MooPig Anthology and Stuff Department :: "Cargo Cults"
Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Nov 17, 2013 | Bryan TX

MooPig Anthology and Stuff Department had been reading about "Cargo Cults," when this article stuck out from the rest. The article is irreverent of indigenous people who practice one or another cults. The reason for the contempt is that it implies that all of us earth dwellers subject ourselves to believing in "higher power" cults that turn out to be simply "advanced technology."
Read the Article HERE:
Cargo Cults - Humans Will Believe Anything | Sick Chirpse: "So how does a feeble human brain readjust to fit in all of this new and unexpected shizzle? Well, simply put, it’s all assigned to a higher power – The ultimate solution for confusion in the uneducated human. The inhabitants decided to try and get back to the glory days by inventing odd cults and new rituals. Some of these Cargo Cults still remain to this day, including one in Tanna (a remote island) where more than half a century on, they continue with their unsuccessful rituals. They try their best to mimic the soldier’s activities in a hope that they too can summon the same wealth and technology that those mystical foreigners had managed to steal." (Lazer Horse. June 18. [Picture by Pat Darnell] Cargo Cult, or ... just Supplies?
CONCLUSION
The article suggests that these kinds of cult followings can be eradicated through education. MooPig Wisdom thinks that cults will never be eradicated. Sure, one can read about traits and practices of people and become wise to a cult, which is what anthology is all about, but humans apparently need something to believe in. So no matter what kind of "tosh" is removed from belief systems, another whole set of rituals are borne to make a new belief system with a cult following.
Following a belief with rituals and such is said most often to "fill a void" in the heart of the follower. And your Lords and Masters are counting on all of us falling for the latest cults.

Poop Snow on an Ancient Burial Ground: This Can't End Well:
'via Blog this'
When I lived in Houston, in the 70's, I worked with a boss who was born and raised in Wisconsin. He told us stories about snowy weather. One day he mentioned his job at home was to take out the garbage for his mom. So all winter he took the bags of waste out by the garage and threw them in the snow. They got buried there, instead of collected like usual. When the snow thawed, "garbage-geddon."
[Picture LINK]
Winter around the corner; you have your snow skis out and dusted off. There is one thing you should know. If you are going to Flagstaff's Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort be sure to bring your anti-fungal creams and ointments.
"... [B]y expanding onto 74 acres of sacred land in the San Francisco Peaks and manufacturing 100 percent of its snow from sewage....": Yes that is right, correct, reported HERE.
I wonder what would happen if the same thing were to happen at a ski resort in Utah. You know that ancestor thing is huge there amongst Mormon LDS. Piling human waste all over the burial sites of groups is one thing; having your family fall and scrape themselves in the frozen effluence of sewage is another thing. I don't think the living or the dead are going to like this very much.
This is fracked in so many ways: the entire ski slope is "made entirely from repurposed poop." And, also, the U.S. Forest Service says the "crap water is just fine, grading its quality just below that of drinking water." Isn't this "disrespecting Native Americans' traditions, while also harming the environment and polluting aquifers?" (Horn, Leslie. Sep 27, 2012. HERE)

MooPig's Flood Gauge Fusion :: "the NEPHILIM"
SECTION ONE: THE NEPHILIM COVER-UP HERE
EXCERPT | " ... In this chapter I make an effort to anticipate various aspects of a huge and carefully crafted deception program which the Devil has planned for the world, particularly during the final months of human history.
Once again though, the problem is..in trying to communicate many of these things, we're coming up against the net effect of PreTrib Rapturism which creates a strange kind of detachment and withdrawal from realism. PreTrib would respond to the entirety of this chapter's contents with--"Who cares what the Devil has in store for the final days--I'll be up in the 'heavenly places' when all of this is going on."
For example, in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami a few years ago, in which over a quarter million people died...there was a great deal of excited chatter on Christian discussion boards all over the Internet. Some of these folks aren't quite cognizant of the fact that all the various subcultures can now, by means of the Internet, get intimate inside glimpses of each other's internal affairs and discussions...and non-'believers' heard a thousand variations of-- "Oooh, that tsunami must mean the Lord's return is at hand! Praise be! Hallelujah! Oh and...uh...too bad about all the dead people, of course."
I'm asking--what's wrong with this picture? Something has gone waaay wrong with conservative Evangelicalism and its "carried-off-to-heaven-on-flowery-beds-of-ease" doctrines.
I'm sure many would point out there have been Christian organizations that stepped in to help with the Tsunami victims. That's fine...but I'm talking about the weird effect Pretrib has had on the rank and file..a kind of premature withdrawal...which (understandably) comes across as very inappropriate and cynical to non-church-goers. They cannot understand the giddiness and glee with which PreTrib Evangelicals greet these increasingly troubled times.
Even among Evangelicals who claim they are not explicitly PreTrib, I still hear a lot of this:
"Everything I need to know about the Devil and his demons, and about the world around me...I can read about on the pages of the Holy Bible." ( Matt TwoFour. no date. ) ... "

Report from the Middle :: Converging Arguments
A more Special Relativity
by Pat Darnell
"I am by heritage a Jew, by citizenship a Swiss, and by makeup a human being, and only a human being, without any special attachment to any state or national entity whatsoever. " (Eisnstein, Albert. Letter to Alfred Kneser; 7 June 1918; Doc. 560 in The Collected Papers of Albert Einstein, Vol. 8)
Bryan TX, 05.04.2010 | Call it what you want, convergence, theories of everything, or just plan everything is everything. The truth is out there, and actually it is inside you and me.
The greatest accomplishment of our computer age is the mapping of the human genome. Genetic jumps can be detected now that we have a molecular makeup of our selves.
The second greatest advent in our otherwise meager lives is our capability to see and detect distant celestial events via Hubble, and, International Space Station. It has become a commonplace routine for smart, well-trained people to catch a space shuttle up to the ISS, and check out what bothers and stimulates their querying mental processes.
A trip to the ISS, seeing first-hand all that magnified, unfathomable, spectacle, while detached from earth, floating weightless, certainly is the most wonderful thing a person of cranium unrest can have today. This juice, once blended in converging arguments, must make for some Grade AAA pre-frontal cerebellum Mohave mojo.
It is what Hawking has tried to express: Theory of Everything, or TOE. It is the first time mankind in its present state has posed a theory that connects the infinitely small with the infinitely large. Unification theory and the connection was the theory Einstein was pondering in his final years.
Two ideas expressed in modern times in converging arguments come to mind:
1. Arthur C. Clarke formulated the following three "laws" of prediction:
- When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is probably wrong.
- The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
- Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. (Arthur C. Clarke. essay "Hazards of Prophecy: The Failure of Imagination", in Profiles of the Future, 1962)
Physics - Infinitely small as well as infinitely large (SOURCE)
I say mankind in its present state: did you notice that one? The HISTORY Channel has a show "Ancient Aliens" where it argues we have been cousins to extra-terrestrial beings for most of our history, starting with ancient civilizations. Evidences in cartouche made by ancient artisans, or scribes, show us hanging out with spacemen visitors, in eras 50,000 years ago. "What if life on earth began in outer space?" asks the show.
We are not alone in this universe. We are not alone in two universes. To believe in a narrow band of human existence has become, shall we say: "old school?" HISTORY Channel has rattled my tree many times. It now has rattled me with this show: Ancient Aliens. Where's the proof?
"When I examine myself and my methods of thought I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge."Technology from an advanced human race can be a real attention getter. And there is no lack of wonder in the human cerebellum. Humans wonder about everything; everything from origin of things, to termination of things, and life, and is the quest of every mother's son, father's daughter, and their dogs. Still with me?
(Einstein, Albert. Cited as conversation between Einstein and János Plesch in János: the story of a doctor. 1947, János Plesch, trans. Edward FitzGerald, Pub. V. Gollancz.)
"Whether you can observe a thing or not depends on the theory which you use. It is the theory which decides what can be observed." (Eisenstein, Albert. Objecting to the placing of observables at the heart of the new quantum mechanics, during Heisenberg's 1926 lecture at Berlin; related by Heisenberg, quoted in Unification of Fundamental Forces. 1990. by Abdus Salam ISBN 0521371406)Converging arguments appear every time humans dicker about things of utmost largeness, and things uttermost small... do you agree? This is why this is all about a more special relativity. We should be most grateful to have these amazing avenues to travel to greater understanding, available right now; open book.
Unfortunately, on the fringes is a lot of head banging and eating of sand. Why the human race acts at this time of all times like goats in the mists, belays our duty, hangs our judgement, and thwarts any efforts for peace.
The infinitely large is directly attached to the infinitely small. There, it is said. Now look for it!
"Our experience hitherto justifies us in trusting that nature is the realization of the simplest that is mathematically conceivable. I am convinced that purely mathematical construction enables us to find those concepts and those lawlike connections between them that provide the key to the understanding of natural phenomena. Useful mathematical concepts may well be suggested by experience, but in no way can they be derived from it. Experience naturally remains the sole criterion of the usefulness of a mathematical construction for physics. But the actual creative principle lies in mathematics. Thus, in a certain sense, I take it to be true that pure thought can grasp the real, as the ancients had dreamed." (Einstein, Albert. from On the Method of Theoretical Physics, p. 183. The Herbert Spencer Lecture, delivered at Oxford. 10 June 1933. Quoted in Einstein's Philosophy of Science)I do not want the peace that passeth understanding. I want the understanding which bringeth peace. ~ Helen Keller

The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is comprehensible.
While this often-quoted version is given in Einstein: A Biography (1954) by Antonina Vallentin, p. 24, as from Einstein's article "Physics and Reality" in Journal of the Franklin Institute (March 1936), in the actual article "Physics and Reality," reprinted in Out of My Later Years (1956), the quote is:
"One may say "the eternal mystery of the world is its comprehensibility." (This rendition reads as if he is quoting or paraphrasing the statement of someone else — perhaps Immanuel Kant, whom he cites in the next sentence.)
Other variants:
"The eternal mystery of the world is its comprehensibility… The fact that it is comprehensible is a miracle."
"One may say the eternal mystery of the world is its comprehensibility."
As quoted in Disturbing the Universe (1979), by Freeman Dyson Ch. 5
"The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is at all comprehensible."

Someone just asked me Why is Gas only $1.47 per gallon?

by Pat Darnell
I replied that I think it has to do with futures and confidence in those futures. BrietBart Articles say that consumer lack confidence in the economy is causing demand for the gas to plummet. We are both correct in our viewpoints...
I think that futures are being tidied up by local companies. This causes futures to be a modest price and investors are gobbling it up. When we moved to Bryan\College Station an old-timer told me that when those "rocker arms" are rocking, gas prices are on the rise. When they are not rocking, prices are slipping downward.
It is a sort of business "reverse strategy" decision making arm of metaphorical misdirection -- like magicians do. So those rocker arms all along the boulevards have been rocking for the past three months,
since just before the Obama-slide. Since December one, the rockers are motionless, about when price at the pump was lower than this time last year.If you want the truth, *[and you are the likes of Tom Cruise who can handle the truth]*, MooPig would like you all to know two things: One -- Saudi Arabia controls about 8% of the USA economy. Two -- the Geo Bush enterprises controls a substantial portion of the oil industry in the USA. Make that three things: Three -- Geo W Bush holds hands with the Saudi Princes when he walks around Arabia.
So, why do you think the pump prices are so low now?
Oil tumbles below $40 for first time since 2004
By CHRIS KAHN | Dec 17 04:31 PM US/Eastern
AP Energy Writer | Brietbart Source
Crude prices have fallen so low, producers have leased supertankers to store the oil at sea, hoping that oil will rebound.
U.S. gasoline inventories continued to rise, the government reported, providing further evidence of a major pullback by American motorists.
Demand for gasoline over the four weeks ended Dec. 12 was 2.7 percent lower than a year earlier.
OPEC had already announced cuts totaling 2 million barrels earlier this
year, also with little effect. The unprecedented production cuts and the market reaction show just how fast energy demand has fallen during the worst economic downturn in at least a generation.Dec 16 04:14 PM US/Eastern | By The Associated Press [SOURCE]
Also Tuesday, the Federal Reserve cut its target for a key interest rate to the lowest level on record and pledged to use "all available tools" to combat a severe financial crisis and prolonged recession.
The central bank reduced the federal funds rate, the interest that banks charge each other, to a range of zero to 0.25 percent. That is down from the 1 percent target rate in effect since the last meeting in October.

Roman Villa -- Reconstructed for you... MooPigFowl Barbecue, Apicius, and Bog Butter

Ancient FAQ -- You are what you eat?
We journey East from Texas, to the boot heel of Italia; make a left and go 5 hours at 120 km/h to Roma; then head to all the ancient evidences that people lived before us.
MooPig has a logo that is a pig inside a cow. It is irritating for many reasons. The commingling of farm animals that are slaughtered for our protein... well mixing pork and beef might make some of us gag. That is the point, though. You have a difficult time getting that image out of your head... no?
Ahhhh... so we made you look.
Good!In our secondary researches we cross many odd things like our selves, as I am sure you too find solace that you are not alone in your downlow existence. MooPig is not alone in its unfathomable state of symbiosis that is probably a smorgasborg for trichinosis.
Here is the reason for our hog hardheadedness; our reason for existence -- well documented in this little resource site: [clik HERE] Roman Villa -- the
Reconstruction. Please note in the eating arrangements it is not unlike the current bedroom community setup we have in USA. Look especially at the banquet demands placed on itself by the rich elite.
Food for Rich RomansFood For Poor Romans or Ancient Germans: BOHEMES !!There weren’t very many rich Romans. Most people were poor. But some rich Romans were REALLY rich and they liked to show it by
having a lot of slave cooks make them very very fancy dinners, and then inviting a lot of their friends over to eat with them. They tried to serve food that was unusual or very expensive or very difficult to make.
In fact, these things were more important to rich Romans than food that tasted good! We know about rich Romans eating whole plates of peacock tongues, for instance.
"One complicated meal involved stuffing a chicken inside a duck, then the duck inside a
goose, then the goose inside a pig, then the pig inside a cow, and cooking the whole thing together." [YIKES!!!]
Sometimes they would send slaves running up into the mountains near Rome to get snow, so they could have slushies even though there were no refrigerators!
Rich Romans liked to use expensive spices that traders brought from thousands of miles away. Cinnamon, pepper, nutmeg and cloves came all the way from India.
We know some of the recipes rich Romans liked from a Roman cookbook written by a man named Apicius in the time of the Roman Empire .... Apicius’ cookbook still survives today, and you can find some of his recipes online...
Food is one of the most important ways that people can show what group they belong to: we eat this kind of food, and our enemies, those people over there, they eat some other weir
d kind of food that we wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. The Germans and the Romans felt just this way about each other's food. Romans drank wine with their meals, and used olive oil to cook with and as soap and shampoo and moisturizer. But Germans drank beer with their meals, and used butter to cook with and to clean themselves with too, even though the Romans said it made them smell funny.
The main reason for this was that the hotter, drier climate in the south made it possible to grow grapevines for wine and olive trees for oil, but in Germany it was easier to grow grain and there was plenty of pasture for cattle as well.
So people drank beer, because you make beer out of barley, and they ate butter, because butter comes from cows' milk. Probably the Germans also ate more milk, cheese, and meat than the Romans did, because they kept cows.
This may explain why Romans like Tacitus describe the Germans as being larger people than Romans: they had more protein in their diets while they were growing up.
French people, who tend to be small, are always telling me that the reason Americans are so oversized is that they
drink too much milk when they are children.Crocks, coolers, dishes
"Our peatlands are a history book. Peat is renowned for preserving the organic and inorganic remains of settlements, including tombs, farms, trackways, implements and bog bodies. Perhaps lesser known is its ability to preserve environmental information in datable deposits of pollen and volcanic ash. This information is of international significance and could possibly assist in predicting future climate changes (Environment and Heritage Service)."
Bog butter is famously ancient butter found buried in centuries-old layers of Irish peat, in wooden containers. Although archaeologists aren't sure of the reasons it was buried, it shows that the people who made it knew it must be packed away from contact with air, and kept cool.
