Kind-patience, long-suffering, friendly-courtesy, calm-serenity, soft-skills, might not be part of a person's vocabulary before he or she becomes a parent.

The conditioning one receives from perilous parenting supplants all previous learned curricula. One cannot escape a child's adolescence, and the parent usually ends up unable to forgive oneself for all the battles that came out of that "special" time. Action speaks louder than words; at least that is what we thought. Our words are remembered, and remembered, and repeated, for generations.

This linked article gives us at least seven examples of things we say as we resort to incivility in our conversations with our children:

1. "If you don't stop that I'm going to leave you here"
2. "Why can't you be more like your sister or brother?"
3. "You're the reason we got divorced."
4. "Because I said so, that's why."
5. "Here, let me do that for you."
6. "You should be ashamed of yourself."
7. "We never wanted you anyway."

I'm GUILTY of most of these. YIKES!

Yes, our blogs, and quips, and twitters, and Reddits will all go into the massive black hole of destiny, and survive.

So will our attempts at parenting. Since we all decided to be immortal and pass on our genetic codes to our unsuspecting bairn, we will genetically be included in the over all scheme of perpetuity. Do you feel better now? I didn't think so. In fact it might make you more anxious.

We take this segue moment to look into a recent book that took a decade to write, and will take us a decade to read.

Procrastinate... Hell No! Pro-Activate with Vehemence

Missing and exploited children is a possibility we have difficulty facing as parents. by Pat Darnell

School Pictures have arrived here in Nirvana, Utopia - where women are strong, men are good-looking, and the children are all above average. Herein, it turns out, I sense a passe spirit of putting-off-till-later. Many are procrastinating a simple task; doing simple secondary research in the area of protection of our children's' rights to not be abducted against our collective wills.

Therefore, I submit a starting point for any procrastinating reader of this today.

Our precious bairn at any moment can be swept up into a line of bolixed bullshixta a mile long, and go missing. God forbid! And my prayer is that these possibilities are erased and do not apply today or for eternity... for any child. But --

We already bought the pictures, so why not be a part of a solution that eases turmoil in the wake of a lost child? Not only children -- Hey, I lost my Aunt in LA, she was a victim of Alzheimer's, but her absence caused alarm across the US. My family stretches from coast to coast, OC to Peachtree Georgia... by the time she was found, a lot of property damage was done, and our understanding of "being lost" was changed forever.

Utilize your sense of good will and free tool for all in this pursuit to wipe out missing and exploited children in our time. I suggest strongly your vehement pro-activity in this matter.

Oh, no I don't think so. You exploit the flies on GWB's brow, and all the barfing larvae thereabouts... I put you both on report to try put back something that you take from society wasting time rifling sick politicians and their wives!!! They will always be lost.

Three-- WORD for the day: PRO-ACTIVATE, eh? Mr. Colbert? and --
