The Beauty in Knowing

Denial is a gauze; willful denial, an opiate.
Essay by Pat Darnell  |  July 11, 2013  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

Hidden under its hood is a predator; not human or animal but a rapacious, and exploitative, condition. Living with this condition proves to be venturesome, often perilous. Experts tell us that the condition is passed on by hereditary processes. If you see it in your family, chances are that it is with you as well.

Bipolar disorder has a way of staying close to home. It is a mental condition that escapes detection by the uninitiated. Symptoms often resemble exuberance during the manic stages of bipolar episodes, and resemble seasonal blues on the depression side of the disorder. Thus the reason for the "bi" in bipolar, two opposite conditions vie for your attention.

Racing thoughts, tendency to over-indulge, decreased need for sleep, increased drive to perform or achieve goals, and risky behavior, may seem like a list of qualities of highly successful people. Yet these too are basic symptoms of hypomania.

Sadness, hopelessness, suicidal thoughts and behavior, anxiety, guilt and fatigue, with loss of interest in activities once considered enjoyable are symptoms that announce the depressive phase of one being bipolar. Haunting, yes, -- unknowable, no.

At some point in the life of bipolar persons there is a great questioning: "Why aren't I progressing like others?" and "Something must be wrong with me." Situations like finding and keeping a relationship, or, becoming obsessed with another person's life until you smother the person, can lead to this great moment of self-questioning. If the bipolar person seeks help at this point, he might be diagnosed with straight up schizophrenia, or borderline personality disorder, or one of three bipolar conditions, showing the great range of this condition. Most of the time one is asked what drugs she takes, what kind of self-med's are you taking. Such misdiagnoses can lead to more confusion.

One person describes her realization phase this way:
" ... My illness was insidious, gradual and inexorable. I had a preview of depression in high school, ... The hormonal chaos of having three children in five years, the pressure of working on a Ph.D. dissertation and a genetic predisposition for a mood disorder took me to a place of darkness I hadn't experienced before. Of course, I didn't recognize that right away. Denial is a gauze; willful denial, an opiate. Everyone seemed in league with my delusion. I was just overwhelmed, my family would say. I should get more help with the kids, put off my Ph.D. (LINDA LOGAN. Published: April 26, 2013. LINK ) ... "
Your friends and lovers who adore you because you are unique, are going to go along with your mood swings. They will protest when you say you want to kill yourself. Most will recognize and love your balls to the wall attitude about life during manic phases, but the same will fail to recognize the times you are alone, curled up with racing thoughts, and unable to move in your depressed phases.

Bipolar people who harness their energy when they are in a hypomanic phase can be really productive. But, the most dangerous attitude is denial: denying that you actually have a severe reaction to life situations, not recognizing your ups and downs, is very often fatal.

Long term denial can lead to destruction. Family members who have not recognized bipolar conditions in themselves can actually destroy one another. Each family member thinks from his own point of view and holds tight to his belief that he is right, and the others are thinking wrong. With no real give and take communication the family is torn apart.

Bipolar "unrecognized," and untreated, and denied is the worse case condition. Bipolar "recognized" allows the sufferer to begin channeling all that energy, because "Bipolar is Energy." Imagine the things you could accomplish if you channeled all the bipolar energy into finishing all your projects! There is beauty in knowing.

Introduction
Financial types, and they definitely are a subset of humanity, do things through sleight of hand. The reason they sneak around is because they foretell futures of money as it flows through society. They have formulas that tell them when tomorrow will be a winner or a loser. And this propriety, they think, gives them the right to lurk about. Just like a diamond dealer won't tell you where the diamonds are stashed, right?

The rest of us, in context of work-a-day, go about our business mostly ignoring the financial types. They seem to be doing nothing, and that seems foreign to one who works.

I did an experiment ten years ago. I got jobs working as an insurance agent, first with Farmers Insurance, then second with Western Southern Enterprises. I did okay in the application processes until they gave me a psychological evaluation type test. I was border line, as I was told later. But I worked in the financial industry for six years.

You see, there is no right or wrong answer to psychological test of that kind. My answers were "compared" to answers from other applicants, and/or, successful financial types. The comparisons told the company if I fell in the zone of successful financial types, or not.

Having been in Construction Management, and having grown up through the trades, my answers were "not" in the zone, but rather on the edge of that bell curve.

You, see, financial groups, like insurance companies are pyramids, only they are built out of playing cards. It may surprise you to learn that a regional manager at Farmers Insurance makes about $3 million a year; yes, that's right, and it is hardly ever publicized. The guy at the top of the heap gets the biggest check. His money is made off the backs of others.

When a bunch of financial guys get together they try to act like normal people, but their inherent hatred of anything "not financial" makes them play their hand.

I find these financial types intriguing; like being at a Cabaret, I sometimes imagine. A group of men usually who wear facades, and talk percentages, but just below the facade is a regular smelly, old wool, metallic scented pile of protoplasm that will shrivel up if it has to find common ground with a common person. Or, if you stare at their hairpiece too long they will try everything to turn your gaze from it.

"Oh, I jog three miles every morning," he'll say. This is supposed to fit into his gimmick world. Misdirection is the whole story, the only story, and the way of financial types out there.

So, when Jim Hightower reports on the sweeps of the financial district, that means we are right now in a national state of intentional "mis-direction," and maybe it is time to WAKE THE HELL UP!

Jim Hightower | Wall Street gets giddy over the urge to merge: "One Wall Street economist says, giddily, that today's urge to merge is "a sign that corporate America believes that the [economic] expansion is going to accelerate." Yeah, and run right over us.

MooPig's Flood Gauge Fusion :: "the NEPHILIM"

Retrieved by Pat Darnell  |  June 18, 2012  |  Bryan TX

SECTION ONE: THE NEPHILIM COVER-UP HERE

EXCERPT  |  " ... In this chapter I make an effort to anticipate various aspects of a huge and carefully crafted deception program which the Devil has planned for the world, particularly during the final months of human history.

Once again though, the problem is..in trying to communicate many of these things, we're coming up against the net effect of PreTrib Rapturism which creates a strange kind of detachment and withdrawal from realism. PreTrib would respond to the entirety of this chapter's contents with--"Who cares what the Devil has in store for the final days--I'll be up in the 'heavenly places' when all of this is going on."

For example, in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami a few years ago, in which over a quarter million people died...there was a great deal of excited chatter on Christian discussion boards all over the Internet. Some of these folks aren't quite cognizant of the fact that all the various subcultures can now, by means of the Internet, get intimate inside glimpses of each other's internal affairs and discussions...and non-'believers' heard a thousand variations of-- "Oooh, that tsunami must mean the Lord's return is at hand! Praise be! Hallelujah! Oh and...uh...too bad about all the dead people, of course."

I'm asking--what's wrong with this picture? Something has gone waaay wrong with conservative Evangelicalism and its "carried-off-to-heaven-on-flowery-beds-of-ease" doctrines.

I'm sure many would point out there have been Christian organizations that stepped in to help with the Tsunami victims. That's fine...but I'm talking about the weird effect Pretrib has had on the rank and file..a kind of premature withdrawal...which (understandably) comes across as very inappropriate and cynical to non-church-goers. They cannot understand the giddiness and glee with which PreTrib Evangelicals greet these increasingly troubled times.

Even among Evangelicals who claim they are not explicitly PreTrib, I still hear a lot of this:

"Everything I need to know about the Devil and his demons, and about the world around me...I can read about on the pages of the Holy Bible." ( Matt TwoFour. no date. ) ... "

THURSDAY'S Just When it seemed not another cliche could be Uttered ... Part TWO

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him...

The waitress asks them for their orders.

The man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke," and turns to the ostrich, "What's yours?"
"I'll have the same," says the ostrich.

A short time later the waitress returns with the order. "That will be $9.40 please." The man reaches into his pocket and, pulls out the exact change for payment.

The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke."
The ostrich says, "I'll have the same."

Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.

This becomes routine until the two enter again. "The usual?" Asks the waitress.

"No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and a salad," says the man.

"Same," says the ostrich.

Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, "That will be $32.62."

Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and Places it on the table.

The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. "Excuse me, Sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change in your pocket every time?"

"Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and Found an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered Me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money Would always be there."

"That's brilliant!" says the waitress. "Most people would ask for a Million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want For as long as you live!"

"That's right..Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact Money is always there," says the man.

The waitress asks, "What's with the ostrich?"

The man sighs, pauses and answers, "My second wish was for a tall chick with a big butt and long legs who agrees with everything I say.."

My Santa List: Part Two -- Spread the Wealth

Get Grandma a new Guitar!!

Woody B Internal Combustion Guitar - If his Santana-esque guitar stylings have neighbors about one decibel away from a lynching, this guitar might save some sanity. It sends noise out to an amp and then back into the guitar, where a "coupling mechanism" feeds that sound back to the strings, allowing for low-volume (and relatively low-priced) sustain and feedback. Your battered eardrums offered to chip in.
$2,500 - Buy from Woody B

Blackbird 002 - An HP gaming PC may not have been at the top of many wish lists in the past, but that changed when the company went all out with its Blackbird 002 rig, which is now actually available at a few retail stores for those last-minute shoppers out there. You're also in luck if you're ordering online, as HP is offering a special config that it's actually calling the "Ultimate Stocking Stuffer" for just $2,299 until December 31st.
$2,299 and up - Buy from HP

Segway PT i2 Ferrari Limited Edition - Really. It's a Ferrari Segway. How can you go wrong?
Around $10,000 - Buy from Ferrari

Motorola Aura - It's exclusive, expensive, and high-end. It boasts a 16-million (yes, million) color circular lcd, a 62-carat (yes, carat) sapphire crystal lens, and a 2.0 megapixel camera, all in the most attractive package Motorola's ever graced us with. What more could your tech-savvy princess ask for? Just be sure you get her the real thing -- a cheap knockoff really won't do.

3-D Artist: Activist Actions lead to Cage Matches

We just want to know how much it is worth... and who is the best!

WE Interrupt this Ignoble Broadcast to bring you this Archival MooPig Episode of : "Spreading the Wealth -- Part III | Going Beyond Just Free Association"
  1. Editors and Journalists at MooPig Bureau Headquarters have Linked Up and Squared Off!!

Yeah, some confusion led to a grudge match amongst staff and contractors at MPW International. There have been some fatalities. It has spread now by way of Conference calls with grudge matches in all of MPW offices in 42 countries…

Spreading like a California wildfire; “It was triggered last evening when some insiders at MooPig Wisdom took issue with who is the better commentator in the popular ‘Friday Night Cage Match/Fondue Party/Evolving Conversation/Dancing About Architecture Vol. 20′ critical review” said one reporter from Missouri.

It started from inside out with many groups arguing, but has leveled to just two persuasions: partisans on both sides of the aisles and incontinental divides, agreed this morning to make a list of the top 5 with one as the supreme best. But consensus did not stop the balkanizing issue.

It was also unanimously agreed to publish said list only when Octagon mixed martial arts and dirty boxing cage matches between offices at MPW, is over. Negotiations have ceased and matches have been going on since the decision has a rather heat sensitive trigger. Surprisingly to many onlookers the women’s coalition has been winning 4 out of 5 matches.

MooPig will update the blog-o-sphere as developments hit benchmarks. You might be interested also to learn that the Texas office got its ass kicked royally by the London office in early eliminations… “Our boys and girls just plain ran out of gas!” said one source close to Bush.

Any related news should be posted here at Pribek.net… Back to you Timisoara.

  2. Pribek wrote,

keep us updated on this potential powder keg, moo.

I’ll check in later. I’m gonna spend a couple of hours developing my brand, if you catch my drift.

  3. Pat Darnell and Friends wrote,

Powder Keg is right… It has been found out this hour that the first fisticuffs started in the Atlanta Offices at about 10:10 PM, right after “J” alluded to Elvis. Dan, an intern at ATL, turned to his colleague Vern and said, “This says here that Elvis #1 will probably come in first place.”

  4. Then Vern said: "Dan, you know Elvis is dead."

It seems a lot of cash is riding on the office lottos that began circulating around 5:10 PM earlier November 1st, after the Pribek.net Publishers put out the compendium.

We have a garbled transcript from the battle of words turn to medieval blood melee at Atlanta:

‘Hey… remember the show…. in the ….show lost dancing naked chef… in.. “Lost”‘
    ‘That was Survivor… [expletives deleted]‘
‘Well the Vegas had this week’s FNCMFPECDAA probably going to be “Ray LaMontagne versus Pribek” with the heavy money on…..
[expletives deleted]….’Oh yeah..?.. Elvis is …..dead …… not’

Side bar — the background music of the confused mingling in Atlanta is this recording, identified as Matt Monroe Charade

    Back to you KDA…

  5. Jayne d'Arcy wrote,

oooooooh reruns! What fun to relive these past F*@#$%^&& (whatsits)! You just really make Friday fun. Although, Doctor Who is good, too.

    Civil War at MooPig

What is being touted as the Y-FNCMFPECDAAikkipediae Wars, an unprecedented battle is drawing to a close. Factions of the intra-international offices of MooPig Wisdom have tried to separate the Pig from the Bull.

They, in their opulent struggle, have nearly destroyed 42 offices and almost taken over odds-making in Vegas for the popular FNCMFPECDAA. What sums of money, no one is sure… but the body count and property destroyed rose to unbelievable tabs. Cage Matches between factions took the most toll….

Property and Casualty Tabs — MooPig Wisdom Offices Worldwide
    Body Count: 42 Dead
    114 injured and hospitalized
    222 released with wounds
    2 yachts sunk
24 fires started from Sterno at fondue gatherings
Looting at a Trailer Resort in Booger Hollow, Arkansas; and another in Hermann, Missouri.

We are trying to follow the “Green” at this hour. Early findings are staggering; with current money ratios, the figure in USD is $42,000,000 OTB. We promise Their list of winners for the FNCMFPECDAA #20 will be released at 11:59 Sunday evening EST.

Famous strike breakers have been called in for negotiations. Stateside, Herb, General Manager, from the Chicago Brick Yard, and Hans “You’re weird; You Dress Funny; You’re Short; and You Wear Makeup” Hooper abroad, arrived only to be both taken hostage by opposition groups. The Opposition Group is calling out Rupert Murdoch… but that is another issue altogether.

Back to you Ryan Adams and Cher…

    Thanks for that Update, Chuck…

  7. Ryan Adams wrote,

Tonight’s weather will be dark, followed by a period of enlightenment. But tomorrow’s weather is another story. For that story, be sure to catch tonight’s Late Evening News.

  8. Pribek wrote,

Hey Ryan, your money’s no good here.

  9. Pat Darnell and Friends wrote,

“It seems that MooPig staffers went 359 degrees off their moral compass,” said one official.

The trouble has subsided to a point that the list of winners can now be published.

Italian Correspondent Agrassi Noel reports at this hour:

Place | Post | Top Picks

    #5 12 – Kenski

    #4 14 – Sans

    #3 2 – Gary

    #2 4 – J

    #1 8 – Gary, First Place

Reserved Grand Prize: 16 – J and Sans

    Trifecta is: 8 – 4 – 2, with 16 as Power Ball

At 11:57 PM/ EST, these are the winners according to the scurrilous panel of heavy-drinking hooligans at a Pub in London near Hyde Park. Another day in the week of exciting lives of bloggers worldwide is DONE!
