" ... Want to boost your immune system for the up-coming flu season? Show the flu who's boss and strengthen your immunity with this antioxidant loaded raspberry orange smoothie! Raspberries are packed with 10 times the antioxidants found in tomatoes and broccoli - in fact, these little berries contain some antioxidants that are found almost nowhere else.

" ... Both raspberries and orange contain vitamin C (which is crucial for developing a strong and healthy immune system) - however, raspberries contain an antioxidant called ellagitanins, which is found nowhere else except in small amounts in strawberries (as well as in some Chinese herbs). These antioxidants not only strengthen our immune system, but they scavenge cancer-causing chemicals, rendering them inactive and thus unable to mutate our DNA.

" ... Many studies have shown the positive effects of ellagitanins (Ellagic acid) in raspberries such as:

- Making cervical cancer cells undergo apoptosis (cell death)
- Inhibiting mitosis in cancer cells (cancer cell division) by arresting the G1 cycle
- Preventing the P53 gene destruction by cancer cells
- Similar results above for cancers of the breast, pancreas, esophagus, skin, colon and prostate. Positive responses also observed in periodontal disease, radiation induced chromosomal damage, slowing the degenerative process of aging and healing neurodegenerative diseases (Posted Yesterday by livelovefruit. MooPig Tech Solutions :: "Infinite Energy Magazine"

My Final Days will be Spent on This
by Pat Darnell  |  Oct 13, 2013  |  Bryan TX

Wouldn't it just be crazy as life itself if the model for free energy has always been right beneath our noses? Like D'Vinci modeled things directly from observing and sketching nature; his helicopter, his war machines, etc.

Just at the age when my fingers are starting to tremble a little, I embark on this new quest: find out about "free energy" and put my brain on it. That is correct, I dedicate the rest of my life to finding it and teaching it to my children.

Opening argument: It can't be that difficult to find, it's all around us in nature.

[Picture LINK] The term "cold fusion" originated in 1989 when Martin Fleishmann and Stanley Pons claimed achieving nuclear fusion at room temperature with a simple, inexpensive tabletop device. That claim fomented an international sensation because nuclear fusion holds potential for providing the world with a virtually limitless new source of energy.

MooPig's Google Watch:: "Things, not strings"

[Picture LINK]

Things, not strings: How Google’s new Hummingbird algorithm sets the stage for the future of mobile search | VentureBeat: "While Google has changed how it updates its search algorithm over the years, one thing has remained constant:  a whole lot of ensuing backlash from search engine optimization (SEO) experts Hummingbird, Google’s latest update, is no exception. Officially launched last week, the new algorithm represents the biggest change to Google’s search functionality in 10 years — a fact that, perhaps understandably, has gotten more than a few SEO experts worked up. But Hummingbird is more than SEO — and it’s also more than just search. Here are a few takeaways."

'via Blog this'

To sum it up, it looks like this:
  1. Mobile is the future, so Google should be attuned to answering search queries in the most mobile-friendly way.
  2. People tend to be conversational with their mobile searches (“Where can I buy a new pair of underwear?”)
  3. Ergo, the future of Google search is mobile-focused and question-oriented.
Core to what Google is doing with Hummingbird is a shift in focus away from keywords and towards intent and semantics, which are infinitely more relevant to users. While the Google of a decade ago was focused on delivering search results based solely on queries, the Google of today is drawing insights from a variety of other signals — location, social connections, and even your previous searches.

CONCLUSION
Google has quietly retooled the closely guarded formula running its Internet search engine to give better answers to the increasingly complex questions posed by Web surfers.

MooPig Job Skills Department :: "How to Fix the American Skills Gap"

Skills to pay the Bills
Re-blogged by Pat Darnell | Oct 12, 2013 | Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

Although not very popular anymore, if ever they were popular, apprenticeship positions are missing in our world of work. Apprenticeship rates in there with occupations like "volunteering" or "Babysitting" ... but middle management requires a solid understanding of technology of the jobs they are given. Dealing with people, or soft skills, are based on the person's propensity to lubricate the middle management situation accurately.

LinkedIn posted to my gmail a series of job skill and interviewing articles. Here is an excerpt of "How to:

How to Fix the American Skills Gap | LinkedIn: "The process to get hired, however, is demanding. From an initial applicant pool that could number upward of two hundred, the group is narrowed to about thirty through a series of interviews and a test. About fifteen people get into an eight- to twelve-week boot camp of classes designed around problem-solving activities, not lectures. “The idea is to put them on an island and throw them a problem to solve,” Ruggiero says. “After all, that’s the way the real world works.” A world in which the skill-set of U.S. works is quickly falling behind."

'via Blog this'
" ... Here’s the problem: the idea of graduating from a four-year college in the U.S. is so firmly ingrained in our culture that many of us have trouble envisioning anything else. It seems we send some kids off to college because there is nowhere else to put them. The campus is a convenient, albeit expensive, warehouse.
" ... By clinging to the belief that education after high school can be found only at a four-year college campus, we exclude large portions of the American population from sharing in the nation’s economic successes. In 1970, seven in every ten workers with a high school diploma or less were in the middle class; today, fewer than four in ten remain there. More and more jobs demand training beyond high school. By 2020, two out of every three jobs will require some sort of higher education.

" ... We need an expanded notion of what constitutes an education after high school to include more on-the-job training and apprenticeships in addition to classroom learning. In extending our definition of higher education, more attention needs to be given to “middle jobs.” These are positions that do not require a bachelor’s degree, but pay middle-class wages. Nearly half of the jobs in the United States today that put people in the middle class are these middle jobs.

" ... Corporate executives worry more about filling these positions than they do about finding employees for high-end careers in engineering, design, and technology. “We can secure all the grads we need from elite schools,” Thomas Bowler, senior vice president at United Technologies, told me. “That’s not a challenge. It’s the other half of the workforce that I worry about.”
