Who is talking about this? I checked my gmail, and up came Motley Fool, an investing group who has my number.

Meaning tens of billions of regular "things"... Sidewalks and cereal boxes...minivans and dress pants...the lawn mower in your shed and the pillows on your bed... Will soon be connected together in an Internet of Everything.

Need a stock tip for your future? Well this one might be a doozey. This bit proclaims every thing will be connected via internet. It claims the internet-connected devices globally will grow from 1.5 b
trillion devices to 50 billion devices by 2020.

Most investors haven't heard about the InterWorld yet -- they're still busy trying to figure out when Apple will release another piece of "iJunk".

Why NOW is the final stage of the Digital Era's "Implementation Gap"

Put simply, the Internet of Everything is the final stage of the Internet's progression.

But you haven't read this far just to hear the simple explanation!

So consider this: in 1969, when the Internet was first invented, it could only be used by a few professors operating some clunky switchboards in Menlo Park, California...

By 1986, a handful of high-powered players in the international community, including research institutes, educational systems -- and, so the rumor goes, the Pentagon -- were able to harness the power of the Internet for some secretive tinkering...

Then came the 1990's.

The convergence of desktop PCs and Internet Service Providers (or, as I like to call them, "those $@!% cable companies") brought the World Wide Web to consumers everywhere.

And for the next two decades, as companies like Apple and Samsung continued to release new gizmos and gadgets, the Internet went from being in two or three switchboards in California to two or three devices in every home in America.

But just like electricity made a snap transition from a "specialized technology" to a regular feature in everything from sneakers to school-supplies...

The Internet -- and all the potential for progress it brings with it -- is about to move from "Internet-Only" objects to EVERYDAY objects...

Meaning tens of billions of regular "things"...

Sidewalks and cereal boxes...minivans and dress pants...the lawn mower in your shed and the pillows on your bed...

Will soon be connected together in an Internet of Everything.

Granted, the "Internet of Everything" is just the term that scientists, CEOs, academics, and other brainiacs are using to talk about this incredible opportunity...

(And boy are they talking about it...in fact, for nearly a century the brightest minds in the world have been eagerly anticipating this enormous new market.)

But frankly, even though this shift will be absolutely massive in terms of its real-world impact, I think there's a relatively simple way to describe what's happening...

The Economist is breathless about how it will do everything from lowering crime to reducing road accidents...

The Wall Street Journal expects it to radically change both business and personal life -- from "the hand-towel dispenser in the washroom" to "your car, your kettle, your toaster... even the mousetraps in your attic."

The European Union is so convinced of this technology's massive impact that it already has a hush-hush multi-national committee (codenamed "Unit D4") working around the clock to introduce laws and governance for it...

And over in China the Beijing bureaucrats are planning to use it to make telephone-booth sized virtual health clinics for billions of rural villagers.

Heck, even the NFL is thinking about getting onboard. Pretty soon, referees might be out of a job...

Because the football will automatically "know" when it's crossed the goal-line!

CONCLUSION
We don''t make this stuff up. And MooPig loves to share Technological Deaths. Apparently Motley Fool's claims are based on population of 7.1 billion today. The purchase of the stock in the company they suggest is expected to increase at 89% a year for the next six years.

Of course, Motley Fool gives you all this information, but leaves out the name of the company that they recommend. It will cost you about $100 to find out what this is all about.

We cannot figure out why investment people write and vlog such long verbose speeches about what they are discovering. Do you know why? I get up to three new "blockbuster stock announcements" per day, but usually read, or listen, to only one every month. One a month seems tolerable.

We cannot offer advice on stock purchases because MooPig Enterprises doesn't know its ass from third base about stocks and stuff.

Every time a manufacturer develops a new device, it spells death to many current devices. Easy to understand, right? Right. But is it going to deliver what it promises, and for how long will it deliver before the next device is developed?

Really, this is the root of MooPig's Tech Coroner Department. Without constant developments in state-of-the-art electronic devices our guys in the basement, without windows, would not have that much to do.

Cutting the Cable: Pay TV Subscribers Turn to Internet - ArkansasBusiness.com: "Between 2008 and 2011, an estimated 2.65 million people, or 2.6 percent of U.S. pay TV subscribers, cut their TV subscriptions to rely solely on online content or watch broadcast television with the use of an antenna, according to an April report from the Convergence Consulting Group Ltd. of Toronto, which studies the trend. Of that number, 1.05 million did it in 2011, and it is projected that by the end of this year the number of cord cutters will reach 3.58 million, the study said."

In three years, 2.6% of US TV end users cut off their Cables. That means in 2098 no one will be connected to Cable TV. I think Cable will become something else before that happens. With Netflix, Hulu, and dozens of other streaming companies, Cable will just be replaced with these. It is already happening... duh?

Technology companies like Apple, and Micro soft have consoles that satisfy all your streaming TV needs. For instance Microsoft makes the XBOX360 console that can be made wireless, and movement synchronous, so you login, and wave your hands, and up pops your programs on Hulu or Netflix, YouTube or Blockbuster...

So middle America can now dance with Rocky and CeCe on Shake it Up! while making dinner. Or you can watch all the YouTube presentations of recent UFO activity on UFOTV, on YouTube.

Much of the middle society will witness the death of television as we know it on Aug 29th, 2045. Why that date? I just made it up, because that day I will be 90 years and two months old. HA!

So in our lifetimes we will not see that much happen that isn't happening today. Tech companies have become more careful about releasing the next big thing quickly as it comes available. That is why there hasn't been an upgrade from XBOX-360 to say the XBOX-terabyte, like one would expect happening by now.

Essentially, corporations would go bankrupt if they introduced new tech just as their older tech stuff was peaking globally. You will have to depend on tech elite to bring you the bigger better consoles as we move into Techno-barbaric Climate Change Age. We have exhausted the term Post-Modernism... so we come up with a new name for today.

That's our Report from the Middle -- where the men are good looking, the women are strong, and the children are above average.

Don't look back. Use to be a time that service industry was not the survivor industry.

It turns out that most Doomsday preparation scores an average of 75 out of a 100 possible points. Prepping is inadequate. If a family prepares for one of these supernatural events, it is a self defeating preparation. How so?

Doomsday prepping is about the material world we now live in, not the spirit world that will over power us. Now is that fair?

Doomsday Preppers, yes there is a demographic of them, spend thousands of dollars on their preparations by collecting material things. Then hoard the things in an expensive bunker-like dwelling, also costing thousands of dollars. Those are all taxable purchases, by the way, using after tax dollars from their paychecks. I don't see any evidence of writing off a Doomsday Prep Bunker.

According to NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- "The cost of preparing for doomsday isn't cheap. First you have to stock up on the appropriate gear, ammunition, food and shelter to survive a nuclear meltdown, asteroid, earthquake, solar flare or some other catastrophe. Then there's acquiring the materials you'll need to rebuild a community after the dust settles."

So, let me get this straight. The Doomsday Prepper is asking for mortgage loans on bunkers they will build to survive the end of the world as we know it? Don't you pay back mortgage loans by increment payments for the next 15 to 20 years?

Stocking up on firearms and training in their use, well that was proven yesterday to have unbelievable results. [LINK The Associated Press. Published: Friday, December 14, 2012 at 13:20 PM.] " ... This gunman is dead so we will never know the extent of his insanity. The two incidents of "Doomsday Prepping" and "mass murder of innocents" have nothing in common. Or do they?

Dark Night RANK on December 30, 2008

Aftermarket Casket Accessories, Cadillac, Eartha Kitt and Heath Ledger

January 2008 an actor died. It is an actor who one-upped, and transshipped a role Jack Nicholson had pegged before -- as Australian Heath Ledger took it over the ledge. But in the end Heath Ledger will have paid the freight in total.

Heathwick Ledger was buried, allegedly, in a Cadillac of a mahogany casket, loaded with appurtenances. Why is this still relevant in December 2008, twelve months later? I don't know either, but if you ask someone who does, Dark Knight recently came out on DVD , and everyone is getting a second look at the numbing performance of Heath Ledger in role of villain, Joker, nemesis of the Batman.

Batman kid stuff has amassed a long history in film, so that it's not kid stuff anymore.. in fact it is almost more famous than Waco and the Branch Davidian. Furthermore, "In fact dozens of actors portrayed villains and henchmen on Batman, four criminals appeared frequently although they were sometimes played by different people." For instance original television bandits list these heavy's:

* Burgess Meredith as the Penguin
* Cesar Romero as the Joker
* Julie Newmar, Eartha Kitt, and Lee Meriwether (in Batman: The Movie) as the Catwoman
* Frank Gorshin and John Astin as the Riddler

How did that one end? Demolition, of course:

At the end of the third season, ABC planned to cut the budget by eliminating Chief O'Hara and Robin. Batgirl would become Batman's full time partner. Both Dozier and West opposed this idea, and ABC canceled the show a short time later. Weeks later, NBC offered to pick the show up for a fourth season and even restore it to its twice a week format, if the sets were still available for use. However, NBC's offer came too late: Fox had already demolished the sets a week before. NBC didn't want to pay the $800,000 to rebuild, so the offer was withdrawn. Batman was replaced on ABC by the sitcom The Second Hundred Years. (wkpda)

She also dies in 2008 -- Eartha Kitt Sexy and sultry Eartha Kitt died on Christmas Day in her Connecticut home at the age of 81... Kitt was among the first set of African American sex symbols in Hollywood that was able to transcend race across America. Along with her, actresses Lena Horne, Diahnn Carroll and Dorothy Dandridge were mavericks."

Her most popular hit song was “C'est Si Bon,” which Kitt was often performing at cabaret shows and on stage whenever she performed... One of the liveliest performers ever on the stage.
Forty years ago, America's cultural icons expressed the frustration of the American people with the failure of President Lyndon Johnson to end this country's undeclared war in Vietnam by boldly demanding peace.

"The nation's most respected newsman, CBS anchorman Walter Cronkite, explained to a national television audience after the Tet Offensive that the war had gone horribly awry.

"Singer Johnny Cash, whose music and style had made him a hero of blue-collar Americans, described himself as "a dove with claws" and began singing the anti-war song "Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream." (Nichols, John; December 29, 2008 Eartha Kitt: The patriot who was right all along)

Kitt moved abroad in the late sixties after a spat with then-First Lady, Lady Byrd Johnson, complaining about the treatment of troops during the Vietnam War.

But the most direct and powerful anti-war statement of the period was delivered by singer Eartha Kitt at the height of her celebrity. [Eartha] was invited to a White House luncheon hosted by Lady Bird Johnson. But the first lady was surprised when she asked Kitt about the Vietnam War. "You send the best of this country off to be shot and maimed," the singer told the first lady and the 50 other women at the luncheon. "They rebel in the street. They don't want to go to school because they're going to be snatched off from their mothers to be shot in Vietnam."

The first lady reportedly burst into tears. The president was furious. Kitt was blacklisted. She was investigated by the FBI and the CIA and ended up on the "enemies list" of Johnson's successor, Richard Nixon. (ibid)

Then where does that RANK all this in the end of 1968? The Dark Knight is considered the best film of year 2008, forty years later, that's what. And MooPig "Movie Critiques Department" has agreed on that little absolutism. It turns out Batman is not a favorite of post-World War II veterans, no matter how one packages it. And it turns out not too many of those WW II guys are still around. That makes this story even more indicative of driftwood story lines: as our WWII veteran numbers wane, Batman popularity waxes. So what was changing, one asks in 1968?

Whereas ABC and Fox were expecting a hip and fun, yet still serious, adventure show, Dozier, who loathed comic books, concluded the only way to make the show work was to do it as a pop art camp comedy. Originally, espionage novelist Eric Ambler [Eric Clifford Ambler OBE (28 June 1909 - 22 October 1998) ]was to write the motion picture that would launch the TV series, but he dropped out after learning of Dozier's camp comedy approach.

The same pattern was repeated in the following episode until the villain was defeated in a major brawl where the action was punctuated by superimposed onomatopoeic words, as in comic book fight scenes "POW!", "BAM!", "ZOKK!"

The series utilized a narrator -- producer William Dozier, uncredited -- who parodied the breathless narration style of the 1940s serials. He would end many of the cliffhanger episodes by intoning, "Tune in tomorrow — same bat-time, same bat-channel!", or, just "... same time, same channel!".

In the 1960's parody had taken hold of almost every TV show. JFK is elected from the ranks of WW II veterans of foreign wars, and catches what would be conveyed on RCA TV's nationwide: Charisma. Our 60's decade was the height of the WW II veterans' return to normalcy.

Charisma with exciting new technology uniquely threatened status-quo, and a new era had been born from war trashed and interrupted lives.

Adam West enjoys the story that he was part of two of the three Big B's of the 1960s: Batman, The Beatles and Bond. West says he was actually invited to play Bond in On Her Majesty's Secret Service based on his popularity as Batman, but declined the role as he felt it should be played by a British actor -- ironically, the role went to an Australian, George Lazenby.

Synopsis First Place RANK 2008? Bat Man 1946 or so -- is portrayed as a depressed heir that will improve crime-fighting technology to a high degree. He has subverted pulp industry to pick up his story. He makes it through to post-war parody, as he then peaks and his story hits the big screen.

The Bat Man is crime fighter tech master, and he remains ahead of reality; precedes any new episode; and out maneuvers all imitators and villains. Several performers bring the tale to broader audiences, including Eartha Kitt. The good Samaritan portrayal of Bat Man has achieved techno materialism to a higher degree than can be found in reality; as his inheritance would have provided if it were true.

It ends worse in reality, as Joker the Saga's own creation of an indigestible villain, evaporates from himself and his self-inflicted rancor, as an unworthy son might; as Heath Ledger has.

This would complete a fifty year cycle of festering hero worship that ends in techno barbarism akin to Mad Max style cinema of the Australian influx -- such as: Plenty of space; no where to run -- if it did not also have a death of a bona-fide rebel also attached to its history.

The best years of the cycle clearly would have been the early and mid term years of parody, and campy TV, with Eartha Kitt, and BatClimb Cameo blindside climber drop ins. I would have put Heath Ledger in a Cadillac casket too, but if I were in charge, I would have kept the mahogany out of the ground... and stow it for after market auctions, if you know what I mean?
