Obama, who went on to raise nearly $750 million in the 2008 campaign, "has made it pretty clear he hasn't lost his fundraising magic," said Dave Levinthal of the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks money in politics. "The power of the incumbency is huge."
