NORFOLK | " ... A Somali national believed to be the lead negotiator in a piracy attack on a U.S. yacht will appear in federal court here this afternoon to face indictment.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said a grand jury indicted Mohammad Saaili Shibin on March 8 at the same time 14 others were charged in the same attack, but that Shibin’s case had been under seal until today.
Shibin was responsible for negotiating the ransom for the four Americans aboard the hijacked yacht Quest, the U,.S. Attorney’s Office said.
The Quest’s owners, Scott and Jean Adam of Los Angeles, and their friends Bob Riggle and Phyllis Macay of Seattle, were shot and killed Feb. 22 by pirates as the Navy tried to negotiate thier release, according to the government. ...
