MooPig Report from the Middle :: "The Almost Dog"

Robert David Darnell
by Pat Darnell  |  Dec 27, 2013  |  Bryan TX

[Picture by Desiree Darnell] Christmas Day, Dad with our dog Foos, "Where's the new puppy, Grandpaw?"

It has been cool this month. That is how we describe the weather when it is 70 highs and 45 lows, in Houston.

"I don't think we are going to get any freeze this year," says Robert Darnell, my 91 year old Dad.

Since Mom passed away last April, Dad is alone much of the day. He has a home health care helper, Treena, come in from 1 PM to 6 PM every day to help him in his routine. We dropped in on him for Christmas Day. Dropped in as in brought the kids, the dog, and lots of food. Dad eats like a bird.
[Picture LINK]
He said he lost 20 pounds since his last year's physical, now weighing in at 145. He goes to the VA Hospital on 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, in the Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center. Dad wears hearing aids in both ears since his hearing faltered. It was determined he lost much of his hearing ability during WWII when he was on a Destroyer in the Pacific. "Our guns pounding the Japanese during Okinawa, pop, pop, when Kamikazers were trying to sink us ..." Dad says.

Two days before Christmas Dad's home health helper drove him down to Pet Rescue. He thought he might try a small dog to keep him company. So he and Treena mulled over the group of pups in the shelter, and settled on a terrier. Another family thought they might like this pup too. But Dad did the paper work, and adoption process and took his new puppy home.

Treena and Dad showed her the back yard where she would do her business. They played with her in the house.

For the rest of the day the puppy sat calmly in his lap, and followed Dad around the house. Dad uses a rolling walker to get around. He has had a bum knee since he wrenched it a few years back. The VA told him it would take a knee replacement to fix it. But he decided after watching Mom go through that, that he would forego that surgery, "because he is too ole," and has settled for monthly shots that ease his knee.

"What kind of dog is she?" I asked Dad on the phone when I called to tell him we would be there
Christmas Day.

"She's a mixture Terrier," said Dad.

Everything went okay, Treena left for the day, leaving Dad with his new Pup. Around dusk the puppy followed her instincts, and got very riled and boisterous as she heard someone walking outside in the street. Dad puttered over to the front door and opened it. His new puppy tore out of the house and got on the heels of one of Dad's neighbors. It was a nightmare for Dad, because of his impaired hearing, and he has to go pretty slow with his walker on the uneven ground outside.

Dad had to go all the way out to in the street and try to get the puppy back in the house. With his neighbor's help some how they meticulously got the puppy to calm down and go back in Dad's house.

Dad continued his evening routine and eventually went to bed.

When he woke up he discovered several piles of doggy doo around the house. Things were looking bad for Dad's new companion. Dad of course, can't stoop like he used to, and he can't clean like he used to. So, when Treena returned in the afternoon, they took the puppy back to the shelter for the other family who also wanted her.

That's our Report from the Middle; where the women are strong, the men are good-looking, and the children are all above average.

MooPig 'Stuff No One Wants to Hear About' Department :: "Fukushima UPDATE"

Rod Removal has Begun by, yes, Amateurs
mashed articles by Pat Darnell | Nov 7, 2013 | Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

" ... The shortage of qualified workers has been an opportunity for the yakuza. Gangsters have stepped in to supply labor to subcontract to TEPCO's [Tepco, Tokyo Energy & Systems] contractors. The yakuza's labor pool is the most desperate men in Japan. They are poorly trained, suffer from wage theft, and are over-worked and demoralized. TEPCO is enabling the yakuza because management is unwilling to cut profits to pay competitive wages. (FishOutofWaterFollowforDK GreenRoots. Nov 1, 2013. LINK)..."

" ...Nearly 50 gangs with 1,050 members operate in Fukushima prefecture dominated by three major syndicates - Yamaguchi-gumi, Sumiyoshi-kai and Inagawa-kai, police say.(ibid.)..."

" ... In reviewing Fukushima working conditions, Reuters interviewed more than 80 workers, employers and officials involved in the unprecedented nuclear clean-up. A common complaint: the project's dependence on a sprawling and little scrutinized network of subcontractors - many of them inexperienced with nuclear work and some of them, police say, have ties to organized crime. (Antoni Slodkowski and Mari Saito
IWAKI | Fri Oct 25, 2013 LINK) ..."
" ...In a rare prosecution involving a yakuza executive, Yoshinori Arai, a boss in a gang affiliated with the Sumiyoshi-kai, was convicted of labor law violations. Arai admitted pocketing around $60,000 over two years by skimming a third of wages paid to workers in the disaster zone. (ibid.)..."
Daily Kos: "Apocalyptic" Fukushima Fuel Rod Removal Begins Nov. 8; TEPCO Subcontracts Yakuza gangsters: "Worker D: To begin with, it is a mistake to let a company handle the accident when that company didn't even have countermeasures in case of an accident. They are too proud to admit they can't do it under the current condition. Contaminated water keep increasing, workers keep decreasing. There is a law for supporting children and disaster victims, but there is nothing for radiation-exposed workers. Soon, not even yakuza nor amateurs will remain at Fukushima I Nuke Plant."

One-hundred fifty thousand people had to flee from the area around Fukushima I NUKE plant after the 9.0 magnitude earthquake and a massive tsunami hit the plant on March 11, 2011. The disaster triggered three reactor meltdowns, a series of explosions and a radiation leak.

" ... In towns and villages around the plant in Fukushima, thousands of workers wielding industrial hoses, operating mechanical diggers and wearing dosimeters to measure radiation have been deployed to scrub houses and roads, dig up topsoil and strip trees of leaves in an effort to reduce background radiation so that refugees can return home. (ibid.) ... "

CONCLUSION
You can get a job at the clean up today, and work there until you are 70 years old and retiring. Cleanup will take that long, over thirty years. Your wages will be skimmed by unscrupulous bosses, you will encounter life ending radiation, and most likely not live to be 70.

* * *
A Eulogy for Mom

Some of you know Jerre Jean Hynds Darnell as your coworker. Others know her as your party planner. Some know her as their dance partner. The board of Directors knew her as that fastidious worker. You might have caught her style as she walked the runway at the Country Place style show. Maybe you see her in her yard. You might see her praying with her church circle. Many know her as your top secret confidante. Many, many know her as that ravishing beauty. I don't often use the word ravishing, but in Mom's case she is.

But you see, Jerre Jean Hynds Darnell is my Mother!

She bore me, she named me with her heart of hearts husband, and she raised me.

My brother and sisters know of what I speak.

Most important to me is that Mom always speaks the truth. Jerre Darnell always tells the truth. That is her way. The truth isn't always the most popular thing we want to hear. Sometimes when she said those truths, it would make me want to run and hide. And she always stuck to her guns. If you fidgeted, she tells you to sit tight. If you tried to pull her away from her important task, she tells you to hold your horses.

When conversations become nonsensical, Mom relies on her maternal wisdom. Her truth statements have become pearls in her children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's lives. Mom's wisdom, you see, comes back to her.

Mom and her steadfast friend, Robert, are blessed with long lives, 67 years of which they have been husband and wife.

What is Mother --
what is Mother,
without her house
and her child?

Her babies are born
and grown in her domicile

Many houses
Mom has known
Many seeds she has sown,

Where she settled
she made it her own.

As years gathered numbers
some ideals are put to rest
her children, now with children,
are wiser, never alone, at best,
for Mother journeys with us ...

See all their bright little faces
Hear their falsetto voices,
... full of trust, truth, and whim,
Creating such a din.

Thank you all for coming.

MooPig 12 Days of Doom Prep :: DAY Nine "They are Watching"

Our New Government and our Suburban Legends
Retrievals by Pat Darnell  |  Dec 18, 2012  |  Bryan TX

GWEN Towers, Fusion Centers, HAARP, Sheeple, Home Schooling, ... Protection and Freedoms ... no oversight of  governmental 'police state' agencies, ... Watch out -- you could be in trouble just reading this page today. HA!

Jesse Ventura is an interesting person. He is a Smack down sort of personality, ex-SEAL, was a pro Wrestler... and a Governor. Now retired he makes shows about Conspiracies in our national picuture. What could be more fun than that?

In this "banned episode" Governor Ventura uses docudrama effectively to to find stoney faced conspirators and persons that are conspiratorial-ized.  In this mind bender, police and intelligence gathering has reached a level in the US that can only be described as frightening. One whistle blower answers "Nobody" when asked" and "who is in charge?"

It is enough to get your bowels in an uproar. I know mine are. Oh no, they can control my bowels too?!

So let's narrow the field to "Fusion Centers" which is a generic name for federal government centers that coordinate with state and local agencies, and fuses that with bigger agencies of federal government.
" ... As of July 2009, there are 72 fusion centers around the country and one in nearly every state.1 These entities work under the auspices of local law enforcement, often integrating with the state’s police force, Department of Justice, or Office of Emergency Management. The fusion center integrates law enforcement intelligence activities throughout the jurisdiction, providing federal authorities access to local information and databases, while simultaneously allowing federal agencies to disseminate intelligence materials to local authorities. There are often federal representatives present in local fusion centers, either from civilian or military sources. The Department of Homeland Security lists 36 active field representatives as of July 2009 and a number of fusion centers are integrated with their state’s National Guard through “liaison officers”.2
*[Ye-gads, for some reason, Google Blogger isn't even letting me write this all down right now]* I keep getting 'Error Statement. "An error occurred while trying to save or publish your post. Please try again. Ignore warning?"'

Well, better make this short: If you live in the USA you are being watched. If you "pose a threat" you will be watched closely. Threats now reach into the "inalienable rights of individuals" category.

Such as "targeting groups because of their political beliefs, what you buy, what you read, who you associate with." The suspicious activities Fusion Centers look for is individuals or groups doing photography, video, drawing diagrams, taking measurements, expressing views.

I think I may have hit every LINK and "suspicious" word in this short essay. What do you think? The "thought police are here."

Bill Moyers: "Our Politicians Are Money Launderers in the Trafficking of Power and Policy"

Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Dec 5, 2011 | Bryan TX

Bill Moyers: "Our Politicians Are Money Launderers in the Trafficking of Power and Policy" | Truthout:
EXCERPT  | "... "So if belief in the “the dogma of democracy” seems only skin deep, there are reasons for it. During the prairie revolt that swept the Great Plains a century after the Constitution was ratified, the populist orator Mary Elizabeth Lease exclaimed: “Wall Street owns the country…Our laws are the output of a system which clothes rascals in robes and honesty in rags. The [political] parties lie to us and the political speakers mislead us…Money rules.”"
Why New York’s Zuccotti Park is filled with people is no mystery. Reporters keep scratching their heads and asking: “Why are you here?” But it’s clear they are occupying Wall Street because Wall Street has occupied the country. And that’s why in public places across the country workaday Americans are standing up in solidarity. Did you see the sign a woman was carrying at a fraternal march in Iowa the other day? It read: “I can’t afford to buy a politician so I bought this sign.” ... "
