MooPig Cosmology and Time Department :: Introducing "Civitas Humana..."

Time to get Serious?
Mixed Mashed Articles by Pat Darnell  |  Nov 9, 2014  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

Why do teachers, such as ministers, teach Metaphysics to people who can't even understand Physics? A teacher might say to a child, "Every time a bell rings an Angel gets her wings." Angels, bells, ... eh?

Time is quantifiable only if one cannot see the future nor recapture the past. We as humans see time as a axis in the dimensions of physics, stretching out linear. In nature there are living things that might be able to see past/present/future simultaneously. Not a far-fetched idea, but very basic to being human. Toying with timelines causes confusion.

What would be some of those life forms on earth that might see time differently? It is reported that lobsters never grow old, they live on and on. At least Al Sears, MD, said this:
"...They [lobsters] only die if they get eaten or injured from a predator, or get a rare disease, but never from old age. They don’t have a built-in life expectancy in their cells (Sears, Al. 01/2014. LINK)..."
And the Smithsonian claims:
"...So what would be a natural death for lobsters?
According to Carl Wilson, lead lobster biologist with the Maine Department of Marine Resources, between 10 and 15 percent of lobsters die naturally each year as they shed their exoskeletons because the exertion proves to be too much. Each molting process requires more and more energy than the one before it as lobsters grow in size (Marina Koren. JUNE 3, 2013. LINK)..."
Can't you just feel the welling up of a good molting, dear reader? In nature, live things change in shape and in form during their lifetimes. Our journey through time involves each of us changing from one form to another in almost supernatural ways. Can you explain to me the hollow ball of cells called a blastula in human reproduction. Eh?

I didn't think so.

Ah, heck discuss among yourself these too:  Fetus Morula Embryo Zygote Blastocyst Neonate... and put them in correct order according to time.

The part left out of the Books of Enoch, and other books of wisdom, includes explaining the life force of reproduction that is so dominate in all life forms... and probably explains a lot of the confusion about our cosmos too.

We tend to talk about what is observable. That makes sense. But we cannot, as previously noted, observe our past/present/future all at the same time. Here one blogger examines ...

Cosmology and Time in Metaphysical Naturalism | Civitas Humana: "For the next part of my series about the ‘metaphysics’ in metaphysical naturalism I will be analyzing how modern scientific theories about cosmology fit in to the naturalist worldview. Since I am not a professional scientist, I will be quoting authorities for all critical information. The purpose of this article is more philosophical than scientific, in that it does not seek to advance a particular scientific theory, but rather to demonstrate how modern cosmological theories align with the definition of metaphysical naturalism discussed earlier in this series (ADVERSUSAPOLOGETICA.
MAY 21, 2014. LINK)... "
'via Blog this'
"...The study of cosmology has a long history (see here), but since around the end of the 20th century scientists have reached a generally cohesive view of what our universe looks like. The observable universe that we live in is a sphere with a radius of about 46 billion lightyears. Beyond that the unobservable universe is much larger, and is still inflating rapidly. Within this observable part of the universe alone there are at least 100 billion galaxies (and possibly 500 billion galaxies in the whole universe), and, if modern observational estimates among astronomers are correct about there being 17 billion Earth-sized planets in our galaxy, then the rest of the universe no doubt contains many, many more (ibid. ADVERSUSAPOLOGETICA)..."

SUMMARY
Naturalism is a closed system, that can be observed in methodology, or not observable because of metaphysical [supernatural] causes. Scientific observation does not deal with "metaphysical" occurrence.

Stages of life are observable, but why they are observable depends on a time frame. Pat/Present/Future defines us and lobsters, and every living thing in the universe.

To experience supernatural stimuli, we humans must change from our current mental state of living in the ever-present linear time frame, to another form that can see past/present/future simultaneously. This could explain the reason for death.

MooPig's Site Review :: "This Modern World, by Tom Tomorrow"

This is a Very Cool Blog
Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Jan 23, 2012 | Bryan TX

MooPig loves the ridicule of despots, the implosion of bombasts... so apparently does Tom Tomorrow.

This Modern World:
January 22, 2012
Tom Tomorrow:  Scenes from the class war
EXCERPT  |  " ... I would have assumed that the rich get certain amenities in hospitals — larger, private rooms, more attentive doctors, etc. But this would never have occurred to me:
The bed linens were by Frette, Italian purveyors of high-thread-count sheets to popes and princes. The bathroom gleamed with polished marble. Huge windows displayed panoramic East River views. And in the hush of her $2,400 suite, a man in a black vest and tie proffered an elaborate menu and told her, “I’ll be your butler.”(NINA BERNSTEIN. Published: January 21, 2012. HERE)
The punchline, buried deep in the article, comes after an anecdote about the Saudi King taking up an entire floor at another hospital:
The hospital said in a statement: “NewYork-Presbyterian is dedicated to providing a single standard of high quality care to all of our patients.”
But never mind the absurd disparity between first class hospital accommodations and what the rest of us are likely to experience back in steerage. Here’s the bit that’s likely to go viral in the wingnut zombie-lie media:
But even the rainmakers — doctors who bring in such patients — can sometimes resent the tilt toward luxury.

“The one misgiving is patients with Medicare, which pays physicians almost nothing,” said Dr. Brian Katz, 59, a laparoscopic surgeon in scrubs who took a break in the same library later. “Yet those patients will come up here and pay to enjoy five-star comfort.”
The doctor is complaining that rich patients on Medicare can pay for the accommodations while he himself makes no profit. But watch for that to be distorted by Sean Hannity et al. into a story about welfare patients receiving luxury treatment on your tax dollars.
And speaking of the gilded age, here’s a fascinating little article about our plutocrat overlords, and how they behave when they think no one is watching. ... "

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "TIME's Person of the Year 2011"

The World is Terribly Out of Balance, and has been for a while, Actually
by Pat Darnell | November 13, 2011 | Bryan TX

When TIME magazine was a legitimate magazine, in the last century, it had credibility. Its Person of the Year magazine cover articles were timely. *[Hehe -- chuckles]*

With ascent of digital data streams, TIME has run amok in many ways. It no longer depends on snail mail, and readers' responses for determining its main concentration for the past years. It uses online surveys, even though they are subjective, and it uses feelers, like web crawlers, to suss out a good candidate for Person of the Year.

If you have a faceBook account [a free entity open to everyone in the world] you can sign in to TIME and vote. You can also double check TIME's content, but that is another story.

When Ronald Reagan said, "Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall," he was voted in as the potus P of the Y, eh? (TIME. Jan 5, 1981. HERE . Man of the Year 1981), and, (TIME. Dec 19, 2004. HERE. Person of the Year) Those were easy pickings. You get the idea, though. It is a yearly designation that balances the present conditions with a constituency of readers... right?

So, if you want that distinction, you can try a cryptic quote, like Reagan quoth, or look around for something and someone to believe in. MooPig voted YES to 99%-er.

The 99% - Who Should Be TIME's Person of the Year 2011? - TIME: "From tsunamis to budget battles to revolutions, 2011 has been a tumultuous, news-packed year. Who influenced the news most, for better or for ill? Tradition dictates that TIME's editors choose the Person of the Year, but we want to know: if you were in charge, who would it be? And remember, a person's inclusion as a 'candidate' in the poll doesn't mean he, she or they are serious candidates to be named Person of the Year by the magazine."

Dearborn and Still Reigning Miss USA, for the next twenty-four Hours.... that is

From Online TV Guide: she's an Arabian... Yup!

EXCERPT  " ... Congratulations to Miss Michigan, Rima Fakih who was crowned Miss USA on Sunday night!
Rima is a Dearborn resident and the first Arab American to wear the crown.
Much like Miss Michigan Kristen Haglund who won Miss America in 2008, Rima is a Mojo In The Morning listener who has joined us in studio and at events.

[Source] " ... Well, that didn't take long. One day after being named Miss USA 2010, Rima Fakih may already have a scandal brewing because of old photos showing her in a radio show's "Stripper 101" contest.

VIDEO: Miss USA 2010 Top 10

Following Fakih's win at Sunday's 59th Annual Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas on Sunday, the Mojo In the Morning radio show posted risqué photos of the Dearborn, Mich., resident participating in the radio show's 1997 contest. The photos show Fakih pole dancing and with dollar bills in her bra. ... "

" ... Mojo, the host of the show, says the photos have been on the site for three years and no further pictures will be released. He added that he hopes that the incident will not result in the 24-year-old having to relinquish her crown. "It would be foolish to consider anyone other than Rima to represent the USA. The photos taken from our website are no more provocative than those on the Miss USA website," the radio host said. [Source] ... "

Manjiare !!! Chefs are Fleeing their Kitchens

MooPig's New "TV Chef" Department: Who'sa your Go-Daddy? -- first and last article on this subject.

Actress and model Padma Lakshmi, for one, has gone from guest-starring on "Star Trek: Enterprise" to hosting the popular reality show "Top Chef," where she muses about plating alongside

of People magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" for 2007.

The [other] NRA, National Restaurant Association projects that restaurant sales will reach $558 billion in 2008, a 47% increase over 2000, and the Food Network, the culinary world's premier stage, has seen its subscribers more than double in that time.

{----Rachael Ray (l)
As the financial stakes get ever higher, chefs are fleeing their kitchens in search of a bigger piece of the pie. Rachael Ray, the Babe Ruth of celebrity chefs, has ridden her culinary fame to a daytime talk show and her own magazine.

"There's absolutely no reason to buy my cookbook."
You say you love Bobby Flay's food and want to try to make it at home? Before you spend $35 on his Mesa Grill Cookbook, check out FoodNetwork.com 's recipe database, where among the 36,000-plus recipes you can browse, a quick search will net you 1,914 of the master chef's recipes -- or 1,764 more than Mesa Grill contains -- and it won't cost you a penny.

My God, man, how many recipes do you need !!!!!
Indeed, free recipe-sharing sites like Recipezaar.com, which offers 271,000 recipes, and Allrecipes.com, which holds more than 40,000, also threaten to make your favorite chef's cookbook virtually obsolete. But so far the vast storehouse of free recipes available on the web hasn't dented cookbook sales; in fact those authored by celebrity chefs have driven overall cookbook sales to $540 million in 2007, a 4% increase from 2006.

Rachael Ray (l) will be the first to say she's never run a kitchen -- "It's not necessary that there are professional chefs on the Food Network," says Anthony Bourdain, "Kitchen Confidential" author and a celebrity chef in his own right. "But what they really need are good cooks, and they have precious few of those." A Food Network spokesperson says the idea is "to represent many different perspectives on food."
