Blunders Cast Doubt on Japan’s Cleanup of Nuclear Accident Site

We are seeing the demise of yet another technologic wonderment from the 20th century. Nuclear power plants seemed like the answer to all humankind's energy problems back when nuclear fusion was all the craze. All we asked for was clean super hot steam to turn our turbines in generating electricity power for our existence.
It turns out, the payback for mistakes and design flaws is life altering fallout of radioactive material in our air, water, and land. Cleaning up the mess of a meltdown is near impossible. Japan is not saying much about " ... Tepco who has resorted to technological quick fixes that have failed to control the crisis, further damaging Japan’s flagging credibility and only deflecting hard decisions into the future. Some critics said the government’s new proposals offer just more of the same. ( MARTIN FACKLER. Published: September 3, 2013. LINK) ..."

" ... Most commentary on the Fukushima plant focuses on the multiple leaks of water laced with high- and low-level radiation. An estimated 300 tons of highly toxic water, including Strontium-90, has leaked from a hastily constructed tank. This became a level-3 crisis on Aug. 21, “serious” on the United Nation’s 7-point International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale, and represents the most urgent reported problem at the plant since the initial meltdowns. ( ANDREW DEWIT AND CHRISOPHER HOBSON. Aug 29, 2013. LINK)..."
Government must take over Fukushima nuclear cleanup | The Japan Times: "Even under ordinary circumstances spent-fuel removal is a difficult task, normally requiring the aid of computers. But due to the damage, removal of spent fuel from Reactor No. 4 and the five other reactors will have to be done manually. This work will be undertaken in arduous conditions, increasing the risk of yet another mishap.
And if something does go wrong, the consequences could be far more severe than any nuclear accident the world has ever seen. If a fuel rod is dropped, breaks or becomes entangled while being removed, possible worst case scenarios include a big explosion, a meltdown in the pool, or a large fire. Any of these situations could lead to massive releases of deadly radionuclides into the atmosphere, putting much of Japan — including Tokyo and Yokohama — and even neighboring countries at serious risk."

[Picture LINK] "The problem with a fuel pool criticality is that you can't stop it. There are no control rods to control it,” Gundsersen said [Arnie Gunderson, a veteran US nuclear engineer and director of Fairewinds Energy Education]. “The spent fuel pool cooling system is designed only to remove decay heat, not heat from an ongoing nuclear reaction."

MooPig 12 Days of Doom Prep :: DAY ZERO "It's HERE ..."
I would Resign, but Then there would be no one to Blame!
by Pat Darnell | Dec 21, 2012 | Bryan TX
MooPig Enterprise will be held over for another year. We, I, will continue the quest of the witless and half-baked. We, I, will lambaste the bombast. The younger generation keeps distancing itself from us, me. But, that will not dissuade us, me. We, I, will carry on in our pilfering, pirating, ways. We have resigned ourselves to this end.

It's 4 AM and the "thing" is all but over. What ever that "thing" was, it attracted a tenth of the world's attention. I wonder how many people resigned last year because of the fruitlessness of it all, thinking it was ending anyway?
" ... I RESIGN: In June, Peter Doyle resigned from the European Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, DC. "After twenty years of service," he wrote, "I am ashamed to have had any association with the Fund at all."
(June 12, 2012. Peter Doyle. http://cnnibusiness.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/doyle.pdf ) ... "

" ... In July, an employee of a Chinese auto parts maker submitted a resignation letter that went viral. His reason for quitting:
"The factory is small and the women are few. It's too difficult to land a girlfriend here."
In the space on the form for the boss to sign off, his supervisor wrote:
"Don't blame others when you don't have game. It's your own fault you can't get a girl."
Chinese journalists debated the resignation letter's authenticity. (Adam Taylor | Jul. 18, 2012. HERE)... "
-- AND, SADLY --
" ... In November, a New York Jets fan known as "Fireman Ed" resigned, returning to his full-time role as a New York City firefighter. In a letter to the public at large, he explained:
"The fact that I chose to wear a Mark Sanchez jersey this year and that fans think I am on the payroll -- which is an outright lie -- have made these confrontations [with other Jets fans] more frequent. Whether it's in the stands, the bathroom or the parking lot, these confrontations are happening on a consistent basis. Although I can 'hold my own,' I do not want to lose my temper and make a stupid mistake. I have a responsibility to the families and kids that enjoy the game and Fireman Ed."
In closing:
"I will always love the Jets because they are in my heart, and I will attend games as usual, just not as Fireman Ed." (Fireman Ed. November 25, 2012. HERE)... "

Writers, Sharpen your Pencils
Feats don't fail me now!!One of the most important apocryphal works of the Second Temple Period is Enoch. According to the biblical narrative (Genesis 5:21-24), Enoch lived only 365 years (far less than the other patriarchs in the period before the Flood). Enoch "walked with God; then he was no more for God took him."
The original language of most of this work was, in all likelihood, Aramaic (an early Semitic language). Although the original version was lost in antiquity, portions of a Greek translation were discovered in Egypt and quotations were known from the Church Fathers. The discovery of the texts from Qumran Cave 4 has finally provided parts of the Aramaic original. In the fragment exhibited here, humankind is called on to observe how unchanging nature follows God's will.
The Book of Enoch is a pseudo-epigraphal work (a work that claims to be by a biblical
character). The Book of Enoch was not included in either the Hebrew or most Christian biblical canons, but could have been considered a sacred text by the sectarians. The original Aramaic version was lost until the Dead Sea fragments were discovered.

Antithesis:
Writers? Look HERE: Answering Christianity: Can the opposites be true? Invariably a writer looks to some pseudo-authority to cauterize his writing. I would avoid allowing Science to justify one's writing... why? Because it is lame. Speak rather from the heart of your own third person... no?
I really do not think all of this is just a sales job.
