Key to being Fat is to love your Fat !!!

Fat isn't so bad. Its accumulation around the belly, butt, and jowls is a prerogative of a very efficient body metabolism. That's right; ever known a skinny guy (sic) who tries to put on weight but stays in a constant state of boniness?

Learn to love your Fat is MooPig's new Mantra -- Here is Reason Number One

Want A Reason To Love Your Lower Belly Fat? It's Rich In Stem Cells Main Category: Cosmetic Medicine / Plastic Surgery
Also Included In Stem Cell Research; Article Date: 24 Jul 2008 - 2:00 PDT

"The value of stem cells harvested through fat is the ready and ample supply available," said ASPS President Richard D'Amico, MD. "Using stem cells will some day have very practical applications to the specialty of plastic surgery. That we may be able to generate new tissue or bone that can be used in many of the reconstructive and cosmetic procedures we do every day is tremendous." (Read the entire article HERE)

Stem cells are unspecialized cells that have not yet developed a specific function. Not only are they capable of self renewal, stem calls can divide and produce others that become specialized cells. Scientists and doctors theorize that stem cells will be able to repair or replace damaged or diseased cells. Clinical trials researching the potential of stem cells from fat are ongoing in Europe and Asia. In the U.S., there are many investigators doing pre-clinical trial work to meet the stringent safety guidelines the FDA sets for clinical trials.

That's Right !! Love me some of that Flank, and dig down deep into my joints and that is the top Reserve Prime soul-bending Fat tending Cell Stemming !!!!

We may be able to more permanently and naturally get rid of pesky wrinkles or augment breasts with stem cell enriched fat in the future as well. Knowing more about the biology of stem cells will be of great value when we are ready for clinical trials in this country."

In the study, 23 female patients having liposuction in at least four different body areas agreed to have their fat isolated for adult stem cells and analyzed to determine stem cell concentrations. The body areas that were liposuctioned were: lower abdomen, upper abdomen, inner knee, inner thigh, flank and hips.

Q. What are the chemicals being injected?

LipoDissolve® consists of phosphatidycholine and deoxycholate (fosfa-tid-ul-koleen and de-oxy-kolate). Phosphatidycholine (PPC) is a naturally occurring substance within the body that comprises up to 60% of cell membranes, facilitates cell membrane transport, and is a component in bile that is responsible for emulsifying the fat we consume in our diet for absorption. The PPC used in most injectable fat reducing formulas is derived from the soybean lecithin. Deoxycholate, present in the body as sodium deoxycholate, is a bile salt that functions to make the PPC soluble in water. It acts as a detergent and also aids in the breakdown of fat consumed in our diet. Benzyl alcohol is present in the solution as a preservative and antimicrobial.

Q. How does it work?

First the injected solution disrupts the fat cell membrane. This causes the cells to burst, releasing their enzymes and fatty content. Second, an inflammatory response ensues, allowing the debris to be “cleaned up” by the macrophages that have migrated to the area. This inflammation is responsible for the redness and soreness but also allows for tissue retraction. Lastly, new collagen is deposited in the area, causing skin retraction with denser, firmer skin character. The fat and cellular debris that are removed are collected as waste and excreted through the body’s normal metabolic pathways (urine and feces).

Slumber itis

You Thought Cigarettes were Bad?

I suffer from Slumber-interruptus. As night worker, sleep is for the day, and night for the job. Ha!

In the broader scope, never start night work, unless you have a forgiving family situation, or no family. Then it helps to have a forgiving boss too. It will take years to perfect the beast of nature called "Night Shift," and yes it is a vampire.

Once you perfect the techniques that allow you to pursue night work, well the long term changes stack a wall up against you.

Sleep deprivation is rampant. A large proportion of the problem is due to the high paced lifestyle causing the lack of time to get the sleep we need. The other reason people are so sleep deprived is due to sleep disorders. Most people are unaware, as are most physicians. Sleep was not taught during their medical training. (retrieve: http://www.sleepnet.com/depriv.htm )
Some claim I worked nights to avoid nightime feedings and diaper changes. That could be true. Mostly I did it to get the training I needed to be productive in engineering.

Scampering around to make time appear fluid, and not getting on everyone's nerves led to some whacky arbitrations between I and my holy temple, my body. Humans use their relic bodies to push production and I have been no exception.

The only drawback I can perceive is of withdrawal afterwards. Let me explain:

  • 8 hour night shift usually means you will sleep with the dogs; I can last until 12PM the next afternoon, then sleep around 5 hours.
  • 12 hour night shift will result in a much earlier need to sleep. By 10AM the next morning deafness kicks in, dreamland is upon me even if I am not reclining.
  • Alternating 8 and 12 hours night shifts are the most deadly of schedules and result in slumber-interruptus... I care not who one thinks he is, sleep is denied.
Thus, I have weeks when I never get enough sleep, and the doctor said I suffer from sleep deprivation. What a surprise. He also said the adult male needs exactly 8.2 hours of sleep a day.

"Wheeee, doggie Jethro, that do beat all." I guess I am telling you the reader whom might know me, or even care for me a little, that is why I am so goofy sometimes on the phone, or when you are around me. It also has something to do with my new and expanded girth that haunts me.

Talk with doctors about their internships, or pilots, or astronauts... Our human body, the Temple, is a Relic, and should be respected for what it is. Humans can train it and push it, but in the perfection of performance is the event of hitting a wall of rejection. Be ready for it is my message today. In my case it is the problems of going into the next level of existence bedraggled, rather, and performance being controlled by my dysfunctional body:
A very common disorder where there is obstruction of the nose and/or throat by enlarged tonsils, a deviated nasal septum etc. which results in pauses in breathing during sleep. Symptoms include snoring, morning headache and daytime fatigue. Obstructive sleep apnea can lead to heart failure and is a risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. ( ibid)
Don't worry for me, as I have defined the problem, stopped denying it, and am taking measure to correct the situation. Life is precious, and friends are amazing from wherever they happen to ascend. Sleep well, and 8.2 hours a day. pd/mpw

Give me a pill that makes me Perfect!!

MooPig Current Events Department: Resignation is a popular four syllable word in 2008

MooPig Correspondent Jerre Darnell did not have to travel far when asked to reveal her opinion on an editorial about "to E-mail; or not to E-mail, that is the question." Our senior scooper in the field, Jerre, says, "The District Attorney Rosenthal, in Texas, has an as-yet unspecified syndrome that made him stupid and was brought about with something about his therapy. It led him to bad judgment, and he implicitly wrote public announcements to a former niche lover from the 80's, Kerry Stevens."

In the quickened state of imbecile, DA Rosenthal put two and two together and made four big booboo's.

"I will definitely never get email," said our octogenarian correspondent.

1 "Joe Owmby, an assistant Harris County district attorney who is chief of the office’s police integrity division, says Rosenthal notified his staff of his resignation by e-mail hours before the press release was issued..."
Harris County DA Chuck Rosenthal Resigns By JOHN COUNCIL, MARY ALICE ROBBINS and BRENDA SAPINO JEFFREYS Texas Lawyer Friday, February 15, 2008

2 February 19, 2008 Texas District Attorney Resigns
In the wake of an e-mail scandal brought on by prescription drug “impairment,” a Texas district attorney steps down from office.

The Texas Lawyer reported today that Harris County District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal resigned from office Feb. 15. The decision comes amid a controversy that took place in December when e-mails he sent and received were disclosed as part of discovery in a federal civil rights suit, Ibarra, et al. v. Harris County, Texas, et al.

The e-mails on his office computer included several romantic notes Rosenthal had sent to his executive assistant, Kerry Stevens. As a result, Harris County Republican leaders pressured Rosenthal to remove his name from the party's March 4 primary ballot, which he did on Jan. 2.

Several days later, more e-mails from Rosenthal’s computer were disclosed as part of Ibarra, including messages he sent to assistant prosecutors in his office seeking help arranging a barbecue to kick off his re-election campaign. An act that is illegal under Texas law.
In a press release he sent out the day he resigned, Rosenthal said prescription drugs had impaired his judgment.

3 “Although I have enjoyed excellent medical and pharmacological treatment, I have come to learn that the particular combination of drugs prescribed for me in the past has caused some impairment in my judgment,” Rosenthal wrote. “This position is much too important for anyone to be less than their best. I am currently in a different regimen of therapy from different health care professionals and am looking forward to concentrating on the restoration of my health.”

4 Intrigue in the DA's office...
E-MAILS, I don't think I will ever use email again.... comments on the flava of love:
In a three-day period in July of this year, Rosenthal wrote to Stevens' home email saying, "You saw me looking at new toys yesterday. I could buy one or save the money to take you somewhere."
In another brief email, he says, "Bet I could make you sleep."
And on the Fourth of July, he writes to her, "I love you so much."

"I guess the Harris County Republican Party's family values are a bust?
No pun intended."

Heavy or Light Sleeper ?

Are you a heavy sleeper, that is the question? I personally thought I was a heavy sleeper, you can shout and wake me up but I will not stay up. So then one morning I discovered I could possibly be a light sleeper as I grew older.

For instance, this morning I wake up to the slightest sound of the children's screaming voices from a distance yelling the dog's name to bark back. I was up, so therefore, everyone can change their sleeping moods from either light to heavy or heavy to light.
