MooPig Report from the Middle -- "Multigenerational Homes"

Housing in the Middle ...
Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Nov 18, 2012 | Bryan TX
[Plan LINK]

According to the National Association of Homebuilders, although home sales were down in recent years, this niche product "multigenerational" appears to be solid and growing.

What has happened in the housing market is that it has become impossible to sell a house while buying a house. In the past a seller could make the switch within a reasonable time. The federal government yelled FRAUD, and made everyone suspect to fraudulent practices. Loan underwriters barricaded themselves in a reactionary system of checking a buyer's closing papers over and over and over into oblivion. The switch from old house to new house has taken a turn for the worse. A buyer might end up waiting a full year for his financing to go through. That means paying two mortgages while waiting.

Families today might  opt to add wings to their casa's, wings and "L's" and mother-in-law additions, on property already paid for. Sounds like an old idea when children got married and the mother and father would build a house adjacent to the old farmhouse. In other words the children stayed close to the farm.

In the last century, with post-modern building came the idea of single family dwellings and efficiency's. You choose a parcel of land with a dwelling on it. That dwelling is usually designed to be the least for the most, or smallish rooms overall, with great rooms instead of living rooms or dining rooms.

Today, in the 21st century, formal living has given way to ubiquitous spaces. And work a day has been chopped into work a shift, while shopping has become bulk shopping, and storage for that is nil in post-modern dwellings. There is a shortage of storage space and closets in modern efficient home design.

As the article says: "... Though it was not financial woes that initially drove Bruno and her family to move in with her parents ... they had "temporarily" moved in after the housing collapse made it impossible to sell and buy simultaneously ... "

Multigenerational Homes: Real Estate's Next Big Thing as More Families Share a Space | AOL Real Estate: "Being roommates with your parents after age 21 sounds like a nightmare for most, but Jessica Bruno wouldn't have it any other way. Bruno, a 40-year-old mom, wife and DIY blogger, lives with her 62-year-old parents, Connie and Fred, in their Sutton, Mass., home. Oh, and there's Bruno's husband, Tony, and their 6-year-old son, Tony Jr. Think that's a lot of people under one roof? There's more. Bruno's grandparents, Grace, 80, and Fred, 82, live in the house, too. That's seven people from four generations living together in one home. Actually, make that nine: Bruno's two stepdaughters, 12-year-old twins Alexia and Gabriella -- Tony's kids from another marriage -- stay with them on weekends." (Krisanne Alcantara. Nov 16, 2012. HERE) ... "

" ... Though factors such as high unemployment, a battered economy and the recent housing crisis have pushed more people into multigenerational living, studies show that it's a trend that's circled back from a similar era. History Repeating Itself Just prior to World War II, a quarter of Americans lived with extended family, as the U.S. struggled through the Great Depression. But by 1980 the number of such households was slashed by half -- down to 12 percent from 25 percent in 1940. But that number has risen again -- spiking as the Great Recession hit in 2008, experts say. The Pew Research Center now estimates that 16 percent of Americans live in multigenerational households. ..."

" ...However, that may have economic benefits. Pew reports that the poverty rate among those who live in multigenerational homes is significantly lower than those who don't live with other adults other than a spouse or partner. Additionally, multigenerational households have much higher median incomes than other "average" households ($48,542 vs. $41,115 in 2009). ... "
According to homebuilder Tusino, who owns New England's largest housing developer, the rise in multigenerational households over the past few years has changed the landscape of modern home construction. The GBI-Avis CEO said that many families are now looking to either build a multigenerational-friendly home from scratch -- more informally known as the "in-law" setup, with separate entrances, custom floors and sections that feature senior-friendly kitchenettes, bathrooms and amenities -- or retrofit their existing structure with a modular room to accommodate extended family.
" ... But will these multigenerational living arrangements stick, or is this just another retro fad? According to Pew, if the demographic forces of immigration and delayed marriage continue, along with economic forces such as unemployment and a depressed housing market, we should certainly expect to see more and more families come together under one roof to rally resources and provide each other emotional support. ... ? ..."

It looks like designers will be putting the extra rooms into conforming formats that don't deviate from neighborhood regulations for housing. Same old facades, modified interiors. Two problems stand out immediately. One, where are the extra automobiles going to be parked, and two, there will be a need for a large storage pantry, for bulk grocery buying.

MooPig suggests that this is a retro-fad that is following the stark realization that we cannot afford two mortgage payments, and if we could, we would have built for multigenerational possibility in the first place.
We would have bought more acreage to begin with, then we would have put a larger shack on it, with plenty of "Guest Rooms."

So we look for the middle weird floor plan and here is 'Balls and All' ...

MooPig Fountain of Youth Department : "Telomeres"

What Would You Pay for Eternal Youth?

Dear Patdarnell,

Isn’t technology incredible?

I remember when the first plasma televisions came out. They were these shiny, sleek things, maybe a couple inches deep at most... and they cost $15,000!

Today you can get one the same size that’s far more advanced for only a few hundred bucks.

But that’s how technology works. When it’s brand new it costs a fortune until everyone joins in, and then the price drops.

I didn’t buy that first plasma TV. But I was involved right from the start with another breakthrough technology that was very expensive when it came out.

And I had to pay $20,000 for it just like everyone else.

I was the first physician in the entire world licensed to distribute what was then the only natural supplement that had the capacity to slow the aging process. It helped maintain telomeres, the tiny caps at the end of DNA that control how we age.

When this supplement first became available, I told them I didn’t want to give my patients something I wasn’t taking myself. So I asked for some... and they wouldn’t give me any!

But I knew the technology that won the Nobel Prize for Medicine is the most important medical breakthrough maybe ever. Because it finally gives us the control and the ability to decide how we are going to age.

So I went ahead and paid $20,000 to be on the protocol, just like my patients.

Even Dr. Bill Andrews... the guy who identified the sequence for the gene... the lead researcher on the team... the guy who developed it... they wouldn’t give it to him, either.

Yet he bought it himself, too.

And you know what? I was delighted to pay.

My assistant S.D. can tell you how happy I was. I told her flat out, “Unless they make this stuff illegal, I’ll be taking it!”

Many of my patients were just as happy. And I was glad to provide it for them.

Then like all technology, more people started using it, and the price came down.

But I wanted to make a complimentary product... something that was new enough that no one would have anything like it in the world, but based on proven science that would be safe, effective and take advantage of what we now know about telomere protection.

It’s been three years of diligence and research to create something that can help maintain the length and the health of your telomeres.

And I’m happy to announce today that my team and I have succeeded.

I’ve gone through a lot personally to make this possible.

It’s such a new technology, which means very few people were aware that we now had the ability to control the body’s aging clock. So we had to start from scratch and spend a lot of time and effort to educate everyone as we went along about the benefits keeping your telemeres healthy.

We also had a lot of technological issues. It took hours of searching and investigation. We knew there was research on even more nutrients, enzymes and compounds that protect these fragile and all-important body clocks that are changing the world of medicine forever. But they’re not easy to identify or wade through.

I’m glad to say, we finally found everything we were looking for, and set to work.

Now the job is done. We’ve got the best information that’s out there, and I believe we’ve made a giant leap forward with this dramatic new formula.

I call this new technological breakthrough Chalice. It’s by far the most advanced natural supplement of its kind anywhere in the world.

Chalice has sixteen natural compounds that help maintain and protect the length and integrity of your telomeres.

I have to say, I’ve written more than a dozen books on natural healing. I’ve discovered hundreds of cures from around the world, and produced over a hundred healing formulas.

Out of all those discoveries I’ve investigated, created and prescribed...

This is the single best formula I’VE EVER CREATED AS A DOCTOR.

And here’s news that’s going to make your day...

Because modern technology has come so far, I’m able to offer Chalice to you for less than a fifth of the price.

And that’s not even the best part... because if we can get enough people to sign on, we’re going to be able to deliver Chalice at an even lower cost. If we get the word out and enough people join in, we may be able to get this to a place where it’s accessible to everyone.

As it is, we’re working hard to get you the best prices we can. But remember, as far as we’ve come, Chalice is still a new technology. We’ve done a lot to get it down into the price range where the average working person can get it ... if you think it’s important enough, and if you really want to commit to it.

When you take advantage of the lowest priced option below, it comes out to about the cost of a daily quick lunch. That’s not too expensive when you think about it that way... it is possible for people with average incomes. You don’t have to be a Rockefeller to try Chalice.

And remember, as always, I give you my unconditional assurance that if for any reason you are unsatisfied at any time, you can return the unused portion of Chalice for a full and prompt refund of every penny. That way, you risk nothing.

It’s the most advanced telomere maintenance supplement that’s ever been created, and has very powerful elements that help slow the aging of your telomeres and keep them healthier,s longer. Try it today ... it’s like taking a sip from the fountain of youth.

To Your Good Health,

Al Sears, MD

Selena Gomez

-- VS --

Captain Jack Sparrow

Some Back Story:
Our very own Webmaster Greg recently went to see the talented Selena Gomez as she kicked off her new nationwide tour at the Orange County Fair on Sunday July 24th. Disney had also invited some various actors to the show including Adam Irigoyen (Deuce, Shake It Up), Caroline Sunshine (Tinka, Shake It Up) Bella Thorne (CeCe, Shake It Up), and Stefanie Scott (Lexi, ANT Farm). Selena did a total of 18 songs, including songs from all three of her studio albums with an obvious emphasis on the newest album.

MooPig City Desk Department :: PART ONE -- New World Order, Agenda 21

WAAAZZZZZ~UP?
Retrieved by Pat Darnell  |  Nov 14, 2012  |  Bryan TX
[Picture LINK]

Agenda for the 21st century:: Everyone everywhere today is asking 'So, what's the Plan?'

But did you know about in the 1990's the UN was making plans for all who might be asking. It is a bonafide piece of work signed by 178 world leaders, in 1992, called the Agenda 21 -- referring to the 21st Century -- at the UN Conference on Environment and Development, UNCED, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,... " aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come." Signed by Pres George H W Bush here in the USA.

Two words stand out from the preambles of the documentation and plans from the 'voluntarily signed Agenda' -- Sustainable Development. That seems to imply 'everything besides fossil fuel developments.'

Who might be asking today in 2012 for a plan? That would be the millions of people who participated in the 'revolutions' all through the Muslim Dictatorships, and those of us who just participated in our 2012 national election. We all in fact should be asking: What is the Plan, now?

When you Google around for Agenda 21 you get the following documentation, a list of where to go in counties to get your plan on :

The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide :: AN INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PLANNING

Main entry under title: The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide “In June 1992, the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development adopted Agenda 21, the global action plan for sustainable development.”—Introd. Includes bibliographical references, case studies ISBN: 0-88936-801-5

1. Sustainable Development —Planning—Handbooks, Manuals, etc.
2. Community Development—Environmental aspects—Planning—Handbooks, manuals, etc.
3. Economic Development—Environmental aspects—Planning—Handbooks, manuals, etc.

II. International Development Research Centre (Canada)

HC79.E5157 1996 338.9 C96-980128-9 -- Legal deposit: 2nd quarter 1996 National Library of Canada -- A microfiche edition is available

Agenda 21 is a 300-page document divided into 40 chapters that have been grouped into 4 sections:

Section I: Social and Economic Dimensions This section is directed toward combating poverty, especially in developing countries, changing consumption patterns, promoting health, achieving a more sustainable population, and sustainable settlement in decision making.

Section II: Conservation and Management of Resources for Development Includes atmospheric protection, combating deforestation, protecting fragile environments, conservation of biological diversity (biodiversity), control of pollution and the management of biotechnology, and radioactive wastes.

Section III: Strengthening the Role of Major Groups Includes the roles of children and youth, women, NGOs, local authorities, business and workers and strengthening the role of indigenous peoples, their communities, and farmers.

Section IV: Means of Implementation Implementation includes science, technology transfer, education, international institutions and financial mechanisms.
'via Blog this'

In many respects it is a New World Order, one that tries to diffuse the tensions of 7 billion people dependent on non-renewable fossil fuels. People are tense; yes very agitated. But one wonders why all this tension is released in the decade following Y2K.

Is all this tension after all an artificial development in populations worldwide? That would be a first. In the last century there was 'lag times' for planetary movement of people. For example: the USA did not enter the World Wars right away, for instance. Or, NASA didn't continue to visit the moon after 1969... and why not? We the people 'nation wide' had to take some time to make up our minds.

What is the hurry now? The 'pillars' of the document refer to priority in addressing the world's poor, hungry, and destitute. Those pillars also mimic green slogans like: standards including organic, Rainforest Alliance, fair trade, UTZ Certified, Bird Friendly, and The Common Code for the Coffee Community, and so on.

It turns out that someone thought to include a non-eugenic pillar:
" ... Indigenous peoples have argued, through various international forums such as the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and the Convention on Biological Diversity, that there are four pillars of sustainable development, the fourth being cultural. The Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity, UNESCO, 2001, further elaborates the concept by stating that "... cultural diversity is as necessary for humankind as biodiversity is for nature”; it becomes “one of the roots of development understood not simply in terms of economic growth, but also as a means to achieve a more satisfactory intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual existence". In this vision, cultural diversity is the fourth policy area of sustainable development. (HERE) ... "
CONCLUSION
So this is not a eugenics based plan, that would further prompt ignoble people to destroy large sky scrapers around the world's cities, to force a nation to attack bad guys in their dictatorship castles?

Unfortunately best laid plans of mice and men often go astray. It would not surprise me if this Agenda 21, now in its second decade of existence, will fall short of its altruist goals.

  • NEXT WEEK :: PART TWO -- The Guys in Charge

Some Key words: sustainable development, Maurice Strong, Pres George H W Bush, Agenda 21, 1992 UNCED, eugenics, diversity, Communitarianism
