Reminder: Virtual Reality

The Internet is virtual reality.
By Pat Darnell
(vur choo el')

Virtual = ...implicit, essential, fundamental, effective, practical, near... "being something in effect even if not in reality or not conforming to the generally accepted definition of the term... physics used to describe a particle whose existence is suggested to explain observed phenomena but is not proven or directly observable... computing simulated by a computer for reasons of economics, convenience, or performance... computing used to describe a technique of moving data between storage areas or media to create the impression that a computer has a storage capacity greater than it actually has..." (Encarta Dictionary, 2003).

As much as we believe in our own ability to perform a virtual task, is it real? Parable and anecdote can be a task master to the same question, is it real? So, for instance, evidence points to existence of black holes , as well as large volumes of dark matter, in the large scheme of things. It turns out that humans cannot detect those spatial phenoms in real time, with our limited sensors. Yet they virtually exist in modern astrophysics realities.

Are those virtual, theoretical, and positional debates all a part of the whole of reality? Well, it turns out, yes. Yes in terms of empirical data passed down for the entire written history so far from generation to generation.

Is it all pretty? Is it all witty? Is there plenty of room for trial and error? No, no... yes.

So get with it whoever you are, what ever piece of wisdom has been given to you, start paying attention! Work your talent, use the virtual reality tools, get a clear head for your basic tendency. We each have a bit of the eternal in us, it is what makes each of us a personage, a redeemable coupon, accountable, useful, lovable, and least of all part of the greater whole reality.

This is from Enoch's book, as he used all of his eternal spirit to find reality beyond the virtual:
http://reluctant-messenger.com/2enoch01-68.htm
But that bull which was born from him begat a black wild boar and a white 13 sheep; and the former begat many boars, but that sheep begat twelve sheep. And when those twelve sheep had grown, they gave up one of them to the asses, and those asses again gave up that sheep to the wolves, and that sheep grew up among the wolves.

And the Lord brought the eleven sheep to live with it and to pasture with it among the wolves: and they multiplied and became many flocks of sheep. And the wolves began to fear them, and they oppressed them until they destroyed their little ones, and they cast their young into a river of much water: but those sheep began to 16 cry aloud on account of their little ones, and to complain unto their Lord.

And a sheep which had been saved from the wolves fled and escaped to the wild asses; and I saw the sheep how they lamented and cried, and besought their Lord with all their might, till that Lord of the sheep descended at the voice of the sheep from a lofty abode, and came to them and pastured them. And He called that sheep which had escaped the wolves, and spake with it concerning the wolves that it should 18 admonish them not to touch the sheep. And the sheep went to the wolves according to the word of the Lord, and another sheep met it and went with it, and the two went and entered together into the assembly of those wolves, and spake with them and admonished them not to touch the 19 sheep from henceforth.

Building Virtual
"...Scientists are building a seamless, global, astronomical resource: a 'virtual observatory' that will supply data at all wavelengths through a common interface. Vanessa Spedding catches up with European initiatives
The universe is being digitised at an unprecedented rate, a fact that presents opportunities and challenges in seemingly equal measure. Take the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, a project which, in the process of mapping and imaging one quarter of the entire sky and determining positions and absolute brightnesses of more than 100 million celestial objects, will ultimately gather dozens of terabytes of data in different formats and at different wavelengths. This is but one of many prolific sources of astronomical data.
Generally speaking, data from these sources remain unconnected. There is widespread recognition that the full potential of these data, as a result, is seriously underexploited. Not only that, the size of individual data sets has also exploded, particularly those delivered by large facilities (such as the ESO's Very Large Telescope). This presents particular concerns for astronomers without access to the computing capabilities necessary to explore such data sets. It seems that astronomy can now contribute its own particular chapter to the data deluge saga.
DATA DELUGE: a flood of a different kind!

"...There are six partner organisations currently working towards the AVO. These include the European Space Agency (ESA), research centres, consortia and observatories in France and UK, and the European Southern Observatory (ESO) in Germany, which is leading the project. The AVO consortium has quickly formed a close alliance with the US NVO and both teams have representatives on the other's respective committees.
Both are also in communication with other, similar initiatives brewing elsewhere, specifically in India, Australia, and Japan. The ultimate aim, all parties agree, is a truly global virtual observatory..."

One Step Closer

Well, for those of you who don't already know, I have been in school now for just over a month now, studying and trying to get the highest possible score to get my GED. I started off in difficult level, which is pretty reasonable for being out of school for 8 years now, and counting. The easiest way to explain the levels are, first, if you don't know your basics at all, you are definitely in the easy level, then you work up to the medium, difficult, (where I stand), then you have advanced, where people need to be in order to be ready for the actual GED test, or at least for the practice test.

I first stared off in difficult level for all five subjects, as of now I am in advanced for Math, Language, Reading , and Social Studies. The tests I am able to take tomorrow are Math, Language, and Social Studies. I am in High Adult Math levels which averages out to a 12.9+ out of 10. All the others are averaged at a 10 as of right now. So I am pretty confident about doing great tomorrow with the support of my family and everything else that is going for me right now. With the help of the teachers and teacher's aides, these tests, I should pass with flying colors.

When I am done with the final steps of this program , I plan to move on and do something good with my life, the only thing really holding me back from being successful, which is only because it is shown on paper, is my GED. I want to move on and make something of myself and prove to everyone around me that I can do things, which I know that the people close to me, or around me already know I have the capability of doing already without my GED. When I finish up with the whole school thing, I will take my nice vacation that has already been planned, come back home try to figure things out and eventually move closer towards my goals that I want to reach further for in life.

So if you are someone that is close to me, or has been through the whole program, I would really like to hear some feedback on the situation to see how you feel about the whole situation I am going through right now. I would appreciate some positive feedback and some big time motivation for this big test I am looking forward to tomorrow.

Camouflage

There was a once in a lifetime trip to Monroe, La. which was the greatest time ever to spend with their mother of course. There is always one thing to set of the beginning of the worst of the vacation. That is when I realized that camouflage should be banned from being worn in certain parts of the states. When I moved to Texas, all I thought about was the great weather, being down with family, and of course, the women.

The beginning of the trip was great, I took the initiative to make the drive down so mother could relax for once, because I know personally, she is always on the go. We did check in to the so called Hotel, which ended up being a Motel, but hey we enjoyed our stay. I THINK!! As the days went by, we made friends to talk to and had a blast at the civic center. The civic center is where we set up for the big boat and gun show, where I finally discovered that camouflage makes me sick every time I see it now.

I realized the more I help the mother out with the sales and all, I have found out that I have the potential to talk to people and sell. While were down in Monroe I did all the driving around, (I felt like a taxi/limousine service) which felt great. We shared such a love and hate bond that weekend, which was lovely. There's two more things I forgot to mention, the crazy drivers, and the paper mill that blew towards the motel every morning.

The crazy drivers out there truly are crazy. We went to Wal-mart, that was another disaster, inside was huge, I would like to add. Leaving out of the parking I was trying to make a right, this other car came from nowhere and almost took us out. I gunned that big Impala V-six to just get out of there. That’s Chevy power for you.

Drive back was tiring, as I had to read the map backwards. I stopped four times in the median to double-check directions, because as one gets older you know the eyesight goes (HA HA).

It was the worst and best time with my lovely mother. We got home and the first thing we saw was my little brother and sister... dressed, of course, in camouflage.

Grieving is a Project

It is difficult to express the price we pay to experiment with fate. In regard to our own lives many of us expose self to dangers that we would never allow our own siblings or children to experience. All told, when the frosty wintry ice and slush melts away, and the remembrance of all those winters is embedded in the rationale of our minds; the questions perch upon our lips like flakes of snow. Did we come this far despite our selfish ways, and self-destructive notions?

And we answer self, "I'm still here."

Then we may turn to greater-than-we-are amplifications, bigger-than-life generalizations, although it still rings out in the final wash: "Truth is beyond a doubt stranger than fiction."

I am in a state of grieving. At first I did not remember that somewhere I had heard humans naturally succumb to grieving, until I was rocked by my friend's passing away. At first denying it all, I became then angry, today I am more bargaining than yesterday. Letting slip some duties and getting behind, I asked Jesus to handle some of the toil on my agenda, while promising that I will hold down the other parts as best I can. And with no clue how that propels me forward I know; isn't it obvious that my friend's death is only indicator to the real unspeakable dangers, and the answers are as fleeting as respiration, and as distant as Neptune?

I may be as typical a human as any, after all, with all the frailty, and dangers lurking, just outside my bubble of self-regard that "everything is going to be okay." However this day my heart beats in unusual rhythms, hurriedly when I lay to rest, slowly when I try to work.

Imposing as it is, grieving is a project that must be factored, measured and managed just like all risk management. How else to carry on, without doubt, to our engagements and enterprises? Occurrence of grieving is a real risk, implicit and natural as stones and mortar, that all must chance for the privilege of life. PD
