MooPig Tech Coroner :: "Licensing Content Makers"

The Free Run is Over; too much Freedom?
Mashed articles by Pat Darnell  |  Feb 11, 2014  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK] Google Tips Boynton Beach Police To 2 Child Porn Images Attached To Draft Email | Story by Scott T. Smith

Is this claim by PC Magazine true? " ... And let's face it, right now the whole Internet scene is a mess. How could regulation be bad (JOHN C. DVORAK. JANUARY 29, 2014. LINK) ...?"

We at MooPig Think Tank disagree; we like the chaos of the Internet.  FCC wants to be a player, and protect its radio and TV turfs. We think that is what they do best, but licencing Internet Content? C'mon! Really? All of it?

The Next Phase of the Internet: Licensing Content Makers | John C. Dvorak | PCMag.com: "This moment in time represents a true golden age of the Internet but such ages are always thwarted in one way of another. For close to 10 years I've been saying that at some point in the future, the Wild West of the Internet will be clamped down and you'll need a license to broadcast content over the Internet. I do not see any trend that does not point in this direction. For a perfect example, look at the debate over net neutrality and filtering or throttling streaming content from the likes of Netflix and Amazon over various mechanisms such as your PC or Roku."
'via Blog this'

Here's a licencing nightmare for you:
" ... Google Images is a search service owned by Google and introduced in July 2001, that allows users to search the Web for image content.[1] The keywords for the image search are based on the filename of the image, the link text pointing to the image, and text adjacent to the image. When searching for an image, a thumbnail of each matching image is displayed. When the user clicks on a thumbnail, the image is displayed in a box over the website that it came from. The user can then close the box and browse the website, or view the full-sized image (wiki. LINK)..."
Wiki goes on to describe Google Images: " ...In 2001, 250 million images were indexed. In 2005, this grew to 1 billion. By 2010, the index reached 10 billion images. As of July 2010, the service receives over one billion views a day. Google introduced a sort by subject feature for a visual category scheme overview of a search query in May 2011 (wiki. LINK).... "

Think about it; a billion visits per day on Google Images alone, on 10 billion images with all their content. MooPig knows it gets all its domestic and foreign visitors from Google Images. So if FCC gets its way and licences all the content of the Internet, we will cease to exist. Big boy corp's and hogs will then take over the Internet.

CONCLUSION
" ... Signal/RF interference problem does not exist with the Internet, where millions of blogs, podcasts, and video networks can and do co-exist. Thus, some other rationale will eventually be determined to limit access in the same way access was limited to the real radio pioneers (ibid. DVORAK.) ..."
" ... There is already talk about clamping down on various forms of hate speech online. Who determines what constitutes hate speech?
Under the guise of anti-bullying all sorts of real attacks on free speech are now common. "Think of the children" will become the rallying cry as very smart people manage to lock down the net for once and for all using every trick imaginable.
I personally do not think there is anything we can do about the eventual draconian regulation of the Internet by government authorities. It won't be tomorrow (I hope not anyway), but it is coming. Enjoy what we have while it lasts.
I'll be waiting to fill out some forms. I think I can get a license.(ibid. Dvorak) ..."

MooPig Free Range Grazing Rights Department :: "NSA Files On-line"

Blowing the Lid Off
Site Review by Pat Darnell  |  Nov 16, 2013  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

NSA files decoded: Edward Snowden's surveillance revelations explained | World news | theguardian.com: "You don't need to be talking to a terror suspect to have your communications data analysed by the NSA. The agency is allowed to travel "three hops" from its targets — who could be people who talk to people who talk to people who talk to you. Facebook, where the typical user has 190 friends, shows how three degrees of separation gets you to a network bigger than the population of Colorado. How many people are three "hops" from you?"

'via Blog this'

" ... The debate has raged across time zones: from the US and Latin America to Europe and to Asia. Barack Obama cancelled a trip to Moscow in protest at Russian president Vladimir Putin's protection of Snowden. Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff cancelled a state visit to Washington in protest at the US spying on her. Bolivian president Evo Morales's plane was forced down in Vienna amid suspicion that Snowden was being smuggled out of Russia.

In Germany, a "livid" Angela Merkel accused the US of spying on her, igniting a furore that has seen the White House concede that new constraints on the NSA's activities may be necessary. Meanwhile, in Britain, prime minister David Cameron accused the Guardian of damaging national security by publishing the revelations, warning that if it did not "demonstrate some social responsibility it would be very difficult for government to stand back and not to act". (The Guardian. Nov 1, 2013. LINK ) ... "

CONCLUSION
The Internet of EVERYTHING is here.

MooPig Home School Department :: "John Taylor Gatto"

The Fourth Purpose
Mashed by Pat Darnell  |  July 18, 2013  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

While experts carry on about the "enigma of compulsory education" in the USA, John Taylor Gatto is making a documentary about it. Our education drama is a spoiler because Education is paid for by public funds, and free to all the children. If it were not "free," believe me, parents and children would fight in the streets for the chance to go to school.

Deciding on how to spend the mountain of money that is our public education system has become an accountant's trick. Our politicians who pose as school administrators parlay all day long on "problems of our school system in terms of engineering solutions—longer school days, Phonics vs. Whole Word, merit pay for teachers, metal detectors, bigger districts, smaller class size."

The article suggests that we have lost any real purpose of education: "if the first three purposes are to create good people, good citizens, and good lives, as history suggests, then why have we allowed the Managerial Fourth Purpose to dominate what is really occurring in our 100,000 school buildings?. (2000-2003 The Odysseus Group. LINK) ..." Sometimes it seems the purpose of education is to produce non-voting taxpayers, and that's all.

In 1991, Mr. Gatto resigned from teaching in New York because "He didn't want to harm children anymore." We think that those who have fought the good fight of American education, and lost battles, usually tend to their wounds by writing an expose on the system. One of these whistle-blowers should have by now produced the definitive rebuttal to our Public Education debacle.
(2000-2003 The Odysseus Group. LINK)
" ... The Fourth Purpose, a 3-part, 6-hour documentary series will be the first film to ask this fundamental question. The series will tackle the American school system: present, past, and future—its anomalies, its history, and the alternatives. The idea is to throw a bucket of ice-cold water in the faces of pundits, experts, and bureaucrats. The intention is to radically shift the context within which people view schooling by offering a ‘unified field theory’ of how and why our school system is so deeply dysfunctional. And then, once we have everyone’s attention, to show what people might do about it. ... "
John Taylor Gatto Biography: "Gatto's office is in New York City, his home in Oxford, New York, where he is currently at work on a documentary film about the nature of modern schooling entitled The Fourth Purpose, with his friend and former student, Roland Legiardi-Laura. For more information about this film, visit The Fourth Purpose.

Gatto has been married for forty years to the same woman, and has two grown children and a cat. He hopes to build a rural retreat and library for the use of families pondering local and personal issues of school reform. John is available as a speaker. "

MooPig Site Review :: Escapism "FFFF" internal bleeding

[Picture LINK]

Are you Sick of the Status Quo?
Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Jan 22, 2012 | Bryan TX

Are we tired of Government junkets, bailouts, Obamacare, Patriot Act, tax increases, and foreign wars? Are we ever!

We need our escapes. And we need them without delay. So we look deeper into the curvy avenues of our Internet. We find electronic mash ups; and fakery to indulge in. Say yes to Escapism.

MooPig floats through the Internet with an eye for escape routes, like many others do. We are setting standards for strategic principles that drive quality and effectiveness. Yes, and, looking for that structure that supports our own message, and developments.

We want desperately to be COOL! Even if we have to be mopish, dole, or fiendish and raunchy. Or, our name is not Bill Due.

Ferocious Female Freedom Fighters - review and pictures | Internal Bleeding: "What do you get when you cross an Indonesian women’s wrestling movie, Troma Entertainment, and an action star who talks like Elvis? You get one of the funniest redubs in film history… Ferocious Female Freedom Fighters! FFFF is the story of Bambi, an exceptional Greco-roman wrestler on her way to the top. Unfortunately her brother has come down with a fatal case of dickosis, a made-up ailment where a buildup of semen goes straight to your brain. The only remedy is surgery, or oral release by a hooker. It’s a shame, but I guess there aren’t any 10 year old prostitutes in the Philippines… I had heard differently!"

'via Blog this'
Monkeyface: If I was going to write a college thesis on the subject of low budget action flicks this would be my closing argument! I mean come on, you would have to include Indonesian cinema, Cynthia Rothrock, and Peter O’Brian. This movie just screams bad story, worse acting, big explosions, and a ton of off the wall fight scenes. It's just all about entertainment and ridiculous stunts, something I love!

China has the world's largest online population with 485 million users

Retrieved by Pat Darnell | August 30, 2011 | Bryan TX

[PICTURE LINK]
Internet Use becomes THE Way of Life for Billions
MooPig Wisdom tells us that the complexity of Chinese language arts is 'Probably" a strong argument for why advanced mathematical minds come from China. And it isn't just China but all through the Orient ... but MooPig thinks the common link is the "Pictograph" nomenclature of the derived languages based on Chinese. It is so complicated to learn the written language, that more of the brain is utilized to cipher. This makes young Chinese very adept at math: one of our MooPig ad hoc theories.

That said; mathematical minds will inquire in special ways. It is a good gamble to anticipate that China online activity will grow into the billions. It won't take long either.

MooPig thinks it is not a simple consequence, but rather a colossal dispensation. What society has been able to resist Western Civilazation's Sugar, Blue Jeans, or iPods over the decades? None. And every Chinese wants those things that percolate the Internet: Chocolate, Denim, Hair, More Functional Genitals, and Financial Freedom! Don't laugh.

When China bureaucratic wonks block certain websites, we know that Internet Users will go to servers elsewhere to download what they seek. In its first days as an Internet user, MooPig could find ways to search out information that was blocked in the USA, by going through other servers such as those in Poland. It was too easy.

MooPig suggests the dispensation of Internet use to billions of Chinese will create enormous demand throughout the USA. So gear up, and call your agent to book you in Beijing. Get a gig in Shanghai. China has the world's largest online population with 485 million users:
People are seen surfing the web at an internet cafe in Beijing. Sina, the popular Twitter-like service which operates in China, has contacted millions of users warning them to ignore false reports, in a sign of growing official unease over the rise of social networking sites. Issuing PINK Slips to Federal Government Employees

VIVA! Revolucione! Quarter Million Tea Patrons Storm Washington Mall
Retrieved for Edumacational Porpoises by Pat Darnell, and, Houston Correspondent, Dave Darnell

What's the big fuss? What is the Tea Party all about? Seems nearly half million supporters want to unplug D.C.  Federal Government for breaches ... You can send a fax to voice your complaints:

The FAX: " ... to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

YOU ARE BEING PUT ON NOTICE
 HERE IS YOUR PINK SLIP!
AFTER REVIEWING RECENT VOTING RECORDS, WE HAVE FOUND IT NECESSARY TO DOWNSIZE GOVERNMENT.
Your superiors have reviewed all the hired hands in the Senate and the House of Representatives. Our review discovered many of our elected employees operating outside of their job descriptions and without authorization.

During the interview throughout the last election all job candidates promised to perform in accordance with their employer’s written instructions, also known as the U.S. Constitution. However, it has become painfully apparent that your terms of employment were never followed and your job performance is at an all time low.

Furthermore, it has been brought to the attention of your employer that you have engaged in flagrant violations of the Peoples instructions (aka the U.S. Constitution). Reference employer’s handbook: Articles 1 through 7 and Amendments 1 through 27.

Upper management has little choice but to take appropriate actions by un-electing, otherwise known as termination of employment, of those who refused to follow the employer’s instructions in 2010 and 2012. LIST OF FLAGRANT VIOLATIONS  [X] - Voting for National Health-Care against the will of your employer. These actions alone could bankrupt your employer.

[X] - Voting for Cap and Trade against the expressed wishes and direct instructions of your employer.
[X] - Endorsing dangerous security practices by promoting unguarded and unprotected borders, thereby jeopardizing Employer's livelihood, personal security and the continuation of domestic tranquility.
[X] - Creating a dangerous American work environment by funding Wall Street Fat Cats and Mortgage Moguls while ignoring America's largest employer, small business.
[X] - Restricting firearm sales, thereby increasing the risk of loss by the employer. The employer has given explicit instructions regarding firearms, yet direct violation of the Second Amendment "Right To Bear Arms" have been witnessed.

For Violations - Please reference, employer’s handbook. (U.S.C. September 17th 1787)

If you have been involved in any of these violations of the employer’s handbook (U.S. Constitution) or willfully ignored the expressed wishes of your employer, the People, then your services are no longer needed and you will be unelected in 2010, and others in 2012.

Definition of terms: Un-Election means: "You can KISS WASHINGTON GOODBYE, and We The People will send you home to Mama."

RECONSIDERATION: However, because of the great and gracious history of your Employer, We The People are willing to reconsider your previous actions if it is witnessed your attitude improves and you labor on behalf of your employer’ best interest, show an honest effort to reverse the damage done by yourself and fellow employees and not be in violation of the We The People’s Handbook, the U.S. Constitution.

 Signed:

Correspondence: Please write and inform me of your intentions. We The People will review every employee's performance and review each on a case-by-case basis. Authority: U.S.C. - Bill Of Rights: Amendment 1: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

* Robert J. McCracken: “We on this continent should never forget that men first crossed the Atlantic not to find soil for their ploughs but to secure liberty for their souls.”

Mareican

by Lee Greenwood
Title: Proud To Be An American [Mareican]

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be a [Mareican,]
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every [Mareican] heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an [Mareican,]
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be a [Mareican,]
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
