[Picture LINK] Rockefeller is probably hoarding tons of gold, I bet he has a few rooms like this.
After 3000+ posts, MooPig Wisdom is finally putting the final pieces in to complete the jigsaw puzzle that is our current government, and business environment. Finding reasons for current events is a humbling task. We cannot say it is not without a bunch of zigging and zagging to go from the question "What in the name of God is our government doing?" ... to today's question ... "Oh, so that is why they are doing all this boondoggling?"
We have in essence been rehashing issues that bubbled up during the 60's - 70's. UCLA Berkeley says:
1971 Termination of Gold/Dollar Convertability - Timeline - Slaying the Dragon of Debt - Regional Oral History Office - University of California, Berkeley: "Under the Bretton Woods agreement of 1944 the U.S. dollar was the only national currency directly backed by gold. Other currencies were valued against the dollar, which could be exchanged through the U.S. government's "gold window" for a fixed amount of gold. Over the course of the 1960's, however, this system came under strain. Spending on the Vietnam War and Great Society as well as the revival of Western Europe and Japan led to a decline in the U.S. balance of payments. This, in turn, placed significant pressure on the dollar: U.S. gold holdings could not keep pace with the expanded money supply required by domestic and international economic growth. Fearful that other governments would rush to convert their dollars into gold and thereby precipitate a run on the dollar, on August 15, 1971 Richard Nixon unilaterally suspended dollar-gold convertibility."

CONCLUSION
It is as if Globalization, and International ambiguity hit the USA like a conflagration in the 1960's. Due to the spending on international pet projects like the Vietnam War and the Great Society, Nixon took away the gold standard of our currency. Our gold holdings could not keep up with our spending abroad. What would happen if Vietnamese suddenly turned all their dollars in for gold?
That act set in motion ripples in every phase of government, industry, business, and life withstanding. We are still riding this ripple today, like surfers with lots of fiat cash in our hip pockets.

What Did We Do to have this Foisted Upon Us?
Cut and Paste articles by Pat Darnell | Mar 4, 2014 | Bryan TX
at the top | IdahoLiberty.com: "In the year of 2000 there were seven countries without a Rothschild owned Central Bank:
"... It is not a coincidence that these countries, which are listed above were and are still being under attack by the western media, since one of the main reasons these countries have been under attack in the first place is because they do not have a Rothschild owned Central Bank yet.
"... The first step in having a Central Bank establish in a country is to get them to accept an outrageous loans, which puts the country in debt of the Central Bank and under the control of the Rothschilds.
"... If the country does not accept the loan, the leader of this particular country will be assassinated and a Rothschild aligned leader will be put into the position, and if the assassination does not work, the country will be invaded and have a Central Bank established with force all under the name of terrorism (LINK) ..."

CONCLUSION
This sad commentary is not going to go away. If you think we can depend on each other when the dollar devaluation is reality, we can. But it will be very difficult to trust anyone. If only we could point at something that "we" did to deserve what this heinous banker cabal did to foist upon us a diabolical, 500 year plan to control every nation's money ... but we can't find a point that doesn't intersect with everything else ... it is a complete maze we rats run through while the task master enforces his conviction to not let any prosperity trickle down to you or me.
It sucks; it really sucks.

MooPig Fiat Currency Department :: "Petro Dollar"
absconded articles by Pat Darnell | Mar 3, 2014 | Bryan TX
[Picture LINK] The thing about Bankers, or Financial Holding Companies, is that they have a finger in everyone's business. Everyone has to borrow money to live, to have a home, to start a business... and they own your home/business/life when you can't repay the loan. It is that simple.
You know folks, we aren't going to let this go. Whenever the oil-backed dollar devaluation occurs, all we can say is we scoured the Internet for a counter-story to this murky dismal situation ... but we did not find it.
So, we plunge into the 21st Century, more in the dark than ever in history. Someone might say: "MooPig has the Blues."
New World Old World: Freedom’s Phenomena, Walking Away, False Flags, Idea Trends, and Currency Reset. | Political Vel Craft: "... 204 Nations have agreed with using the IMF (International Monetary Fund) to revalue their currencies to within just 3% of one another based primarily upon the assets of each and every country!
" ... This is why the Federal Reserve has been diluting our assets down to nothing with fiat currency.
" ... Welcome to 3rd-World Earth if they have their way! In reality we’re still here, we need to purge the fraud debt, disgorge the Rothschild Federal Reserve, and remove the complicit corrupt corporate lobbyists, judges, military, politicians, and all their various mutual appreciation societies.
" ...Then the corporations will be brought into serving the public in the land of the free home of the brave. If not, they can go bankrupt with no bailouts and move to Rothschild’s ‘City Of London’ and do business there.

The Bad News -- "... Nixon helped the Rothschild banking cabal swap U.S. Gold [Capitalism] for Debt based economy [Keynesianism]. What was once our gold backing our own currency is now diluted into the hands of the Keynesian BOE – Rothschild’s Bank Of England.
"... A global currency reset is inevitable, especially when you consider that the historic life cycle of a purely fiat currency is only 30 years, with a maximum length of 42 years.
"... This falls in line with the U.S. dollar which has been a purely fiat currency since President Nixon took America off the gold standard in 1971, and subsequently allowed the central bank to grow the economy with debt rather than sound money and real production ( LINK)..."

MooPig Tech Coroner :: "Bank Officers"
Bank Officers are becoming Extinct
mashed articles by Pat Darnell | Feb 19, 2014 | Bryan TX
New technologies of 'Quantitative Easing,' and 'BitCoins,' and 'Non-Causal Derivatives' are leading Bank Officers world wide to hurl them selves off buildings and to commit suicide? For instance at article: "... Richard Talley, the 57 year old founder of American Title Services in Centennial, Colorado, was found dead earlier this month after apparently shooting himself with a nail gun. ..."
Death by nail gun is a terrible death. This pandemic of mysterious deaths by suicide seem to me to be heinous. No other word satisfies my senses, that these self-murdering bank officials were facing something many times more heinous than death by their own hands. Right?
Is there a consensus on this trend? My Google search shows 22 million results ... YIKES!
8th international banker to die in a month jumps off building in China | Intellihub News: "HONG KONG (INTELLIHUB) — All month we have been reporting on the suspicious string of apparent suicides that have hit the financial industry. Multiple bankers have been found dead in recent weeks, all of them have been ruled suicides despite the fact that little information has been released in some of the cases."
"Those who had high profile deaths, like the man who jumped from the top of the JP Morgan HQ building in Europe are highly publicized, but overall, very few details about any of these deaths have been made public. Now this week, another investment banker has jumped from a different JP Morgan HQ, on a different continent, this time in Hong Kong, China."
'via Blog this'
CONCLUSION
I predict a new reality show title: " ... Banker Suicide ..." Will he jump?
Listen I know there is nothing to laugh at here. Suicide is a serious, and heinous way to conclude a life. In my proposed reality show I would have the 'jumper' wearing a bungee cord. We cannot see the truth because it is hidden in the minds of all the financial people out there. It is like a collective hive of humans who prey on humanity, while looking status quo.

MooPig Tech Coroner :: "Credit Cards"
Who Pays for What Value Added?
mashed articles by Pat Darnell | Feb 9, 2014 | Bryan TX
[Picture LINK]
In recent news we are seeing lots of articles about the changing situations in the Credit Card Processing industry ...
VISA and MasterCard don't pay directly for any value the consumer gets from using his Credit Cards. " ... They simply provide the rails that the [steam locomotive] credit card system runs on. Credit card processors like First Data that actually do the work of processing merchants' credit card transactions on the back-end are also in a strong position (ibid. Feb 6, 2014.) ..."
Credit Card Processing is a multi-faceted chain of events with a different player at each chain link. In BI referenced article there is a complete breakdown of all the links and players in the chain of events. BI also says that First Data Corp is in position to continue despite new players entering the arena. [Sorry about all the sports and train analogies.]
In November last year, Wall Street Journal, WSJ, reports that First Data Corp is going through CEO's and carrying billions in debt.
So why all the wise ass discussion about this mega business? It is because the USA runs on this transaction method in earnest. The Credit Card Processor, First Data Corp, was profitable until the buyout and now it is leaking billions in debt. We try to understand this weird nature of mega industry, with its propensity to load up a profitable business with debt, but alas we are not in the Board Rooms behind closed doors where Directors cook up these zany policies.
CONCLUSION
We try to find who pays for the Credit Card inducements, and find a chain of players in the Credit Card Processing industry. And it is a very large industry in the USA alone. We have only scratched the shell of the egg that has a debt-full-yolk in a dubious financial market.
It will be interesting however to see what inducements new players bring to the Credit Card Processing industry to attract users. As is usual, we think in the final analysis, the consumer pays for the value added to Credit Card use.

In recent news we are seeing lots of articles about the changing situations in the Credit Card Processing industry ...
" ... But the credit card processing industry isn't going to change over night. These startups are entering into an extremely complex and entrenched space. (JOHN HEGGESTUEN. FEB. 6, 2014. LINK) ..."In the USA alone, last year, according to Business Insider, BI guesstimate there was $4 trillion in Credit Card Processing's. We try today to answer who pays for the advertised 'value added' inducements from Credit Card Processing companies.

In November last year, Wall Street Journal, WSJ, reports that First Data Corp is going through CEO's and carrying billions in debt.
" ... First Data has run through five CEOs in about as many years. The latest is Frank Bisignano, former co-chief operating officer of J.P. Morgan Chase. Mr. Bisignano has been in charge since, oh, April 28. He'll make $1.5 million a year in salary, millions more in guaranteed incentive payments, and stands to receive at least $9.5 million in severance if he's fired (AL LEWIS. Nov. 30, 2013. LINK) ..."In finance terms of endearment: "... First Data Corp. is drowning in about $23 billion in debt, paying credit-card-type interest as high as 11.75% at a time when the yield on a 10-year Treasury note is 2.7% (ibid. Nov 30, 2013)..." It means they are paying out 9.05% more on their end of Credit Card Processing. How long that lasts depends on the Federal Reserve actions.
"... Then came Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, the storied private-equity firm. It bought First Data for $29 billion in late 2007 and loaded it up with debt. Now First Data posts enormous losses each year (ibid. Nov 30, 2013)..."What values to using Credit Cards is added to your transactions, you might ask? Convenience of not having to carry lots of cash around, management of expenditures for business logging, and sometimes they offer points for future expenditures, are some of the inducements that are advertised. The rationale is that if you pay the total amount of your balance each month on time, and start each month with a balance of zero, there will be no interest added by the Credit Cards.
So why all the wise ass discussion about this mega business? It is because the USA runs on this transaction method in earnest. The Credit Card Processor, First Data Corp, was profitable until the buyout and now it is leaking billions in debt. MooPig Tech Coroner :: "End of Swipe and Sign"
Credit Cards' Liability is Migrated to the User
Mashed and mangled articles by Pat Darnell | Feb 7, 2014 | Bryan TX
[Picture LINK]
We love to point out technology lost as the Internet absorbs systems, and we become more and more dependent on electronic transactions.
October 2015: The End of the Swipe-and-Sign Credit Card - Corporate Intelligence - WSJ: "The recent large-scale theft of credit card data from retailers including Target and Neiman Marcus brought the issue more mainstream attention, leading to a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this week. Executives told the senators that once the country transitions to the new system — which includes credit cards embedded with a microchip containing security data — these kind of hacking attacks will be much more difficult to pull off."
'via Blog this'
Much of the rest of the world switched to chip and PIN cards years ago. Why has it taken the U.S. so much longer?
The article explains that swipe and sign systems do not require instantaneous communication with the credit card company. It can operate "offline." However, swipe and sign is not as secure as the new EMV system, or 'chip and PIN' system. Thus, enter fraudsters into the US who look for "path of least resistance." October 2015 is the date set by major credit cards for the changeover.
Also, there is mention of the Durbin Amendment applying to credit card transactions. " ... Swipe fees are paid to banks by merchants for the privilege of accepting payment cards. Merchants and card-issuing banks have long fought over these fees. Merchants lobbied heavily for a rule to limit debit card swipe fees. They accomplished this when the Durbin Amendment passeed with the Dodd-Frank financial reform legislation. This was considered a major loss for banks, who receive billions of dollars a year in income from swipe fees. (Y ikki peed ya) ... "
They are fighting over pennies, folks. Yes, the almighty Federal Reserve wants to charge back to merchants the cost of credit card fraud.
*
*
*
BUT WAIT ... ! Banks say: "EMV is infallible." So when your card is jacked with its chip and PIN technology, and used to buy cruise tickets and poker hands, you don't get your lost money back from the banks. You are up a creek without a paddle.
What does "EMV" stand for? It is an acronym for "Europay, MasterCard, Visa." EMV has been used in almost all countries but USA for decades now. And it is a failure, in that in other countries cards have been jacked and used even though the banks claim EMV is infallible.
So, maybe it is time to go back to putting your hard-fought, after-tax, cash into your mattresses. Cash basis for all your transactions could mean difference in surviving all the Tech Coroners coming your way.

" ... The rule that the Federal Reserve issued went into effect on 1 October 2012 and allowed non-exempt card issuers to charge a one-cent fraud prevention fee to merchants in addition to another 0.7 percent for fraud prevention already included in the interchange fee. (ibid.)Merchants fought back:
" ... The Merchant Payments Coalition (MPC) argued that this rule was unfair as the Durbin Amendment required the Federal Reserve to ensure that banks take effective steps against fraud and determine how much of the cost banks should bear themselves. The MPC said that banks should actually have to reduce fraud before receiving more funds. The MPC pointed out that the common practice of having customers merely signing for debit card purchases processed through the Visa and MasterCard payment networks instead of requiring a PIN greatly increases fraud. (ibid.) ..."Thus, we will have the 'chip and PIN' credit cards next year.

A New Fed Thought for 'Too Big to Fail' Banks: Shrink Them - NYTimes.com
[Picture LINK]
A New Fed Thought for 'Too Big to Fail' Banks: Shrink Them - NYTimes.com: "Mr. Tarullo said much had been done to make the financial system safer, through the two main overhauls that came after the crisis. Those are the Dodd-Frank Act, passed by Congress in 2010, and the internationally agreed bank regulations known as Basel III.
In particular, these initiatives have made banks hold more capital, a part of a bank’s balance sheet that can serve as a buffer against losses. Before the crash of 2008, banks had insufficient capital, which stoked the fears that swept the global financial system. Taxpayers had to step in and provide new capital as part of efforts to restore confidence.
Still, Mr. Tarullo sees remaining areas of concern. He focused on the markets where Wall Street banks borrow huge sums of money for short periods. They use their borrowings in these so-called wholesale markets to then buy assets. But in times of stress, like 2008, these markets can dry up. Deprived of their lifeblood, banks rush to sell off the assets they bought with their wholesale borrowings, which can set off a wider collapse."
'via Blog this'
Don't you just love how money loving fools dick around with terminology? Wholesale, periods, assets, insufficient capital, comptrollers, global financial systems ... on and on. This week, beginning of May, at MooPig Financial Trends Department we are featuring a round of New York Times articles dealing with "Post Collapse" banking duct taping.
Yawn.
We get it, you can't even spell "punitive interest..." but for certain we must try to sort this out. Other wise we are seeing the collapse of the American Empire as we know it. We "must" get past these frustrated academicians who think money is science.
Can anyone say for certain just how bad it really is? Commentators must admit that they say confusing things on purpose, just to keep the status of banking worldwide the way it is... meant for only persons at the top.

Out there is a strange world. Cyber wars are wreaking havoc on certain investments. MooPig Finance and Witchcraft Department has been posting blurbs about the BITCOIN phenom HERE and HERE.
Do you trust paper money and Ben Bernanke's ability to manage it? If you don't, and all your friends don't, then your price for paper money goes up, or like the experts say, it gets more scarce.
We are not Bitcoin experts, and certainly not investment wizards here at MooPig enterprises. But these guys advertise that they are:
Bye Bye Bitcoin | Uncommon Wisdom Daily: "When was the last time you saw an equity, ETF or currency drop more than 75% in one day, only to have trading halted to allow the market to “cool down” … If I asked you that question yesterday, your answer should have been “never.” That all changed, however, when the infamous electronic currency Bitcoin made history. In the aftermath of the Cyprus bailout debacle, interest in this alternative currency skyrocketed, sending the price parabolic and pushing Bitcoin to an all-time high of $266 just yesterday."

Bitcoin: Can a virtual currency do away with banks? PART TWO
FOFOA: Bitcoin Open Forum: "To summarize, this guy had 25,000 Bitcoins stolen from him around noon on Monday. At that time, Bitcoins were trading for around $20 each, so he lost almost $500,000 worth of Bitcoins! I'm just learning some of the technicalities of Bitcoins now, so please correct me in the comments if I get anything wrong. I imagine this will make for a lively discussion! It seems Bitcoins have been quite a trade recently, running from less than half a penny up to $30, back down to $10, and up again to $20. Here's the chart:"

Let's begin where we left off: it begs repeating --
" ... The 2012 Mayan Prophecy has been readily distorted and misunderstood. The End of the Mayan Calendar on December 21, 2012 has nothing to do with the “End of the World”.Ten percent of the world's population believe that “The Mayan calendar, which some say ‘ends’ in 2012, marks the end of the world”. That is about 700 million persons. Now shall we add some metaphorical stuff?
In fact, the Mayan calendar does not end on December 21st, 2012. Rather December 21 marks the beginning of a new “Long Cycle” in the Mayan calendar system. (See Washington’s Blog, End of the World: Hear the 2012 Prophecy … Direct from the Mouths of the Mayan Priests, Global Research, December 13, 2012)
The End of the World concept is a falsehood and misinterpretation of Mayan thought. What is at stake is a renewal, the unfolding of a new era. For the Mayans, December 21, 2012 marks the beginning of a new long cycle (Ibid).
Meanwhile, “End of the World” stories and commentary are plastered on the news tabloids. While the Western media readily refutes the Mayan prophesy, the apocalypse narrative, when repeated ad nausea serves as a distraction and distortion. ( Prof Michel Chossudovsky. Global Research, December 19, 2012. HERE) ... "
ROCK ~ Media Disinformation
PAPER ~ Economic Medicine
SCISSORS ~ Criminalization of the Banking System
Yes, folks, it is all a game.

- and, as it always has, rock crushes scissors
" ... [T]he FOMC decided to extend its asset purchases in 2013 as Operation Twist expires. The Fed will therefore accelerate its rate of balance sheet expansion, easing monetary conditions further. While Operation Twist had been sterilized, which means the Fed sold assets at the same rate as it was gobbling them up, the new program will consist purely of Treasury purchases. Combined with QE3, the Fed will be taking $85 billion in bonds, both Treasuries and MBS, out of the market. The FOMC also decided to begin rolling over its maturing Treasuries as of January. (Agustino Fontevecchia, Forbes Staff. 12/12/2012. HERE)... "
After all, it turns out, the 700 million believers are right. It is the end of the world as we have known it.

MooPig 12 Days of Doom Prep :: DAY Ten "Fascism"
Sadly, historical amnesia is the norm in the world today.
Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Dec 19, 2012 | Bryan TX
[Picture LINK]
Fascism seems to grow in popularity when one faction of a society is losing its grip on power and money. How much power and how much money is required for unrequited fascists to make their move is unknown.
In these expressions below is a constant reminder of 'Ruling Elite.' As far as MooPig Doomsday Department Analysts can figure, that ruling elite today refers to the Banking Cartel. You see, Timmy, when you try to do something, you must ask for money to do it. Yes, everyone asks the bank to give it some money, everywhere. And, being that the Federal Reserve Bank is privately owned since Woodrow Wilson Days, the BANK is into everyone's business. Their hands are in your mortgages and in your company dealings, in your child's education and in your welfare. This is not rocket science; this is money changers.
" ... In the spring of 2003, ex-corporate executive and political scientist Lawrence W. Britt published an essay in Free Inquiry magazine entitled “Fascism Anyone?” (MARCH 24, 2012. BY: GREGORY PATIN. HERE) ... He [Britt] identified 14 characteristics that were common to all of them. These traits have since been widely accepted as the 14 defining characteristics of fascism. ... "
1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism. From the prominent displays of flags and bunting to the ubiquitous lapel pins, the fervor to show patriotic nationalism, both on the part of the regime itself and of citizens caught up in its frenzy, was always obvious. Catchy slogans, pride in the military, and demands for unity were common themes in expressing this nationalism. It was usually coupled with a suspicion of things foreign that often bordered on xenophobia.
2. Disdain for the importance of human rights. The regimes themselves viewed human rights as of little value and a hindrance to realizing the objectives of the ruling elite. Through clever use of propaganda, the population was brought to accept these human rights abuses by marginalizing, even demonizing, those being targeted. When abuse was egregious, the tactic was to use secrecy, denial, and disinformation.
3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause. The most significant common thread among these regimes was the use of scapegoating as a means to divert the people’s attention from other problems, to shift blame for failures, and to channel frustration in controlled directions. The methods of choice—relentless propaganda and disinformation—were usually effective. Often the regimes would incite ‘spontaneous’ acts against the target scapegoats, usually communists, socialists, liberals, Jews, ethnic and racial minorities, traditional national enemies, members of other religions, secularists, homosexuals, and ‘terrorists.’ Active opponents of these regimes were inevitably labeled as terrorists and dealt with accordingly.
4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism. Ruling elites always identified closely with the military and the industrial infrastructure that supported it. A disproportionate share of national resources was allocated to the military, even when domestic needs were acute. The military was seen as an expression of nationalism, and was used whenever possible to assert national goals, intimidate other nations, and increase the power and prestige of the ruling elite.
5. Rampant sexism. Beyond the simple fact that the political elite and the national culture were male-dominated, these regimes inevitably viewed women as second-class citizens. They were adamantly anti-abortion and also homophobic. These attitudes were usually codified in Draconian laws that enjoyed strong support by the orthodox religion of the country, thus lending the regime cover for its abuses.
6. A controlled mass media. Under some of the regimes, the mass media were under strict direct control and could be relied upon never to stray from the party line. Other regimes exercised more subtle power to ensure media orthodoxy. Methods included the control of licensing and access to resources, economic pressure, appeals to patriotism, and implied threats. The leaders of the mass media were often politically compatible with the power elite. The result was usually success in keeping the general public unaware of the regimes’ excesses.
7. Obsession with national security. Inevitably, a national security apparatus was under direct control of the ruling elite. It was usually an instrument of oppression, operating in secret and beyond any constraints. Its actions were justified under the rubric of protecting ‘national security,’ and questioning its activities was portrayed as unpatriotic or even treasonous.
8. Religion and ruling elite tied together. Unlike communist regimes, the fascist and proto-fascist regimes were never proclaimed as godless by their opponents. In fact, most of the regimes attached themselves to the predominant religion of the country and chose to portray themselves as militant defenders of that religion. The fact that the ruling elite’s behavior was incompatible with the precepts of the religion was generally swept under the rug. Propaganda kept up the illusion that the ruling elites were defenders of the faith and opponents of the ‘godless.’ A perception was manufactured that opposing the power elite was tantamount to an attack on religion.
9. Power of corporations protected. Although the personal life of ordinary citizens was under strict control, the ability of large corporations to operate in relative freedom was not compromised. The ruling elite saw the corporate structure as a way to not only ensure military production (in developed states), but also as an additional means of social control. Members of the economic elite were often pampered by the political elite to ensure a continued mutuality of interests, especially in the repression of ‘have-not’ citizens.
10. Power of labor suppressed or eliminated. Since organized labor was seen as the one power center that could challenge the political hegemony of the ruling elite and its corporate allies, it was inevitably crushed or made powerless. The poor formed an underclass, viewed with suspicion or outright contempt. Under some regimes, being poor was considered akin to a vice.
11. Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts. Intellectuals and the inherent freedom of ideas and expression associated with them were anathema to these regimes. Intellectual and academic freedom were considered subversive to national security and the patriotic ideal. Universities were tightly controlled; politically unreliable faculty harassed or eliminated. Unorthodox ideas or expressions of dissent were strongly attacked, silenced, or crushed. To these regimes, art and literature should serve the national interest or they had no right to exist.
12. Obsession with crime and punishment. Most of these regimes maintained Draconian systems of criminal justice with huge prison populations. The police were often glorified and had almost unchecked power, leading to rampant abuse. “Normal” and political crime were often merged into trumped-up criminal charges and sometimes used against political opponents of the regime. Fear, and hatred, of criminals or “traitors” was often promoted among the population as an excuse for more police power.
13. Rampant cronyism and corruption. Those in business circles and close to the power elite often used their position to enrich themselves. This corruption worked both ways; the power elite would receive financial gifts and property from the economic elite, who in turn would gain the benefit of government favoritism. Members of the power elite were in a position to obtain vast wealth from other sources as well: for example, by stealing national resources. With the national security apparatus under control and the media muzzled, this corruption was largely unconstrained and not well understood by the general population.
14. Fraudulent elections. Elections in the form of plebiscites or public opinion polls were usually bogus. When actual elections with candidates were held, they would usually be perverted by the power elite to get the desired result. Common methods included maintaining control of the election machinery, intimidating and disenfranchising opposition voters, destroying or disallowing legal votes, and, as a last resort, turning to a judiciary beholden to the power elite.
Now, isn't this awkward? I see our blessed country in the throes of Fascsim; do you?

Police: School bus dispatcher was bank robbery getaway driver | www.wftv.com:
For sure, it seems very unlikely that a story like this could actually happen in the 21st century ... haven't the robbers seen any bank robbery movies, TV shows, or more recently, TARP?
Mash me up and pile on, I am speechless. Maybe I need to re-read, and find more detail. Did this couple wake up one day and just decide to go out and "rob a bank?" Or did it happen as the suspect getaway driver says, "she is not guilty." She claims she did not find out about her husband's robbing the bank until much later.
When Van Gogh, the Dutch painter, cut off his ear and gave it to his girlfriend, and then did a self-portrait of his bandaged head ... his act had a certain build up. Over time Van Gogh became mentally disturbed enough to play out the deed of self-mutilation.
Don't the robbers realize their troubles are self-inflicted?
But what build up led this couple to rob a bank, and fail so deservedly at it? There is mention by some neighbors that the couple had been arguing over money. Nonetheless, they have certainly given the grand old profession of bank robbery a real bad name. They are a stain on a much revered literary plot, robbing the bank.
Stick 'em up!

Police: School bus dispatcher was bank robbery getaway driver | www.wftv.com:
Reynolds-Bell has worked for Orange County public schools for nearly 24 years. Now, the alleged bank robber is suspended with pay, which means she gets $17.20 per hour. Some questions come to mind. How is it that this bus dispatcher is not guilty of helping to rob a bank? If you drop off a bank robber, and then pick them up as they leave the bank with stolen property, isn't that traditionally part of this type drama?
Police said Reynolds-Bell, a longtime school bus dispatcher, was also a getaway driver for her husband.
"I'm not guilty. And that's all I have to say, according to my lawyer," said Reynolds-Bell. (wftv.com.9. ORLANDO, Fla. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012 HERE) ... "

US Banks settle for $26B; consumer advocates wary
Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Feb 11, 2012 | Bryan TX
Moopig's Conclusion
2. Cancel every foreclosure that was imposed from the era discussed, that seems the most righteous thing to do. Go back and declare moratoriums on all those trumped foreclosures. That would put a cost of $800 billion on the deal, more in line with the crimes committed.
3. State Governments will prosper from this lawsuit as millions pour into their coffers. And that is money for the local politicians. Confusion on who will receive the paltry $2k per damaged mortgagee, that is proposed, will make a few local yokels richer.

The $26 billion represents a significant settlement, but it clearly won't stagger the banks too much. Together, the four banks mentioned above took in a total profit of $47.6 billion in 2011. It's not as if the banks will be paying the settlements out of pure profits, either; they've all set aside a fair amount of capital to pay for their mistakes. Still it's telling that the banks will be paying just about half of their annual profits to walk away from the foreclosure mess. (2/9/2012 . Daniel Pereira. HERE)

Three questions come to mind:- What is the Legal thing to do?
- What is the Right thing to do?
- Who gains from the decision?
" ... Kentucky attorney Jack Conway gestures as he announces Kentucky's inclusion in the Joint State-Federal Mortgage Servicing Settlement Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at his office in Frankfort, Ky. Conway said $58.8 million of the nation-wide $25 billion would come to Kentucky. / (AP /John Flavell) ... " Kentucky’s share in the settlement amounts to $58.8 million, while Indiana’s is $145 million. ...""... The deal with 49 of the 50 states requires five of the largest banks to reduce loans for about 1 million households at risk of foreclosure. The lenders also will send checks of $2,000 to about 750,000 Americans who were improperly foreclosed upon. The banks will have three years to fulfill the terms of the deal. ( Feb. 9, 2012. HERE) ... "
" ... He [Conway, DA, KY] called it “a first step in holding banks accountable for the mortgage foreclosure crisis” and stressed that the settlement doesn’t limit states’ rights to pursue further civil or criminal actions against banks. It also does not limit homeowners’ ability to bring legal action against banks, he said. ... "The attorneys general set up a website — www.nationalforeclosuresettlement.com — and encouraged homeowners to wait to hear from their banks over the next nine months or to call the banks and ask about their eligibility. It will take about three years for the settlement agreement to be fulfilled.
Moopig's Conclusion
" ... The $26 billion settlement helps. But it's a long way from healing the grievous wounds left by the crisis and the fraud. ... "1. The banks committed fraud when they let their paperwork overwhelm them. In recent past, Banks started signing off on foreclosures that were illegal. How to make that legal? Every foreclosure must be reviewed. This is a nightmare for the property owners and mortgage companies and the litigation is mind boggling. [We would be better off if some of these lenders bellied up anyway.]

Do you like playing games online? Well, you probably play for coins and that is the value you obtain, right? So, why not Bitcoin stashes for real.
BBC News - Bitcoin: Can a virtual currency do away with banks?: "Bitcoin is an electronic currency that can be traded directly on the internet, members don't even need to have a bank account."
Moldbug does a good job explaining this principle HERE:

UPDATE: Look Out Baby, 'Cause Here I Come....... RECESSION
Ides of March -- Idus Martiae...
Recession !!!!
Any language you say it, it means doom. "Ides" is the 15th of the month, as in the day Caesar was assasinated in 44 BC, the term has come to be used as a metaphor for impending doom. This story has the drama and the look of a curse upon it. Bear Stearns, see also: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bear+stearned Urban Dictionary.
"March 15 - a weekend - JP Morgan and the Federal Reserve Bank Board stepped in to rescue an 85 year old Bear Stearns Wall Street Investment bank. A company that was valued at $20,077 million last year, was bought for a mere $2,362 million on that beleagured weekend just past, JP Morgan was the buyer at $2 per share, 98% less than what it is worth."
"The Federal Reserve has agreed to put $30 billion in the deal." (Mark, Roy & Perelman. eweek, March 24, 2008; paraphrased pp 33-4.)
"Well tweedle dee, tweedle dum, look out baby 'cause here I come. (Rare Earth. Get Ready) Here is Dusty Springfield, because when I feel the doom I play this tune:
Buy Low Sell High: the article goes on to say: "On March 5, 2008 the Federal Reserve put out a report that found economic growth to be sluggish in 2/3 of the 12 districts it surveys... rising food, energy, and materiels costs utting pressure on growth ans slowing hiring..."(eweek; March 24, 2008, pp34).
"It is certainly a buying opportunity for strategic investors," [said Ward Carter, president of mergers and acquisitions advisory company Corum Group], "After all, you want to buy at the bottom, not the top."
Well Duh! Man, we were a bunch of Freaks in 1973! The year I graduated HighSchool:
--AND--
On this Day March 15, 1973:
by Charlie Crane, Thorofare, NJ
Pink Floyd, Spectrum, March 15, 1973
Pink Floyd had been touring for over a year doing the Dark Side of the Moon line-up of songs — although they hadn’t released the album yet. Everywhere they played, it seemed a bootleg of the concert was released. The album would be released on March, 24th 1973 — but at that time it was still somewhat of an unknown for many. The program called the concert “Eclipse - a Piece for Assorted Lunatics,” as it had been called for about a year of live shows. But it was song-for-song and word-for-word Dark Side of the Moon.
PF came out without much fanfare and proceeded to perform the entire album uninterrupted by breaks for applause. It was awesome. They just played it straight through. Back then they hadn’t developed the elaborate special effects such as remote-control planes, flying brass beds, mirror balls, laser-beams, larger-than-life projections and red eyed floating pigs. The effects were limited to carbon dioxide “smoke” illuminated by mostly pink and green floodlights. There was a large gong that they used for their encore numbers, but it broke loose from its mountings when struck and the roadies had to do a quick repair. It was worth the wait, as they played “Set the Controls for the Center of the Sun” and set fire to the kerosene-soaked rim of the gong. The flickering flames dwindling down as the long epoch song slowly ended seemed to weave a magic spell and draw everyone into the gong — as if it had become the sun.
Before the show, almost everyone made paper airplanes out of their program and sailed them around the Spectrum waiting for the concert to begin. I kept mine as a souvenir and still have it — a testament to this piece of music history. http://xponentialmusic.org/blogs/885mmmm/2007/09/06/pink-floyd-spectrum-march-15-1973-dark-side-of-the-moon/
Recession !!!!Any language you say it, it means doom.
