Police: School bus dispatcher was bank robbery getaway driver | www.wftv.com:
Reynolds-Bell has worked for Orange County public schools for nearly 24 years. Now, the alleged bank robber is suspended with pay, which means she gets $17.20 per hour. Some questions come to mind. How is it that this bus dispatcher is not guilty of helping to rob a bank? If you drop off a bank robber, and then pick them up as they leave the bank with stolen property, isn't that traditionally part of this type drama?
Police said Reynolds-Bell, a longtime school bus dispatcher, was also a getaway driver for her husband.
"I'm not guilty. And that's all I have to say, according to my lawyer," said Reynolds-Bell. (wftv.com.9. ORLANDO, Fla. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 HERE) ... "
For sure, it seems very unlikely that a story like this could actually happen in the 21st century ... haven't the robbers seen any bank robbery movies, TV shows, or more recently, TARP?
Mash me up and pile on, I am speechless. Maybe I need to re-read, and find more detail. Did this couple wake up one day and just decide to go out and "rob a bank?" Or did it happen as the suspect getaway driver says, "she is not guilty." She claims she did not find out about her husband's robbing the bank until much later.
When Van Gogh, the Dutch painter, cut off his ear and gave it to his girlfriend, and then did a self-portrait of his bandaged head ... his act had a certain build up. Over time Van Gogh became mentally disturbed enough to play out the deed of self-mutilation.
Don't the robbers realize their troubles are self-inflicted?
But what build up led this couple to rob a bank, and fail so deservedly at it? There is mention by some neighbors that the couple had been arguing over money. Nonetheless, they have certainly given the grand old profession of bank robbery a real bad name. They are a stain on a much revered literary plot, robbing the bank.
Stick 'em up!
" ... Police say that Sharon Reynolds-Bell, who has worked for the Orange County School District for nearly 24 years, was behind the wheel of the car that aided her husband, Johnny Bell, in robbing a TD Bank branch in Titusville, according to Orlando TV station WFTV. (HERE) ... "
