MooPig Followup Department :: "Cliven Bundy and Stuff"
Old News
Facebook Posts Reveal Vegas Shooter Thought Bundy Ranch Was 'Start Of Revolution': "The couple who allegedly shot and killed two Las Vegas police officers and then killed another person Sunday [June 7th, 2015] before killing themselves have been identified as Jerad and Amanda Miller, according to multiple news reports. While neighbors had already pegged the couple as supporters of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who has been facing off with the federal government in recent months, a review of what appears to be Jerad Miller's Facebook page reveals someone who has long harbored extreme anti-government views and saw the Bundy Ranch standoff as a possible start to a revolution."

MooPig Almost a Story Department :: "Cliven Bundy"
Whatever Happened with that Cliven Bundy Stuff?
Mixed martial articles by Pat Darnell | June 8, 2014 | Bryan TX
[Picture LINK]

Just recently, as recent as April 5th, 2014, there was a splash in the media of what had the makings of a catastrophic, Waco-like, clash of gun-toting Joe-Q-Public with the USA Military. Eh?
Which side were you on?
We stood by the gate like bovine usually do in these cases, and watched to see if the hay truck arrived. No hay today.
While the "media" *[television, newspapers, online pundits, overseas pundits, and us]* tried to make it a contest with a promise of a sweepstakes in the end, well it petered out. The middle-men "media" lost control of their interests. So will other stories in the future peter out because the Internet is eliminating the middle-men; is this a good thing?
Well, we are standing by the gate still looking at it from out here in our field. Is that government grass really greener?
Government BLM, Bureau of Land Management, moved in to remove Bundy's livestock because: "... Finally, in 2013, a Nevada district court judge permanently banned Bundy's cattle from grazing there, and authorized the government to confiscate the cattle. That court decision is what led to last week's standoff (LINK)..."
"... Finally, on Saturday, April 12, the BLM caved, calling off the operation out of "grave concern about the safety of employees and members of the public," according to a statement. (LINK)..."
As an agency, the BLM is tasked with considering multiple different interests, many of which conflict with each other. "They are supposed to pay attention to commodity production, grazing, recreation, ecological functioning, endangered species habitats, and also revenue," McCarthy [professor of geography at Clark University] says.
Armed Feds Prepare For Showdown With Nevada Cattle Rancher |: "A Ruby Ridge-style standoff is brewing in Nevada, where dozens of armed federal agents are closing in on cattle rancher Cliven Bundy over claims that Bundy has allowed his cows to graze illegally on government land, endangering a protected species of tortoise."

As has become the way of News, we have plenty of opinion, enough to divide readers into opposing sides like a sporting event. How the motley crew of civilians is compared to the Black Panthers we will never know.
Here's a comment from Patrick [not me] on Eagan's Op page:
CONCLUSION
For the love of God, WTF?
Someday, someone will quantify how much this kind of rabid yellow journalism has cost in pain, discord, suffering, and dollars. Until that day MooPig Enterprises will continue to post its own form of secondary middle-man pig-cloistered-in-the-cow research free of charge.

"...On Saturday, April 5, the Bureau of Land Management began confiscating the cattle Cliven Bundy had grazing on federal land. The BLM did so under authority given by a Nevada federal district court judge, and it planned to auction off the cattle later on. To carry out the operation, the BLM brought in armed federal agents and private contractors, and closed down much of the federal land in the area, restricting entry:
The BLM closed down land so it could round up Bundy's cattle ... Over a hundred cattle were confiscated that first weekend, and Bundy's son Dave was arrested for refusing to leave the temporarily closed federal lands. So Sunday night, Bundy posted a message on the Bundy Ranch website: 'They have my cattle and now they have one of my boys. Range War begins tomorrow' (LINK)..."

"... This phony event has brought out the worst of the gun-waving far right, and the national politicians who are barely one degree of separation from them. Hundreds of heavily armed, camouflaged supporters of the scofflaw turned out Saturday in Nevada, training their rifles on public employees who were trying to do their job. The outsiders looked like snipers ready to shoot the police. If you changed that picture to Black Panthers surrounding a lawful eviction in the inner city, do you think right-wing media would be there cheering the outlaws? (Egan, Timothy. April 18, 2014. LINK) ...""...I don’t suppose Egan realizes that Ronald Reagan reacted to armed Black Panthers [legally] entering the State House by enacting California’s most draconian [up to that point] gun control law. If that open carry event was intentionally inflammatory – and it was – Egan’s writing is worse. Never mind the fact that the BLM had snipers trained on the demonstrators. Egan’s claim that the demonstrators “looked like snipers ready to shoot the police” is libel wrapped in a metaphor (Robert Farago. April 18, 2014. LINK)..."
As has become the way of News, we have plenty of opinion, enough to divide readers into opposing sides like a sporting event. How the motley crew of civilians is compared to the Black Panthers we will never know.
Here's a comment from Patrick [not me] on Eagan's Op page:
"...Patrick San Francisco, CA 18 April 2014Then television did their "in depth" investigation and interviewed Cliven Bundy. See the stuff Bundy spewed HERE. "...[Then] On Thursday, conservatives lined up to condemn Cliven Bundy. Senator Rand Paul called his remarks "offensive." Senator Dean Heller's office called them "appalling." Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, who'd emerged as one of Bundy's most committed defenders, said, "I strongly disagree with Cliven Bundy's comments about slavery." [LINK]..."
I have no sympathy for this squatter. Those 'concerned citizens' are just what Senator Reid called them, "domestic terrorists." They have no right to impose their very questionable beliefs on the rest of our society. The right wing media should be held accountable for their actions. Free speech doesn't include inciting or encouraging violence. (LINK)..."

MooPig Time / Space Department :: "CIA: The mysterious Area 51 exists!"
Area 51 is no longer an Island

Most people don't tell stories about the guys who sign their paychecks. Area 51 is shrouded in secrecy and has not been tapped by some of the craftiest journalists over the last 75 years. Even President Clinton tried to get access to Area 51 documents, only to be told his security clearance is not high enough.
That is why MooPig Time / Space Department might try to ask Russians what really went on at Area 51. It seems to work that way: if you want to know the "real story" in America, you have to go to foreign news outfits.
Thus, why now is it disclosed, that:
" ... CIA: The mysterious Area 51 exists!: "George Washington University's National Security Archive obtained a CIA history of the U-2 spy plane program through a public records request and released it Thursday. National Security Archive senior fellow Jeffrey Richelson reviewed the history in 2002, but all mentions of Area 51 had been redacted."

"...[Countries] that give higher priorities to its military ambitions and defense initiatives ... America, Russia, China, India, UK, France, Germany, Japan, Israel, South Africa and Brazil ... have active research efforts ..."

I'm sick of hearing about Area 51.

I think you might get better results checking into Area 52 -- that's what MooPig calls the Bush's Texas ranch out here near Crawford, TX. All those Area 51 secrets are dying out as the workers who populated Area 51 are elderly, and many not around anymore.
Noce, then 72, told the newspaper that he had attended the first-ever public reunion in 2009 of former Area 51 workers.
"I was doing something for the country," Noce says about those three years in the 1960s. "They told me, 'If anything should ever come up, anyone asks, 'Did you work for the CIA?' MooPig Graphics and Rewildings Department needs a contingency plan for knock-offs. Yes, it happened again, we design it and mega corporations assume it is theirs to copy. We are just too little, we guess. Everyone picks on us.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "MooPig's Favorite Tags"
Graphics that Attract -- REDDIT
by Pat Darnell | Dec 28, 2012 | Bryan TX
[Picture LINK]
MooPig has reached another mile post, it has published its 3000th rewilding article. That is -- the day of reckoning will emerge one day in the future. On that day all the 'un-cited' or erroneously 'LINK-ed' articles will be purged from the pages of MooPig.
Then MooPig will be reduced to a few articles that don't pirate, or misquote the contributors of news items and other catchy stuff. Maybe it will help those who are constantly confused as to whether the thing they just read, or saw, is fact or fiction. Eh?
Here's the question of the year: "Just what group best epitomizes those who are confused about what they just read, or saw, on the Internet?"
I give you intro to REDDIT ... and the generation of "the front page of the Internet." You can set up your own login, and then search REDDIT for what ever on earth you are searching for. It is the fully indexed summation of 12,000 years history of mankind.
First off we search for MooPig... and HERE you are... MooPig is a USER and it isn't me. So do we call foul? Do we hit that USER with cease and desist? You bet we don't!
Just let it go. Best laid plans are mostly eat up with a dumbass. And on the Internet, it is best to be skeptical.
For instance, where do we go to find out if this statement is false or fiction?
That's the report from the Middle, where men are good looking, women are strong, and the children are above average.

Working with Profs. Eytan Ruppin and Lior Wolf of TAU's Blavatnik School of Computer Science, Stempler has developed predictor models that use metabolic information to pinpoint the progression of Alzheimer's. These models were 90 percent accurate in predicting the stage of the disease."

Next the researchers will try to identify biomarkers in the blood that are associated with these metabolic changes. That may lead to detection and information about the disease's progression with an easy and non-invasive blood test.

MooPig's Piracy Department :: "Pictures Pirated that pay Off"
by Pat Darnell | Jan 27, 2012 | Bryan TX
MooPig "Idiocy Department" recently told the "Piracy Department" that these few pictures, shown below, attract the most viewers. That's right -- a little girl riding an alligator, a Colombian Street Party, I don't know what two clothed people in a modified Lazy Boy, Junior with Senior, Fonzie on ski's -- these pirated photos bring in 88% of the views here at MooPig. What the other 8000 photo's [not all pirated] do we don't know.
MooPig Statistics are provided by Google Blogger Dudes. MooPig has about 800 views per day, and about 26,500 views per month average. For a blog that is sand bagged, has fake third parties, and possibly guilty of piracy on several layers... it remains one of life's mysteries how we get that many views per day!
So all in one place we give you MooPig's Hall of Fame Pictures ::

Tom Tomorrow: Scenes from the class war
EXCERPT | " ... I would have assumed that the rich get certain amenities in hospitals — larger, private rooms, more attentive doctors, etc. But this would never have occurred to me:
The bed linens were by Frette, Italian purveyors of high-thread-count sheets to popes and princes. The bathroom gleamed with polished marble. Huge windows displayed panoramic East River views. And in the hush of her $2,400 suite, a man in a black vest and tie proffered an elaborate menu and told her, “I’ll be your butler.”(NINA BERNSTEIN. Published: January 21, 2012. HERE)The punchline, buried deep in the article, comes after an anecdote about the Saudi King taking up an entire floor at another hospital:
The hospital said in a statement: “NewYork-Presbyterian is dedicated to providing a single standard of high quality care to all of our patients.”But never mind the absurd disparity between first class hospital accommodations and what the rest of us are likely to experience back in steerage. Here’s the bit that’s likely to go viral in the wingnut zombie-lie media:
But even the rainmakers — doctors who bring in such patients — can sometimes resent the tilt toward luxury. The doctor is complaining that rich patients on Medicare can pay for the accommodations while he himself makes no profit. But watch for that to be distorted by Sean Hannity et al. into a story about welfare patients receiving luxury treatment on your tax dollars.
“The one misgiving is patients with Medicare, which pays physicians almost nothing,” said Dr. Brian Katz, 59, a laparoscopic surgeon in scrubs who took a break in the same library later. “Yet those patients will come up here and pay to enjoy five-star comfort.”
And speaking of the gilded age, here’s a fascinating little article about our plutocrat overlords, and how they behave when they think no one is watching. ... "

A Space Idiocy
2001 -- 2011
by Pat Darnell
But, what happened to that kind of science fiction. 2001: A Space Odyssey was the "only" Sci Fi Flick that I know of, that tried to show "weightlessness." How about it. There followed epic series of science fiction sagas like -- Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, LEX, Doctor WHO, and StarGate stuff, and not one deals with humans' floating in micro gravities of space... not one.
It bothers me so much I always look at the floors of the stage set in the episodes... kind of a throwback to the Yellow Brick Road from OZ. Here is 'me' watching Sci Fi: 'Is that really brick; or just tile?'
Weightlessness is too complicated for filming the mundane soap-operatic doings of these "driven" explorers of "out there?" We did get a glimplse of the "raison d' arte" of the Monoliths that were introduced in 2001: ASO as shown in 2010: " ... 2010 (also known as 2010: The Year We Make Contact) is a 1984 American science fiction film written and directed by Peter Hyams. It is a sequel to the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey, and is based on Arthur C. Clarke's novel 2010: Odyssey Two, a literary sequel to the film. ... "
And look at this about the Jupiter Mission Movie, 2001: ASO -- " ... It was nominated for four Academy Awards, and received one for visual effects. In 1991, it was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry. (YIPY, ibid) ... "
Those Monoliths are probably in a storage facility, or in someone's back yard serving their years as planters. That's my guess.

" ... 2001: A Space Odyssey is a 1968 epic science fiction film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick, and co-written by Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke. The film deals with thematic elements of human evolution, technology, artificial intelligence, and extraterrestrial life. It is notable for its scientific realism, pioneering special effects, ambiguous imagery that is open-ended to a point approaching surrealism, sound in place of traditional narrative techniques, and minimal use of dialogue.
