State of the "MooPig Wisdom" Address

After 3000 posts in MooPig Wisdom, and five years, it becomes necessary to explain what we stand for. It should be the other way around, but a blog is an evolving beast. What we know now, we didn't have a clue on in the beginning. [Do you notice that I am using the peculiar plural "we" in this message?]

Five years ago, 60 months, I went to key players and asked them to give me 60 months of truce. What for you may ask. In that time period two major events took place. The last two remaining Hynds kids had a kind of reunion in Dallas. [See CLOG Here] And now both of them have passed away. If they resolved themselves with the "key players," or not, was a major concern of mine. I can't speak for the key players, whether they took stock in the foretelling or not. But at that time in 2006 a light bulb went on and I conceived of using the Internet to journal the 60 months; and to possibly open up a forum for key players to communicate in.

In 2006 I had the knowledge of how to open a blog site using Google Beta Blogger, and also the knowledge of how to "cut and paste." Thus I spent long hours skidding through Google Images and other blogs looking for content. I discovered formats, tricks, news sites, and lots of other first timer bloggers. A list at this time of all MooPig Wisdom's discoveries is improbable if not totally moot.

And, the opportunity for others to join in never happened. What is important is that in its completion is a message. Without communication of thoughts, ideas and desires there is no chance for resolve. Now that the last of the Hynds children have passed, there is a lull in writing posts. Maybe the inspiration for blogging messages is lost.

Blogs are labors of love, MooPig Wisdom surely is. MooPig wisdom has about 400 pageviews per day. We are not read widely and, well, it kind of sucks. If you are not familiar with that term, labor of love describes a work that has merit, but few recognize its value.

Also, as in our case, Blogs are also master works of piracy. We tried to put MooPig Wisdom into a book format to put on our shelves, but found out that Blog 2 Print has a limit on how many pictures it can process from blogs to paper copy. MooPig Wisdom has over 8000 illustrations. It's like the KaaZaa of mostly pirated pictures and illustrations collections.

Not a brag, just a fact.

Now the 60 months are up, and MooPig Wisdom has run its course. Or has it?

Blogging Department :: "The Common Good"

It's not easy finding subjects to blog about. Blog was short for Business Log, now it has lots of other forms and meanings. The major thing it has done is change social order. Discover your business, and make a daily log. It has a time stamp and file on a server. That makes it personal and public, and patented. Your blog is your patent.

Some how the first responders are no longer just news media jockeys. The camera phone and the bystander, who just happens to know how to blog, is the first witness on the scene. On youTube you find what you can't find on TV.

So who is responsible for what is and what isn't displayed for the public eye? I think blogging is response to absurd network news hype, and inaccurate newspaper stories. If anything, the witness to events is no longer second hand news coverage, rather it is you where you stand!

"It's a trend," think the media jugheads. "We the people thrive on bad news, we see it in the blogs." So they begin an onslaught of bad news. Typical.

Emphasis on bad news makes for an unlevel playing field. There is good news out there, and some bloggers try to make it their business. Thus, lots of flip flopping about whether there really is good in good. What some describe as the common good is not the common good of others.

Here's today's lemming. The dip in property tax collections that was predicted did not happen.

Property Tax Collections on the Rise Again « Eye on Housing:
Some analysts expected large declines in property tax collections for state and local governments in the wake of the Great Recession. However, this drop has never happened, despite historic price declines for owner-occupied housing. In fact, recent data demonstrate that property tax collections are on the rise again, leading to higher effective property rates for homeowners and other property owners.

This elevated tax burden is significant, especially when one considers the decline in housing prices since 2006 – a decline that led many to incorrectly conclude that property tax payments would also significantly fall. According to the Case-Shiller national house price index, housing prices are down a little more than 30% over the last six years. Yet the decline of property taxes paid from the peak is negligible (0.4%). This means that the effective tax homeowners pay on their homes remains high.

Taxes paid by homeowners and other real estate owners remain the largest single source of taxes for state and local governments. At 34%, property taxes represent a significantly larger share than the next largest sources: individual income taxes (22%) and sales taxes (21%).

There are several reasons why property taxes have not dropped with housing values.

• First, assessments of value tend to lag.
• Second, Property tax authorities can adjust tax rates, increase them as property values decline.
• Taxes paid by homeowners and other real estate owners remain the largest single source of taxes for state and local governments. At 34%, property taxes represent a significantly larger share than the next largest sources: individual income taxes (22%) and sales taxes (21%).

So, copy it, for the love of God...

People want to figure it out for themselves. That is the reason for Blogs.

Everywhere one goes there is mysteries. People encounter mind benders at every interval of life. No kidding. If the mind were left unattended by reason and logic, ahem, it would go from stimulus to stimulus unguarded. Much like a puppy acts, people would let their noses lead them to every new smell.

In as much as people are not puppies, bloggers are not just anyone with enough time or narcissism to document every tedious bit of minutia filling their uneventful lives. Bloggers are first, good typists, then, people with too much time.

And now you want to be a blogger. Let's start then with "brand ambassadorships." Yes you heard it right here; "brand ambassadorships." No matter what you publish in your blog, you are now a maker of brands. You know that you can copy\ past nearly everything on the Internet... as long as you cite the sources, you might get away with using other blogger's stuff.

"Brand Ambassadorships" fulfill, but do not exceed anyone's ability to "copy and paste."

In the long run, you and your blog will probably suffer "some attacks and cease and desist" bombardments. You will survive though. There is no right and wrong up in here. Believe me if you are seeing the same stuff over and over for ten years, that is the stuff that is working on the Internet. So, copy it, for the love of God.

No matter how slimy, or, blocked, your stuff is, it has a market. And once you put yours out there, you have the makings of a patent. And your patent will some how become a brand. Then others will take up your standard and become "brand ambassadors" of yours.

Remember where you were on 9\11, and what you were doing? Well, if you don't then you are probably Taiwanese and were asleep at the time in Taiwan ... but that event scored a "large Internet number" for the sake of the technology that brings the Internet to us.

"Large Internet Numbers" are what we blog for, ultimately. One good friend says he gets 20,000 unique hits on his blog daily. Now, that is a "Large Internet Number." At social network sites, like faceBook, a celebrity, like Vin Diesel, will receive 35,423 LIKES after he says in his STATUS that "he just ate a sandwich." NOTE: You and I will have to work harder to get LIKES on our STATUS Updates.

"Large Internet Numbers." After the 9\11 debacle, people ran to and fro, listened to appeals, tried to sort out the information being fed to them, and what not, just plain tried to figure it out for themselves. The scenes of destruction from 9\11 imprinted all the minds of Americans who own televisions. And the Internet exploded with snippets of information, which, by the way, has grown to a very large Internet presence today in 2012.

In the aftermath 9\11 events remained imprinted on peoples' minds. No one was willing to just pass it off as a meaningless act. Some sorting out of the events needed to be done nationwide, so the imprints would go away, thus the best use for blogs. Dissipation of information from first source to all source points future.

Therefore, would be Blogger, remember no technical know-how is required to start. You just need to be a thinking human being who wants to figure out stuff for yourself. The rest will follow.

And you will enjoy your new self awareness.

MooPig's Checks and Balances Report

One very difficult subject to write about, is when one must toot his own horn. Sarcasm aside for a moment... okay?

After accomplishing last Christmas 1500 MooPig Wisdom published postings, I left it as a possibility that by this Christmas 2010 I would have 2000 posts finished. Posting means to me; "a daily clipping and a bit of sarcasm." That is what my three readers have come to expect. More or less.

It turns out, I had those 2000 done by November this year. So I felt a bit relaxed, then lethargic, then jealous, then in denial, then Lazy. I call these the five stages of: "Blogging Posts 2000 -post trauma Syndrome Disorder," or "BP2000 PTSD," for short.

You see, as the world turns, turning is the key operative word to the system. The News in the world is cyclic, the random parley of philosophers is cyclic.... it is an eternal ring. It begins, repeats, and stays in a spiral of sameness.

Within 2000 plus or minus postings is this phenomenological chronicled, archived and saved ad infinitum exists this cyclic nature. It is a genuine outline of how it is going to go down. In other words, I will look at today's headlines, and go to one of my similar, past, postings in my archives, click\copy\paste\edit, put today's date on it and satisfy my personal goal of blogging. Or does it?

No, it does not satisfy any need I can conjure up. In fact I get nauseous. For instance, it is nauseating to realize that there is still a Clinton in a high office in our Federal Government, spreading Clinton-ism all over the world, like a scab on a cut. Talk about your New World Order; a Clinton will be it's first Governor, no doubt.

Since late 2006 when I began MooPig Wisdom Blog, I have witnessed the leaking of documents, the baffling of politicians, the first openly gay Mayor elected, the advent of faceBook, I reported on an actress\model being chopped up and put in a suitcase and left in a dumpster... then, because of a new State law, 100,000 people left Arizona in masses. In our journey, as bonafide Bloggers, we at MooPig Enterprises have unearthed what we discovered as the "Manure Protocol."

All livestock living with us in the world has the need to recycle what it eats. The result is passed on to the ground.

All breaking news in the world has the need to be recycled. The result is ink on pulp and left to be deposited on the ground.

We discovered "breaking news" really does have a hold on our thoughts, actions, and deeds, as most of us go about our work-a-day lives. Speculation and conjecture are based on human toil to stay "ahead" of the curve. That curve ... remember is a spiral, an ellipse, an oval, a tube where the end is much like the beginning.

Where to go from here? I don't know. What it is -- bloggage -- is not what it will become. Or is it?

Forty-nine American Nobel laureates and other distinguished American scientists call the president's attention to the importance of increasing federal funding for scientific research.

Dear President Obama,
We know that the focus of the stimulus package is on short-term spending over 1-2 years, without long-term commitments of federal money. There are many urgent needs for short-term spending on science, such as infrastructure spending and bridge grants to allow research to continue until longer-term funding proposals are successful.

Funding for science and engineering creates good jobs throughout the local community: Families USA has estimated, for example, that each $1 billion of NIH research grant funding creates over 15,000 jobs with an average wage of $52,000/year and generates $2.21 billion of new business activity, a much better "multiplier" than many other proposed parts of the stimulus package.

Spending on science, engineering and technology will be only a relatively small part of a larger stimulus package, yet it will make a vital contribution to America's future. Increases in science spending provide an excellent stimulus while the economy needs one. But as you must appreciate, to rebuild American science, science spending will need to be sustained even when the economy returns to health. We know it is your goal to restore funding for science to the levels needed to maintain the vigor and leadership of American scientific research. The Constipation of the United States of America

An irregular diet and lots of stress seems like a perfect recipe for constipation. Sometimes, when we get too complicated in treating ailments, there are unforeseen, rebound effects that can be worse than the original symptoms. One can always make a case for using natural remedies whenever possible; leading ultimately to a steady, lasting improvement.

The United States of America is suffering from a severe case of social and political constipation. Liberals, such as Barak Obama and so many of the democrats who are in control of Congress are addicted to invasive remedies.

Stimulate This!!Okay last word: We're going BROWN.... with Obama's Package.
