In 2008 the Democrats controlled the House, and 'Dubya' Bush thumbed his nose at them. He conveniently abused his power to ignore certain protocols of legislation that were put in place to balance powers of Houses and Executive, especially in spending for military bases and for declarations of war.

" ... It's about as basic as it gets: Congress has the power of the purse. And Section 1222 of the massive defense appropriation bill enacted this week [Wednesday, January 30, 2008] asserts that power. It reads, in its entirety:

"No funds appropriated pursuant to an authorization of appropriations in this Act may be obligated or expended for a purpose as follows:

"(1) To establish any military installation or base for the purpose of providing for the permanent stationing of United States Armed Forces in Iraq.

What Dubya did was to not veto any bills from the Democratic led Congress. He signed all the bills and invited all the authors to a grandiose signing photo op ... then afterwards he made Executive Notes called: "signing statements" on those bills. He did not intend to follow much of those bills. What a ruse, eh?

'Dubya' Bush set precedence that others will surely follow. He was a lazy, anti-democracy, evil-doer, bully, who was raised in Washington, DC environment by his "public servant" dad.

According to a CBS News/New York Times poll, 98 percent of Americans no longer appreciate President Barack Obama's attempts to break down the economic crisis into simple terms they can understand. Instead, many say the president should have the decency to insult their intelligence by using complex jargon to confuse and deceive them, perhaps even implying that the subprime mortgage fallout was just a big misunderstanding that resulted from a clerical error.

"I know when he's telling the truth, and it bothers me," recently laid-off schoolteacher Mary Hanover said of Obama. "He gets this serious expression on his face and says things like, 'This is the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.' Who needs to hear that? For Christ's sake, smile a bit and say we just found a diamond mine under Montana that's going to pay for everything. I'll believe you."

"Please, treat me like a child. Treat me like a five-year-old," Sacramento resident David Cooke, 64, wrote in a letter to Congress. "I lost everything when the Dow tanked, and I'm too old to start working again, so why punish me further by explaining in detail the clever ways these investment firms ripped me off and how they're all going to get away with it?"

Thus far, many policymakers in Washington have responded favorably to their constituents' requests, saying they respect and understand the public's need for dishonesty.

"I think we can accommodate the American people on this," Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) told reporters. "Why, just today we made excellent progress with GM, whose CEO Fritz Henderson told us that every penny of federal and taxpayer funds would go directly to the construction of three new auto plants in Detroit that will create over 90,000 new jobs and spark the economic rebound we've been waiting for."

Part-time MooPig CNN "Commentary Analyst" Wilma Storensen of Two Girls Waffle House, Knife River, MN has some tips for hunters this winter: "Many times we go hunting for Bull. We need lots of bull to fill in the cold, dark days and nights of winter. Most the time hunters hunting bull can see tell tale signs from bull scat over and around herds of heifers."

"For cold storage we like the not too young nor too old bull meat," says Wilma. She then divulges the top secret of Minnesotan success in cutting through the bull.

"If you want to improve your chances of catching perfect bull, there is one more ingredient to include in your hunt," says the crafty business woman and matriarch. "Without Bias, there will not be any Bull. You have to look for the bias."

According to CNN's Campbell Brown's commentary if there is No Bias, then there is No Bull. She provides us with this template of very up to the minute Questions to ask when hunting for Bull.

CNN's Campbell Brown admonishes Rendell. Here are the Questions posed by Ms Brown in OP/ED on CNN --

1. How many times have politicians been warned about the dangers of open microphones?
2. If a man had been Obama's choice for the job[National Homeland Security Sec], would having a family or not having a family ever even have been an issue?
3. Would it ever have prompted a comment?
4. Probably not. We [know] that with a man there tends to be a wife in the wings taking care of those Family concerns?
5. As a woman hearing this, it's hard not to wonder if we're counted out for certain jobs, or certain opportunities because we do have a family, or we are in our child bearing years. Are we? It's a fair question.
6. If you're a childless single woman, with suspicions that you get stuck working holidays and weekends, and the more burdensome shifts, more often than your colleagues [who have] families -- are those suspicions well founded?
7. Is there an assumption that if you are family free [then] you have no life?
8. Governor Rendell, ...I know what you meant to say, but your comments do perpetuate stereotypes that put us in boxes, both mothers and single women.
9. IN government and beyond, men have been given benefit of the doubt, when it comes to striking the right work\ life balance. Women are owed the same consideration.
