MooPig Predictions Department :: "We Think Human Rights will be finally Recognized... Cell Phones"
Why Scott Pelley's story shows some of the most graphic footage in the broadcast's history. Pelley discusses his report on a sarin attack in Syria
Mashed Article by Pat Darnell | March 21, 2015 | Bryan TX
60 Minutes from Aug/2015
STATUS: AUG/2015 "... Pelley believes the cellphone video could be important evidence of a crime against humanity. Working with producers Nicole Young and Katie Kerbstat, his goal was to collect the available evidence of the attack and put it in one story.
"What would've happened during the Holocaust if all the Jews had cellphones?" Pelley wonders. "Certainly the world would've found out much sooner what was happening."
Pelley first reported on the attack for the CBS Evening News in 2013. As images of the victims were arriving in the newsroom, he decided then to embark on a more detailed investigation of what happened for 60 Minutes ..."
"Never forget..." in our near future we will see, and be primary source, to events good and bad in our world. Populace everywhere now has a portable video camera and a way to upload streams of images and sound. abuse of the rights of women and children, animals, elderly and infirm will be broadcast immediately and thereby maybe much of it will be thwarted. Yes?
We at MooPig Predictions Department truly believe a natural selection will occur that puts threat of would-be mass-murderers on report, by publishing their faces, and their crimes, all over the world.
It's not big brother watching, its moms and pops and all their children watching.

MooPig Tech Coroner :: "Internet Out; OUTERNET In"
mashed articles by Pat Darnell | Feb 19, 2014 | Bryan TX
[Picture LINK] "Cubesat ..."
I heart this:
"...By leveraging data-casting technology over a low-cost satellite constellation, Outernet is able to bypass censorship, ensure privacy, and offer a universally-accessible information service at no cost to global citizens. It's the modern version of shortwave radio, or BitTorrent from space. (LINK) ..."" ... WHAT PROBLEM IS OUTERNET SOLVING? There are more computing devices in the world than people, yet only 60% of the global population has access to the wealth of knowledge found on the Internet. The price of smartphones and tablets is dropping year after year, but the price of data in many parts of the world continues to be unaffordable for the majority of global citizens. In some places, such as rural areas and remote regions, cell towers and Internet cables simply don't exist. The primary objective of the Outernet is to bridge the global information divide..."
New York company says it can beam free OUTERNET Wi-fi to every person on Earth | Mail Online: "You might think you have to pay through the nose at the moment to access the Internet. But one ambitious organisation called the Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) is planning to turn the age of online computing on its head by giving free web access to every person on Earth. Known as Outernet, MDIF plans to launch hundreds of satellites into orbit by 2015. And they say the project could provide unrestricted Internet access to countries where their web access is censored, including China and North Korea."

CONCLUSION
" ... Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers. — Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights ..."

MooPig's Radio History Nano-second :: "KPFT, Houston, was Bombed"
Picked up by Pat Darnell | Sep 30, 2012 | Bryan TX
[Picture LINK] " ...In the quiet, early morning hours of a Tuesday, [in 1970], a deejay was spinning Arlo Guthrie‘s Alice’s Restaurant in a radio station studio on the northwestern edge of downtown Houston. On the southwestern edge of the city, under the cover of darkness, a bomber had placed dynamite on the roof of the station’s transmitter.... "
KPFT Targeted: Bullet Pierces Studio Window of Pacifica’s Houston Station: WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2007 :: " ... Station manager Duane Bradley said the shooting might have been political. If so, it would not be the first politically motivated attack on KPFT. More than 35 years ago, the Ku Klux Klan blew up the station’s transmitters twice within the Houston station’s first year on the air. ..." (Democracy Now. Aug 15, 2007. HERE)
In October 1970, five months after the first bombing, KPFT’s transmitter was bombed for a second time just as the station was broadcasting folk legend Arlo Guthrie’s song "Alice’s Restaurant."

I remember this happening in 1970. It barely made the news back then. No one gave a whoot whether commercial free radio existed or not, that is people who sit in governing type offices, didn't care.
But the shadow government of KKK must have cared a lot if Pacifica KPFT Houston broadcasted. Because they put dynamite on the roof of the radio's station's transmitter and blew it up.
I was fifteen. I used to listen to Pacifica late night when they would play full albums of great bands... it was so cool to have FM radio, and cruise in your Momma's Chevy Chevette SS, on a star spangled night with the top down... yes I was a spoiled brat. It was my time of experiential elitism that probably rivaled Mitt Robmoney's upbringing.
And like authoritarians of that decade, many would today remove my freedoms if they could, just to block my 'inalienable rights' to listen to commercial free radio, dammit.

Oh Yeah: "Today, the Immigration Bill died in
the Senate. The vote wasn’t even close. Thirty-seven
Republican lawmakers, including the Senate minority leader, voted to kill it." (HERE and Hat tip to Ridiculopathy for the graphic.)

President and
his Vigilante Pappy-- Comes as no surprise that the Deciders have Decided to attend?
US President George W. Bush will attend the August 8 opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games despite appeals from human rights activists that he boycott the gala,
the White House said Thursday.
Bush, who had always said he would go to the Olympics to encourage US athletes and did not want to use the competition to make a political statement, will first travel to South Korea and Thailand, said spokeswoman Dana Perino.
"The president and Mrs Bush will travel to the Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Thailand, and People's Republic of China in August," she said in a statement that did not say when he would depart Washington or return.
Perino said earlier that Bush was "pleased" that Beijing was holding talks with representatives of the Dalai Lama, Tibet's spiritual leader, but stressed that his attendance at the opening ceremonies did not depend on the outcome.
"That's what the president has said before, which is he believes he's going to China to support, first and foremost, our athletes. He sees this as sporting competition," she said.
"But at the same time, just as he will this week when he sees President Hu, he'll talk to him about these important issues of human rights and especially religious freedom," said Perino.
"And every time he talks to President Hu, he talks to him about the
importance of having a good relationship there with a peaceful man, of the Dalai Lama, but also, for all of China, that it's good to open up and to have better relations and to
improve human rights there," she said.
The ceremonies are due to be held in the 80,000-seat National Stadium in Beijing -- nicknamed the Bird's Nest because of the intricate lattice work on its outer core.

WASHINGTON (AFP)

US President George W. Bush arrives to speak in the Rose Garden at the White House in Washington, DC on July 2. Bush will attend the August 8 opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino announced Thursday.

UPDATE: An estimated 200 Beijing families report their cats stolen a month. Mostly, the missing kitties are sold to wholesale markets for about $3 each. To eat. (HERE)
