We don't think so... Japan has a limited amount of real estate on which to build houses. So sprawling Ranch Houses are never going to be built in Japan urban space. At MooPig Arhcitecture Nano-second we notice that the living space of Karasawa's design is extended by the addition of out-door space on the roof. Other examples of this style also extend living space to roofs and to porches covered by cantilevered roofs.
