MooPig Transhumanism Department :: "Kurzweil Speaks / We Listen"

[Picture LINK]

Kurzweil: ‘Human Hybrids by 2030’ - Uncommon Wisdom Daily: "After all … he who controls thought, controls the world."

'via Blog this'

Parley with us a while. Ray Kurzweil was pointed out to us six years ago by Pribek dot nation. There is no such thing as a prophet some might say, and others would point to Kurzweil, Futurist. I am convinced and for good reason, that Ray Kurzweil wields that honor today of prophet, especially in AI, Artificial Intelligence.

Think about it. We are saving bits of data that are essentially repugnant doody parts of conversations from faecesBook, comments on forked-tongue articles, and immeasurable other social networking cacophony. But there is a limit to amount of data that can be transmitted over a fiber optic cable. Yes there is, a limit up to four terabytes of data per second, after which there is dissonance on the line.

We are reaching our limits in communications. Think of a Berkeley professor who teaches communications today. Yes a liberal college, but does he teach anything other than ethics? What if there comes a time when every person on earth, all 7 billion, at one time all have the same thought, have the same song on our lips, all like the same color? It would be the hour of obliteration.
"... According to genius inventor and noted futurist Ray Kurzweil, in just 15 years humans will meld with computers ... “Our thinking then will be a hybrid of biological and non-biological thinking,” said Kurzweil. (June 5, 2015, Brad Hoppmann. LINK) ..."
With limitations of technology, mind melding with nanobots as Kurzweil describes it, will only lead to a stopping point, a brick wall. But someone will figure a way around that too. However, if you want to continue marching to the beats of different drummers in your own life, then you better steer clear of hybridizing technologies. Otherwise you could become rather uncomfortable non-participant in the hive of a New World Order.

Kurzweil has 7 books that are now on my To Read List:

UPDATE Honey Bee Down :: "Somebody is Monkeying Around"

Symbioticism, Commensalism, Mutualism, Parasitism, Oh My!
Perpetrated articles by Pat Darnell  |  Mar 14, 2014  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

MooPig is all about symbiosis, thus the pig in the bull, but can the pig live without the bull? Sure it can. Can the bull live without the pig? Yes. So the two groups do not harm each other.

Let's look at another symbiosis, can the human live without the bees? No. The honey bee is "matchmaker of crops and bringer of honey (Jennifer Frazer | January 31, 2014. LINK) ... "

So the larger group of bees can live without humans all right. This is not a symbiotic relationship. It is a relationship where one group benefits while the other is unaffected by that group. Bees pollinate flowers, fruit and nut trees, vegetables, and 90 in all foods, despite human intervention. Bees make honey regardless of human activity. Yes, we humans are almost a parasite to the honey bees, because someone has their arm in the honey comb.

How do we skip evolutionary steps? It is by diddling around with genetics, and by making splendorous insecticides, that's how. So, where does this take us? Where does it leave the honey bees?
"... [D]iseases that result from pathogen host shifts are a threat to the health of humans and their domesticates. RNA viruses have extremely high mutation rates and thus represent a significant source of these infectious diseases. In the present study, we showed that a plant-pathogenic RNA virus, tobacco ringspot virus (TRSV), could replicate and produce virions in honeybees, Apis mellifera, resulting in infections that were found throughout the entire body (Ji Lian Lia, R. Scott Cornmanb, Jay D. Evansb... 20 October 2013 Accepted 13 December 2013 Published 21 January 2014. LINK) ..."
Suspicious Virus Makes Rare Cross-Kingdom Leap From Plants to Honeybees | The Artful Amoeba, Scientific American Blog Network: "When HIV jumped from chimpanzees to humans sometime in the early 1900′s, it crossed a gulf spanning several million years of evolution. But tobacco ring-spot virus, scientists announced last week, has made a jump that defies credulity. It has crossed a yawning chasm ~1.6 billion years wide."
"... According to the authors of this study, this is the first evidence that honeybees can be infected by plant-virus contaminated pollen, but it might not have been the first or last. About 5% of plant viruses are pollen-borne. The genetic material of most? RNA.(ibid. Jennifer Frazer.)..."
'via Blog this'

CONCLUSION
" ... The evidence of systemic spread and propagation of a plant-pathogenic virus in honeybees raises awareness of the potential impact of new viral disease emergence on bee health. While findings from this study have important implications for understanding TRSV transmission and pathogenesis, much remains to be learned about the intracellular life cycle, species-level genetic variation, and pathogenesis of the virus in honeybee hosts. Although the cause(s) of CCD and the decline in the worldwide bee population is not yet fully understood ..., a growing body of evidence has indicated that parasites and pathogens are key culprits involved in widespread disappearance/death and population declines of honeybees (ibid. Ji Lian Lia. LINK) ..."

MooPig Brain Industries :: "Sabotage"

Let's examine the issue and attempt to get at the truth behind the myth.
Mashed articles by Pat Darnell | Sep 29, 2013 | Bryan TX

Have you ever heard the claim that mankind is perverse? Well, here is a theory being bounced around. Our own intelligence is being sabotaged by our aggressive neediness of "wanting to believe." And some say we only "use 10% or 11% of our brains capacity."

No matter how you slice it, those who think they know stuff about our brains, heaven help them, may try to stimulate logical brain activities with truthful factoids, but many brains will rebel just because that is the brain's predetermination.

"The climate is not changing because of increased CO2 in the atmosphere," says the brain of someone who lives on the edge of denial.

Most Depressing Brain Finding Ever | Marty Kaplan: "Maybe climate change denial isn't the right term; it implies a psychological disorder. Denial is business-as-usual for our brains. More and better facts don't turn low-information voters into well-equipped citizens. It just makes them more committed to their mis-perceptions. In the entire history of the universe, no Fox News viewers ever changed their minds because some new data upended their thinking. When there's a conflict between partisan beliefs and plain evidence, it's the beliefs that win. The power of emotion over reason isn't a bug in our human operating systems, it's a feature."

  'via Blog this'

Today in our society brain industries is quackery, say we. How many times do we "brain carrying species" have to be reminded that our capacity to use it in a constructive way, is below par? That brain bucket of ours just doesn't want to behave logically in the face of catastrophe. Let's look in at Wikki ...
" ... The 10% of brain myth is the widely perpetuated urban legend that most or all humans only make use of 20%, 10% or some other small percentage of their brains. It has been misattributed to people including Albert Einstein.[1] By association, it is suggested that a person may harness this unused potential and increase intelligence.
Though factors of intelligence can increase with training,[2] the popular notion that large parts of the brain remain unused, and could subsequently be "activated", rests more in popular folklore than scientific theory. Though mysteries regarding brain function remain—e.g. memory, consciousness — the physiology of brain mapping suggests that most if not all areas of the brain have a function.[3][4] (Y ikki peed ya. nd. LINK) ... "
Who you going to believe? Do we or don't we use our brains for anything useful?
" ... The human brain is complex. Along with performing millions of mundane acts, it composes concertos, issues manifestos and comes up with elegant solutions to equations. It's the wellspring of all human feelings, behaviors, experiences as well as the repository of memory and self-awareness. So it's no surprise that the brain remains a mystery unto itself. ... (Robynne Boyd. Mind & Brain :: Fact or Fiction :: February 7, 2008. LINK) ... "

CONCLUSION
Our brains are not fully understood, but the myth that we don't use it is an attempt to explain why we sabotage logic all the time, with our beliefs. Ten percent of the brain is made of neurons, and the other 90% is glial cells. We don't yet know how the glial cells function or what they do -- glial cells, which encapsulate and support neurons, but whose function remains largely unknown.

SUMMARY
It's not that we use 10 percent of our brains, merely that we only understand about 10 percent of how it functions.

U.S. CONFIRMS EXISTENCE OF MERMAIDS | Weekly World News: "The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) confirmed that mermaids exist and that they are growing in numbers. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reportedly published a post on their “Ocean Facts” newsfeed titled “Conclusive Evidence of  the Existence of Aquatic Humanoids.” ( Frank Lake on May 16, 2013 LINK) ... I watched the episode on Animal Planet last night. It was a doozy. Fake, but a doozy of a dossier.
By Jktorres28 on May 28, 2013 at 3:30 am
Posted In: Uncategorized
On “Mermaids: The New Evidence,” Animal Planet revisited its documentary about the existence of mermaids from last year, “Mermaids: The Body Found.” Biologist Dr. Paul Robertson returned with what appeared to be brand new footage of the alleged mythical creatures, allegedly taken this spring in the Greenland Sea.
Viewers were glued to the TV watching the new special, getting “Mermaids: The New Evidence” trending on Twitter.
But the whole thing is a hoax — the original documentary was revealed to be staged. Discovery, Animal Planet’s parent company, described the program as “science fiction” based on “scientific theory.”
The executive producer of “Mermaids: The New Evidence” told the Mother Nature Network that he wanted people to think it was real — that’s why they made it look like a documentary.
And The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration maintains, “Mermaids: The New Evidence” is just entertainment. Its website reads: “No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found. Why, then, do they occupy the collective unconscious of nearly all seafaring peoples? That’s a question best left to historians, philosophers, and anthropologists.”
TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser.

CONCLUSION
After “Mermaids: The Body Found” premiered, NOAA issued a statement: “No evidence of aquatic humanoids has ever been found. Why, then, do they occupy the collective unconscious of nearly all seafaring peoples? That’s a question best left to historians, philosophers, and anthropologists.”

But we still wonder.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "TIME's Person of the Year 2011"

The World is Terribly Out of Balance, and has been for a while, Actually
by Pat Darnell | November 13, 2011 | Bryan TX

When TIME magazine was a legitimate magazine, in the last century, it had credibility. Its Person of the Year magazine cover articles were timely. *[Hehe -- chuckles]*

With ascent of digital data streams, TIME has run amok in many ways. It no longer depends on snail mail, and readers' responses for determining its main concentration for the past years. It uses online surveys, even though they are subjective, and it uses feelers, like web crawlers, to suss out a good candidate for Person of the Year.

If you have a faceBook account [a free entity open to everyone in the world] you can sign in to TIME and vote. You can also double check TIME's content, but that is another story.

When Ronald Reagan said, "Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall," he was voted in as the potus P of the Y, eh? (TIME. Jan 5, 1981. HERE . Man of the Year 1981), and, (TIME. Dec 19, 2004. HERE. Person of the Year) Those were easy pickings. You get the idea, though. It is a yearly designation that balances the present conditions with a constituency of readers... right?

So, if you want that distinction, you can try a cryptic quote, like Reagan quoth, or look around for something and someone to believe in. MooPig voted YES to 99%-er.

The 99% - Who Should Be TIME's Person of the Year 2011? - TIME: "From tsunamis to budget battles to revolutions, 2011 has been a tumultuous, news-packed year. Who influenced the news most, for better or for ill? Tradition dictates that TIME's editors choose the Person of the Year, but we want to know: if you were in charge, who would it be? And remember, a person's inclusion as a 'candidate' in the poll doesn't mean he, she or they are serious candidates to be named Person of the Year by the magazine."

Brain Industries :: Labeled, Desensitized, and Redirected -- Part TWO American Football under Review

Football Pitch-man Dies at Age 72
Retrieved by Pat Darnell and the Herd

... A lot of people say to me: "Pat what are you doing?" ...

ME: "I am behaving in an obsessive, compulsive manner that is in concert with my brain and how it functions. I am clipping articles, like you may have seen so many others end up doing... sort of a trail of 'wonder' ... shall I apologize?"

They ask: "HUNH? What does that mean?"

ME: "Only, this type of clipping is like a digest of things that spark random highlights in my dendrites, but I get to Cut\Paste with a PC, all night, if I wish."

They ask: "Then why this article on Don Meredith?"

ME: "I see here that Dandy Don died from a brain hemorrhage, and he was a football player who received a minimum of 2000 knocks to the head in a year of football practice and game playing, for every year he was in football... and that could have led to nerve damage, or neck damage that he learned to live with ... although his brain had raspberries all over it from concussions ... causing him to die earlier than he might have .... say -- his life should have gone into the nineties, -- twenty years short, I'd say. Twenty years is a long time in human age.

Don Meredith
Meredith played for the Cowboys from 1960-68, taking them from winless expansion team to the brink of a championship.
"Dandy Don" died Sunday after suffering a brain hemorrhage and lapsing into a coma in Santa Fe, N.M., where he lived out of the limelight with his wife, Susan, for the last 25 years. He was 72.
Meredith was the life of the party in the "Monday Night" booth from 1970 through 1984, except for a three-year stint playing a detective on NBC's "Police Story." He spent 11 of those years teamed with another former star player, Frank Gifford, a friend before they became broadcast partners.
Meredith also appeared in more than a dozen made-for-TV movies, specials or dramas. He once filled in for Johnny Carson on the "Tonight Show," and was a popular pitchman for Lipton tea. [Read Entire Article Here]

Brain Industries :: Labeled, Desensitized, and Redirected -- Let's build a Megalith

Milestones [so-to-speak] of Brain-ology
Retrieval by Pat Darnell [article written in the spirit of Science Historian, James Burke, Circles, and Connections]

Who is smarter; Ancients or Us? Sometimes we, as a nation, act as if we never landed on the Moon. Consider these phrases as if they are two intermeshed halves of one sphere... spheres that we seek as a collective human group to touch, taste and smell; also fight about.
  • Othiseus lived in the days of Achilleus
  • ... The East is Mammon. The West follows money into a pen
  • In The West, all roads are fed through Rome
  • ... Masculinism = Honour Culture
  • Attila was the Scourge of the Goddess
  • ... The East has hated The West since before its Races were Self-Conscious
  • In America today, you can't even talk straight
  • ... Krauts are the real Scape-Goats
  • Selfishness during War is Treason
  • ... If you say it's too hard, you've only said you're too soft
  • Just because you can't beat them doesn't mean they can't be
  • ... A loyal son must exceed the deeds of his forefathers, for he already has their shoulders to stand on
  • Never say "if" to God
  • ... Cowardice and Treason is the lowest deed and highest crime
  • Every loser has a "special" sad story
  • ... A wise man knows he ain't worth two pricks
  • America demonstrates the effects of blindly letting women define masculinity
What does this list of axioms have to do with the rest of the article? Stick around a minute or two, read on, read on...
Yes we are rock harvesters, and students of stardust, and we will build our share of megaliths in our own solar system before it is all over.

[SOURCE] "Other megalithic structures such as these cromlechs (stone circles) and dolmens represent an even earlier stage of development of megalithic architecture, predating Stonehenge. Sites such as this are found in Spain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Britain, Ireland and up into southern Scandinavia, showing that these structures belong to the native R1b genetic haplotype Celtic people who are indigenous to Western Europe and were its earliest inhabitants:"

Stone circle at Callanish, Isle of Lewis, Scotland

Conclusion: No one of ancient ,or, of  modern times is smarter than the other. Our own brain is divided in two half-spheres that argue around each other incessantly. Can't my two brain halves just get along? Well, no they aren't supposed to. You see, it is why we are castaways in our own environment.

We could never have gone to the Moon if ancients from 10,000 years ago had not built Megaliths and used them to follow Moon patterns for 17 to 18 years. They did this for a particular moment when the Moon caresses a distant mount's profile that looks like a woman in repose... just once every generation. Talk about spectacle. That event used to bring out the major party-going crowds.

Later, at 250,000 miles away in the vacuum of space, Americans in 1969 navigated across a landscape of extreme conditions on the nearside of the Moon. Astronauts drove a Moon Rover across uncharted moonscapes.

Between the first example and second one: It turns out the United States would never have existed, while in a different pioneer enterprising effort, 359 years earlier than the moon landings, settlers mostly from England found a harsh life on the Eastern shores of North America.

Therefore, before astronauts' extra-terrestrial away miracle event occurred, around 1610, the first Americans led by Sir Walter Raleigh, and Colonist John Rolfe brought tobacco seeds from Trinidad. Rolfe mixed seeds with New World species and fostered tobacco industry that flourished. Unfortunately, Brit's had kidnapped Pocahontas and Rolfe married her to assure his crops reached fruition in the Indian lands.

American grown tobacco as a cash crip built fortunes that are today still being used to build better and faster space vehicles.

Could it have been seeds of observance from much earlier, about 8000 BC, sown by settlers of the Isles of Scotland. Ancients going about the industry of charting cyclic movement of yonder Moon, built their megalith of stones at Callanish, to track an eighteen year cycle of the moon's behavior.

Anything happen to your brain as you ponder these time\space fractals with me? Yes? That is Brain Industry...

Gentle, Witness
by Pat Darnell

Please witness
some folks ...with-holdin' say
I'm calvinist
before most, and
most forebode'in

i pout 'n think i
should miss my lips full
pleasure for what kind
soul should kiss my lips
upon end of my
spirit's full measure

try hard to find me
in bower where i
hide and summon me
as i sink sour...
... inside

see just out yonder
there is that huge man
see him my blunder
will too you cover
him in sand as if
he were your plunder

wake me tomorrow
if you insist, or
if it is Easter
press me on morrow
with gentle kiss, and

be my very own
gentle witness

Be my very own...
