Tension builds as another aid ship heads for Gaza

The Rachel Corrie set off yesterday from Malta, with activists vowing to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza with another ship. At the same time an Israeli officer has publicly pledged to halt it, setting the stage for a fresh confrontation.

The Rachel Corrie is a converted merchant ship bought by pro-Palestinian activists and named after an American woman killed in the Gaza Strip in 2003. The Free Gaza Movement is also behind this attempt and it swears this will not be the last flotilla.

My question is why are we bound to Israel to the extent that they can do what ever they want to who ever they want with impunity? Its seems to me as if the US is Israel's puppet and they know it?
