POETRY Geist didn't Make the List Again

MooPig claims to be a writer's writer ... that is -- a fellow who tries to inspire, and, ignite others in their writing tasks. That is why we have the site POETRY Geist for the poetically inclined. MooPig Wisdom is for the prose masters. Ever so humble, it is chiefly the work of one writer at large. He, Pat Darnell, has to refer to himself in third person because of the multiple hats he wears. Yes, he might be several light years behind in his poetic expressions, but not due to procrastination.
It is the "other" worldliness that prescripts the worthiness.
National Public Radio, NPR, filed this list on their show to distinguish poets from last year, 2011. We hope you get some use out of the list, and some inspiration out of POETRY Geist.
Not Your Parents' Poems: A 2012 Poetry Preview : NPR:
EXCERPT | " ... January 13, 2012 ... I can't tell you how the 2012 presidential election is going to turn out, nor can I say for certain whether The Office will outlast its first year without Steve Carell (though things are looking promising so far). What I can do is assure you that 2012 is full of exciting, enduring poetry.'via Blog this'
Like music and fashion, contemporary poetry is often about looking at things from the past and dressing them up for the present. Today's average poem (if there is such a thing) takes us to the frontiers of language, borrowing from Twitter memes to overheard conversation, from the classics to bad movies. These are not your parents' — and certainly not your parents' parents' poems — in fact, some of these poets, in their 30s, 40s and 50s, are practically babies in poetry years, though some are among the wisest we've ever had.(TEICHER, CRAIG MORGAN.
