elected about two hours ago. Here is a Wiki page already posted online. How smooth is that? Pope Francis: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Pretty darn smooth.

These images were posted to Google Images just 40 minutes ago. We are nearing the speed of light in our communications. Turn on, login, tune in, see life go by.
" ... Argentine Jorge Bergoglio has been elected pope, the first ever from the Americas and the first from outside Europe in more than a millennium. He chose the name Pope Francis. After announcing “Habemus Papum” “We have a pope!” a cardinal standing on the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica on Wednesday revealed the identity of the new pontiff, using his Latin name. Bergoglio had reportedly finished second in the 2005 conclave that produced Benedict XVI who last month became the first pope to resign in 600 years. The 76-year-old archbishop of Buenos Aires has spent nearly his entire career at home in Argentina, overseeing churches and shoe-leather priests. ... "

MooPig Report from the Middle :: MooPig now has STATS -- Pageviews

What's the Matter Now? ::  PageViews
by Pat Darnell and the Fourth Stooge, with guest person, the Twelfth Man

Bryan, TX  |  Since June 2010, Google has graciously given our blogger nation of blogspot dot com, some STATS for us to peruse. I do not know who gets to see them but they seem innocuous enough.

By July 2010, one month into it, it says MooPig Wisdom blogger spot had 22,456 pageviews. Using that as the first ever STATS captured on this blogspot, we look at the ensuing months for a progression...

Aha, by August 2010 MooPig Wisdom Blogspot recorded 19,588 pageviews... or 2,868 fewer pageviews.

The trend continues as by September MooPig Wisdom Blogspot registers 18,415 pageviews, fewer yet than in the beginning.

Somehow Google STATS can measure the top viewed posts and it shows three main articles: One about a coyote that crossed the road, an article on Julie Benz the actress, and an article about Barbie. Other top pageview getters are postings that include some form of nudity in the pirated images.

These are directly LINK'd to Google Images, the world of image art that I have used as my personal Clip-art files since beginning MooPig Wisdom in '06. This is a grey zone of legality, and one can say I pirated pictures for my own amusement. Okay? 'Nuff said.

There is no advertising in MooPig Wisdom, except for one linkup to Pribek dot Net to alert my readers, all two of them, to his stellar album. Please order yours today.

Since I knew a day would come when my pirating of pictures would be noticed by others who "try" to protect their images, I began drawing my own pictures for publishing on posts. This tactic is very ... hmmmm ... "retro" ... or better word, "backwards thinking." And I am guessing this tactic will extinguish all pageviews eventually. This being the strategy as MooPig Wisdom approaches the two thousand postings mile post.

It turns out that the most popular posts in MooPig Wisdom are linked to Images Gallery in Google by the images that I have been using for my personal glee, thinking them to share. Each image is attached to a page in there. Some one who is visually stimulated sees the image thumb nail, likes it, and clicks on it, and botta boom botta bing, there pops up MooPig Wisdom: " ... one pageview," by gosh by gum.

Conclusion:  Here is the Pat Darnell "Dictum of Internet Blog Popularity STATS"
DARNELL DICTUM
  • a Blog must be somehow linked to Porn on the Internet via images gallery's underage people displaying uncovered parts of their physiques, so that the viewer's vulgarity synapse is activated ...
  • a Blog should have at least one product to sell\trade\auction that every man, woman, child, and their dog cannot live another day without...
  • a blog must contain pieces of pirated content in form of image or audio-video, and be accompanied by a web-site that "looks" subversive
  • All blogs lead to Maurice Strong and the New World Order Conspiracy he promotes, but most of his image and tripe is expunged...
  • a blog's Advertising must be viral to have any effect ...
  • a contribution to a Blog's PayPal account is worth ten thousand pageviews
  • What is a Pageview anyway?
This coming to you from the Middle Reporter that is pure of heart, Aft Thinking, and fond of Corn.

NASA Talk -- Dione

Ghostly Encounter
The surface of Saturn's moon Dione is rendered in crisp detail against a hazy, ghostly Titan. Visible in this image are hints of atmospheric banding around Titan's north pole.

The image was taken in visible blue light with the Cassini spacecraft narrow-angle camera on April 10, 2010. The view was acquired at a distance of approximately 1.8 million kilometers (1.1 million miles) from Dione and 2.7 million kilometers (1.7 million miles) from Titan. Scale in the original image was 11 kilometers (7 miles) per pixel on Dione and 16 kilometers (10 miles) on Titan. The image has been magnified by a factor of 1.5 and contrast-enhanced to aid visibility.

Procrastinate... Hell No! Pro-Activate with Vehemence

Missing and exploited children is a possibility we have difficulty facing as parents. by Pat Darnell

School Pictures have arrived here in Nirvana, Utopia - where women are strong, men are good-looking, and the children are all above average. Herein, it turns out, I sense a passe spirit of putting-off-till-later. Many are procrastinating a simple task; doing simple secondary research in the area of protection of our children's' rights to not be abducted against our collective wills.

Therefore, I submit a starting point for any procrastinating reader of this today.

Our precious bairn at any moment can be swept up into a line of bolixed bullshixta a mile long, and go missing. God forbid! And my prayer is that these possibilities are erased and do not apply today or for eternity... for any child. But --

Hey! Parents -- realize this: it is too late when the event is upon us. The schools send out pictures like the one above, and it is a good source of information for any future or latent "missing and exploited children."

Compliments of our children's' schools in partnership with National Center for Missing and Exploited children, your child's image is on file with parents' permissions.

Try http://www.smilesafekids.com/ for instance website set up for explicit use for M or E children. Claims from the http://www.4child.com/ child I.D. program are similar to tactics for keeping track of our kids:

http://www.4childid.com/pdf/chip_vs_lifetouch.pdf

We already bought the pictures, so why not be a part of a solution that eases turmoil in the wake of a lost child? Not only children -- Hey, I lost my Aunt in LA, she was a victim of Alzheimer's, but her absence caused alarm across the US. My family stretches from coast to coast, OC to Peachtree Georgia... by the time she was found, a lot of property damage was done, and our understanding of "being lost" was changed forever.

Family members who get "out-of-pocket" is not: "Hey, I'll get to that later." Lesson to learn: a little backtrack would have been nice to have!

How to proceed is to ask if our child should or should not be in a database; If so, well shouldn't that be one database that tries to protect identity? Missing children and missing family members is Chaos!

Like I said at the beginning: you bring any citizen from any foreign country and place them in the USA and he/she/it is free, unlike all the rest of the world. Freedom like George Wallace screams from his torture block!!!!

-- But take any American to the any foreign land and all kinds of exploitation "Sh&** Happens!"

I don't have pat answers to enormous quizzical questions posed here, yet I know parents procrastinate (many parents) and that is enough to warrant a nationwide attempt to Pro-activate our efforts to find lost children, 24/7.

This is a reciprocal cause, that can be provided for all levels of Socio-economic families in our nation, for each other in our time. Let me tie this together for you, unless you are not yet activated in motivated ambulation...

Remember, our beloved Internet never sleeps; and we with our intimate National freedom to toil and play any where in our wonderful country, for our birth-right, must take responsibility for fighting the good fight. Utilize your sense of good will and free tool for all in this pursuit to wipe out missing and exploited children in our time. I suggest strongly your vehement pro-activity in this matter.

Me-after-thinks:
One -- the only show on TV that I've noticed besides http://www.amw.com/ America Fights Back: America's Most Wanted is "Without a Trace" seen of late that uses air time to regard missing persons

Two -- Hey Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, why don't you donate some air time to missing and lost, or exploited children and elderly, MIA and other related... you are blind to exploiting such tragic things? Oh, no I don't think so. You exploit the flies on GWB's brow, and all the barfing larvae thereabouts... I put you both on report to try put back something that you take from society wasting time rifling sick politicians and their wives!!! They will always be lost.

Three-- WORD for the day: PRO-ACTIVATE, eh? Mr. Colbert? and --

SETS -- Simple Eloquent Traditional Solution "Bringing the split-aparts back two at a time: putting the world back together."
