UPDATE ~~ MooPig Report from the Middle :: "Causality..." UPDATED

[Picture LINK]

by Pat Darnell  |  Nov 12, 2015  |  Bryan TX

Professor Longshadow smoothed out the ends of his mustache. The nubile on row three, seat four asked a question he could not understand.

"Could you repeat that, please Miss?" Professor Longshadow squinted at her.

"My name is Miss Pembroke. What I am saying is Alaskans chill out; we in Chicago spazz out!"

"Do you feel lacking in some way in your urban life, Miss Pembroke?"
"... Such an institution of coercion, centralizing immorality, directing theft and murder, and coordinating oppression on a scale inconceivable by random criminality exists ..." was what Professor Longshadow had just said in his lecture.
"What is this really about?" asked the Professor.

"Winter; that's what I am talking about," said Miss Pembroke. "I need a philosophy of Winter."

"But I am lecturing about philosophic models of the Free Market," said Professor.

"Well, that is maybe good for you, but all you are saying is what other philosophers say about each other," explained Miss Pembroke. "I need 21st Century material."

The lecture hall began to hum with under breath mutterings of the other students. It is common fact that Professor Longshadow had been putting students to sleep for many years. Miss Pembroke's interruption awakened many of the sullen tide of undergrads.

"I'm fed up with Philosopher number two talking smack about Philosopher number three," said Miss Pembroke.

All she got was the "Longshadow thousand mile stare."

TO BE CONTINUED...

UPDATE:
"...The venerable lecture has few allies today. While many in the humanities have long preferred seminar-style instruction, our friends in the sciences have begun to give the lecture a second look. A growing body of research suggests that lectures simply are not that effective, especially when compared to active-learning models.( WILLIAM FENTON.  NOVEMBER 12, 2015. LINK)..."
"So what you are saying, Miss Pembroke, is that the streets are not a comfortable place for you?" asked Professor Longshadow.

"The streets in Chicago during winter are treacherous, dirty, slushy, mind-boggling dangerous, and yes I am uncomfortable on the streets IN WINTER," said Miss Pembroke, "and what I need is a philosophy that helps me cope with Chicago winters."

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "Women and the High Kick"

Girls' Kicking
Mixed Martial Articles by Pat Darnell  |  May 24, 2014  |  Bryan TX

One time a writer at MooPig Enterprises submitted a short story in which the girlfriend of the protagonist whipped around and put her foot in his face, just as a warning. He deserved it, he was a minister, and was talking trash to her. We didn't publish that story; at the time it was written in 1985, it was not a regular thing to see women kicking faces of men. Move ahead about 30 years and we look forward to heroines in cinema kicking the tar out of everyone -- men, women, robots, but not children's faces, thank goodness.

[Picture LINK]

Hitting girls, women, in my time was taboo. They can pound on me, but I keep my hands down. So today I see men beating the shit out of women and vice versa to my saddened realization that I have outlived my demographic. I remember Cagney slapping a woman in a WWII era film. But that was my only remembrance.

The only high kick was what women aspired in dance teams.

[Picture LINK and LINK]

This high kicking had no hostility behind it. It just demonstrated female agility. In MooPig Site Reviews: Efforts of the Generalists' in Post-Modern Pre-Revival Modern Pre-Quel Age we discuss the high kick as part of sports, parades, circuses, and other surprising unsolicited entertainment.

I don't think you will find any classic poetry about the subject of the female high kick. It is a Google quest to find "High Kick, Female, Poetry." You don't see any combination like this, only single parts of that phrase... Modern poetry winners still talk about the body in terms of its collective parts ... Here's a title that contained all the parts of the search, but was not what we are looking for ... "...

Poem gets high school football player suspended, kicked off team

 (LINK)..."

If only this young poet had spent his passion on women's high kick:

It happens so quick
Only a camera can catch it
one round buttocks thrust forward
in that lady's high kick ...

In a flash of pony
She stands on one set of toes
And expects us all
to maintain our repose.

But heavens to mergatroid
Extending her femur like an android...
We see angles that snare
Our subliminal attention unawares.

Thank you Bathsheba's
thank you marching bands
... and thank you camera shooters
for showing me these rooters!

Hoorah for Uma Thurman
David Carridine, and Serenity
... Who killed Bill, determined
With high kick proficiency.

[Another impromptu poem by Pat Darnell based on a failed Google search]

CONCLUSION
Welcome to the debate.. and take note. We need High Kick Cheering if we are to Survive the next generation of female heroines in cinema; they need to learn somewhere, why not in high school drill teams. MooPig discusses yet another benchmark capability of Middle American Know How that Values expression by our National Treasures from other Southern Locales ...

Special thanks to Buffy, Wonder Woman, Zena, Ellen Ripley, the Rockettes, Kilgore College Rangerettes, Dana Scully, Sarah Conner, my ex-high-school-girlfriend Becca James, and all the rest. And a special hello to all the parents, boy friends and siblings who are saying: "Yeah, she's in the line tenth from the left!!!"

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "Dr. Neil Clark Warren"

Who Would Win this Cage Match?
Merged concepts by Pat Darnell  |  Feb 16, 2014  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK]

Dr. Neil Clark Warren

-- versus --

Humanity

Whether you know it or not, there was a once upon a time where I was a pretty good alcoholic. Actually I wasn't pretty good, I was great. Every time I went out I got the high score. No one scored higher. Between amount consumed, bad decisions made, and people pissed off, I championed more than most. Anything worth doing is worth doing right, right?

I was living in Marthasville, Missouri at one of my peak times. It is the Wine Country of Missouri, go figure. I was scoring left and right at the "Drink till you Drop Wine Tasting Vineyards." I recently escaped from a particularly messy marriage, meaning I was a mess, and made a few key decisions.

Firstly, I was never going to get married again. That was obviously for chumps, much like college, right, Natan? Shut up, conscience! Secondly, I needed a gnarly beard to help scare off any potential chicks that wanted a piece of me.

I'm up late one night drinking who the heck knows what, when I decided that I was lonely. Time for a little female companionship. Where would I meet someone though? I'm an unemployed loser who lives in a friend's house. I wake up hungover at 3 PM everyday just about time my friends get off work so I can get my drink on.

In between "Clonus" and "Ankle Biters," a great horror movie about vampiric dwarfs, I saw a commercial for eHarmony. They touted that they had set up thousands of happy couples. "I've never been so happy," says some neatly dressed overweight nerd with a supermodel on his arm.

I slowly make my blurry way to the computer and slump into the chair. eHarmony.com pops up and tells me that I'll have "thousands of results in just a few minutes!"

"Sheesh! Thousands? All I need is one!" I think. I begin the process of inputting my information. This website asks me about every single aspect of my life from childhood to my religious views. Even though I'm at a particularly sarcastic point in my life, I decide it's time for me to take this thing seriously. So I answer as well as I can -- even taking time to really think about my answers between drinks. Two hours later, I'm finished; I take a deep breath and "submit".

What seems like hours tick by as I wait for my results. "Come on, " I'm thinking. "I don't need all 10,000 at once, just a couple hotties to chat up."

No results. None. Zero, eharmony comes back and informs that I am "un-match-able." Somehow in their internet database of hundreds of thousands of women with varying interests and feelings, I cannot be matched with any of them. I knew that I was a difficult dude but the idea that no one on the internet would want a guy like me had never passed through my mind.

Needless to say, I don't remember much of the rest of the night.

I should reiterate that I have since made changes in my life and don't feel quite the same way. In fact, I'm certain that is a direct result of my poor decisions that things kept working out for me the way they did. I'm hopeful that someone will marry me regardless of what eHarmony thinks. Just remember when you are trapped in a tunnel, watch where the rats go, they know the way out.

Quite the beard and quite the post, Natan. Also, I don't know when the last time was that I checked to make sure there is no permanent brain damage resulting from my propelling your noggin into the space between the car door and frame that one time in Helena (where I learned to never listen to anything Brig Heaps said ever again). Based on this post, you are able to write a coherent, humorous blog. I am relieved.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "The Almost Dog"

Robert David Darnell
by Pat Darnell  |  Dec 27, 2013  |  Bryan TX

[Picture by Desiree Darnell] Christmas Day, Dad with our dog Foos, "Where's the new puppy, Grandpaw?"

It has been cool this month. That is how we describe the weather when it is 70 highs and 45 lows, in Houston.

"I don't think we are going to get any freeze this year," says Robert Darnell, my 91 year old Dad.

Since Mom passed away last April, Dad is alone much of the day. He has a home health care helper, Treena, come in from 1 PM to 6 PM every day to help him in his routine. We dropped in on him for Christmas Day. Dropped in as in brought the kids, the dog, and lots of food. Dad eats like a bird.
[Picture LINK]
He said he lost 20 pounds since his last year's physical, now weighing in at 145. He goes to the VA Hospital on 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, in the Michael DeBakey VA Medical Center. Dad wears hearing aids in both ears since his hearing faltered. It was determined he lost much of his hearing ability during WWII when he was on a Destroyer in the Pacific. "Our guns pounding the Japanese during Okinawa, pop, pop, when Kamikazers were trying to sink us ..." Dad says.

Two days before Christmas Dad's home health helper drove him down to Pet Rescue. He thought he might try a small dog to keep him company. So he and Treena mulled over the group of pups in the shelter, and settled on a terrier. Another family thought they might like this pup too. But Dad did the paper work, and adoption process and took his new puppy home.

Treena and Dad showed her the back yard where she would do her business. They played with her in the house.

For the rest of the day the puppy sat calmly in his lap, and followed Dad around the house. Dad uses a rolling walker to get around. He has had a bum knee since he wrenched it a few years back. The VA told him it would take a knee replacement to fix it. But he decided after watching Mom go through that, that he would forego that surgery, "because he is too ole," and has settled for monthly shots that ease his knee.

"What kind of dog is she?" I asked Dad on the phone when I called to tell him we would be there
Christmas Day.

"She's a mixture Terrier," said Dad.

Everything went okay, Treena left for the day, leaving Dad with his new Pup. Around dusk the puppy followed her instincts, and got very riled and boisterous as she heard someone walking outside in the street. Dad puttered over to the front door and opened it. His new puppy tore out of the house and got on the heels of one of Dad's neighbors. It was a nightmare for Dad, because of his impaired hearing, and he has to go pretty slow with his walker on the uneven ground outside.

Dad had to go all the way out to in the street and try to get the puppy back in the house. With his neighbor's help some how they meticulously got the puppy to calm down and go back in Dad's house.

Dad continued his evening routine and eventually went to bed.

When he woke up he discovered several piles of doggy doo around the house. Things were looking bad for Dad's new companion. Dad of course, can't stoop like he used to, and he can't clean like he used to. So, when Treena returned in the afternoon, they took the puppy back to the shelter for the other family who also wanted her.

That's our Report from the Middle; where the women are strong, the men are good-looking, and the children are all above average.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "Dueling Dualies"

[Picture LINK]

When is it Politically Correct to ask: What Evil is This?
by Pat Darnell  |  Nov 24, 2013  |  Bryan TX
“The problem ain’t what we don’t know: it’s what we do know that ain’t so.” Yogi Berra
Evil doesn't like to be named. Ever notice that? It would rather remain incognito. But trends show up in modern reporting methods. Any one who steps into the stream of Internet-Tube-Radio today is pretty much snagged by millions in one's inception.

Evil then has to find different avenues to lurk about and to go unnoticed in its efficacy to spread its stories. Eh?

It is not likely that evil will even be abolished by the new transparency of our communications in our Internet Era. In fact evil doers will find a way to remain "Mysterious," regardless. Who will pay their way? As usual it will be middle people who fall for evil-doers' tricks; paying with their minds, souls, and bankrolls.

America’s angriest white men: Up close with racism, rage and Southern supremacy - Salon.com: EXCERPT  |   " ... the contemporary militias and other white supremacist groups are following in the footsteps of the Ku Klux Klan, the Posse Comitatus, and other Far Right patriot groups who recruited members in rural America throughout the 1980s. They tap into a long history of racial and ethnic paranoia in rural America, as well as an equally long tradition of collective local action and vigilante justice. There remains a widespread notion that “Jews, African-Americans, and other minority-group members ‘do not entirely belong,’” which may, in part, “be responsible for rural people’s easy acceptance of the far right’s agenda of hate,” writes Matthew Snipp. “The far right didn’t create bigotry in the Midwest; it didn’t need to,” Davidson concludes. “It merely had to tap into the existing undercurrent of prejudice once this had been inflamed by widespread economic failure and social discontent.”"

[Picture LINK]

'via Blog this'

Evil is no joke, but will have a big problem if laughed at, because of the size of its false ego ...that we will define as Eckhart Tolle says: "the complete identification with our thoughts and desires, usually with a selfish perspective."

Then there is the biggest question we all have on our lips, when is it politically correct to cal Evil out? Not only in the USA, but world wide we have experienced widespread segregation. It's not just blacks and whites with integration problems, it is common to all tribes of humans all over the globe. Any human activity that includes hate, genocide, or repression is Evil, yes?

MooPig Enterprises has long known that in the herd if you don't integrate with diversity in your genetic lineages, your herd will die out. Your herd will become sterile and have a zero population growth. If you push too far with the incest you will produce odd fellows, like a cousin 'It' in your herd. For example:
" ... Elected officials from Bossier Parish have always had a laissez-faire attitude toward conflicts of interest, nepotism, and brother-in-law dealings. Often referred to as the free state of Bossier, the parish and city governments operate like a magic kingdom in a child’s fairytale, –where good wins out over evil, and everything always ends happily ever after.(Settle, John. May 25, 2012. LINK) ... "
Is everything okay in the Lala Land of middle America; where Dualies and SUV's roam, and never is heard a disgruntled word because they are shut up immediately? Because it doesn't end with first generation rich folks; " ... one of the biggest advantages rich parents pass on to their offspring — let’s say the second-biggest, after “money” — is the sense of entitlement necessary for an entirely unaccomplished rich person to coast through life without constantly feeling crippling guilt (ALEX PAREENE. AUG 21, 2013. LINK )..."

What ever happened to causes that came up with "Make Love; Not War," and "Give Peace a Chance," and “There’s this idea that the more you have, the less entitled and more grateful you feel— and the less you have, the more you feel you deserve. That’s not what we find,” says author Paul Piff, a psychologist at the University of California in Berkeley. Second generation fortunate sons and daughters have forgotten that Evil likes to be unnoticed? Rich people basically say this out loud, in public, constantly, these days: The rich, THEY think they deserve it and you don’t.

CONCLUSION
Now that we have you all riled up... we just wanted to say that "Evil has no conscience; evil doesn't feel guilt." Evil can be identified in its duality, that is, its two-faced nature. Also, as we see more evil, we recognize its likes: it cannot help from boasting about its intentions and victories. For Evil to continue in obscurity, it therefore must find new avenues to travel to survive in perpetuity.

This all sound a bit preachy? Well, that is because it is MooPig's Report from the Middle; where women are strong, men are good-looking, and children are above average.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "Infrastructure"

Report Card for Texas Infrastructure 2008 / 2012, a dismal "C"
Retrieved by Pat Darnell and Assid Reflux  |  Mar 19, 2013  |  Bryan TX

Every 4 years, the American Society of Civil Engineers releases a Report Card for America’s Infrastructure that depicts the condition and performance of the nation’s infrastructure in the familiar form of a school report card by assigning letter grades to each type of infrastructure.

PART ONE: Local, Texas
There are twelve categories in America's report card:
  1. Schools
  2. Drinking Water
  3. Waste Water
  4. Dams
  5. Solid Waste
  6. Navigable Water Ways
  7. Roads
  8. Bridges
  9. Aviation
  10. Transit
  11. Flood Control
  12. Energy
Focusing on the report card for Texas, let's pick on one tiny part of this assessment, Modernizing Our Schools:  per National Education Association (NEA), Texas has a "D-" for Schools, which has not improved from 2008.
" ... From 2000 – 2010, the population of Texas grew 20.6% according to the U.S. Census. In 2010, 19.5% of the population in Texas was school age, a percentage that has remained relatively constant. These figures indicate a current increase in school populations of just about two percent per year. Texas enrollment is the fastest growing for the 15 most populous states over the last decade. ... "
Compare to a 50-state estimate of the need for school modernization in the United States along with recommendations: Key findings show the total funding needed for public school modernization is $321.9 billion, and that total funding needed for public modernization varies dramatically across states, ranging from $50.7 billion (New York) to $333 million (Vermont).

Texas spends just $8,908 per student each year, which is well under the national average of $11,463, according to the National Education Association. Per student annual spending dropped $500 after the Perry education budget was approved by lawmakers.

" ... In Texas, the gain in jobs from 2009 to 2011 has been a loss for the Texan student. During those same three years average spending per enrolled student declined 10.4%, while nationwide, the same measure increased 3.7 % over the same period, according to the Dallas News. ( Alex Rogers. Feb 05, 2013. LINK) ... "
" ... The conservatives of the Texas legislature are about to try again to fool the state's taxpayers into funding private schools with a voucher program. The Republican argument, which falls apart under scrutiny, has been that no child should be condemned to attend a failing public school. No conservative wants to talk about why the public school system might be troubled, however, nor do they contemplate the even greater long-term damages to be wrought by school choice. (James Moore. 1.06.2013. LINK) ... "
So, by deductive reasoning, Texas schools will stay at the substandard level of "D-" for a long time here after. Political fervor to not spend on public education will cause stammer in any attempt to pass bonds for education, or attract Federal funding for our ailing public schools. We think as the public schools go, so will the private schools. Let's call it "Dismal," a D-, for Texas school children. And Texas ends up with inadequate public schools.
' ... State Senator Dan Patrick (R), who promises to push a repackaged vouchers bill in the 2013 legislative session, portrays himself as the champion of parents wanting to free their children from the prisons of public school ignorance and failure. He is, instead, a lost horseman leading a misguided herd off of a cliff into a far canyon. Vouchers will create even greater disparities in educational quality and new forms of segregation. (James Moore. 1.06.2013. LINK) ... "
Question for you; let me know in the comments if you understand this "State funding" statement:
" ... State funding to support school districts with debt principal and interest expenditures related to public school facilities is provided through the Instructional Facilities Allotment and the Existing Debt Allotment. These programs ensure equalized funding related to the Interest and Sinking (I and S) tax effort at rates of $35.00 per penny per student in ADA. The EDA assistance is limited to 29 cents of tax effort, a limit that does not apply to IFA. Higher property wealth school districts rely upon local tax property taxes and receive no state aid from these state aid sources. (ASCE Texas Section. LINK) ... "
So, in Texas, State funding for schools comes from property tax? Is that all they are saying? And the richer the community, the less that community receives for schools?
" ... If less money comes from Austin to local districts, those schools simply have to make cuts or find new ways to raise revenue, which often occurs through increased property valuations on homeowners... (Moore, James. 1.06.2013 LINK)... "
Here is the entire Texas Infrastructure Report Card:

PART TWO: The Nation
What will it cost to bring up our Nation's rating?

In context of our "federal" ailing infrastructure, we hover around a "D" grade overall. Proposed “key solutions” in the 2009 report, included:
  • Increasing federal leadership
  • Promoting sustainability and resilience
  • Complementing a national vision
  • Addressing life-cycle and maintenance costs
  • Improving infrastructure investments from all stakeholders
How much? It will cost the United States of America $2.2 to $3.2  trillion: "the report estimated that $2.2 trillion is the required five-year investment to increase the infrastructure’s condition to “good.” ( Melanie Wong. May 7, 2012. LINK) ... "

TABLE: Estimated 5-year Investment Requirement in Billions of Dollars. Source: ASCE Report for America’s Infrastructure, 2009

CONCLUSION, more of a RANT:
The Rothschild's are worth about $700 trillion. (LINK). Bill Gates Net Worth: a measly $67 Billion as of March 2013 -- Harvard Drop Out -- (LINK). Current Governor of the state of Texas and Republican Presidential primary candidate Rick Perry has a net worth of $3 million. He's accumulated that net worth largely through his family's fortune, and his numerous published books... (LINK)

As we lie awake at night, with gurgling stomachs, and 3 AM beckons us to nervous paranoia ... our imaginations are taxed, and we perceive our children sleep in an unsure state of being.

What socio-pathic government morons are doing at this hour? I can only suspect they are sleeping the sleep of the evil damned. Their home life is not thwarted by their own "denial" and cock-a-mania "conservative agendas." Their children sleep in the throes of voucher privilege. Their infrastructure is covered by the government check they receive, and government vehicles they are given. Yes, given ease of living by us generous folk out here.

Those others, the sleeping rich guys, are born on third base, and never get the pleasure of gutting out a real life struggle to just get on first base, like us. Their idea of work is flying a jet airplane.

It always sounds like sour grapes from us at MooPig Enterprises. What it really is, is acid reflux. So, next time your State votes on education bonds, be sure you are on the right side of that matter.

And that's our Report from the Middle; Where the women are strong, the men are good looking, and the children are hopefully above average.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "MooPig's Favorite Tags"

Graphics that Attract -- REDDIT
by Pat Darnell  |  Dec 28, 2012  |  Bryan TX
[Picture LINK]

MooPig has reached another mile post, it has published its 3000th rewilding article. That is -- the day of reckoning will emerge one day in the future. On that day all the 'un-cited' or erroneously 'LINK-ed' articles will be purged from the pages of MooPig.

Then MooPig will be reduced to a few articles that don't pirate, or misquote the contributors of news items and other catchy stuff. Maybe it will help those who are constantly confused as to whether the thing they just read, or saw, is fact or fiction. Eh?

Here's the question of the year: "Just what group best epitomizes those who are confused about what they just read, or saw, on the Internet?"

I give you intro to REDDIT ... and the generation of "the front page of the Internet." You can set up your own login, and then search REDDIT for what ever on earth you are searching for. It is the fully indexed summation of 12,000 years history of mankind.

First off we search for MooPig... and HERE you are... MooPig is a USER and it isn't me. So do we call foul? Do we hit that USER with cease and desist? You bet we don't!

Just let it go. Best laid plans are mostly eat up with a dumbass. And on the Internet, it is best to be skeptical.

For instance, where do we go to find out if this statement is false or fiction?
" ... A whopping 464 banks with combined assets of $680.3 billion have ALREADY failed. That’s in the U.S. alone, since 2008. But according to my colleagues at Weiss Ratings, ANOTHER 202 global banks — with assets of a whopping $43.6 trillion — are at risk, with ratings in the two lowest tiers. (Mike Larson. alerts@e.weissinc.com via mam3.gliq.com. Today Dec 28, 2012)... "
It is a late breaking email alert from Weiss Research, just received by me. "Bank failure" search in REDDIT gives 1179 LINKS for lots of reading. Legit, or, false? You be the judge.

That's the report from the Middle, where men are good looking, women are strong, and the children are above average.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "TV Trends"

Meet Your New TV
by Pat Darnell | Dec 15, 2012 | Bryan TX

Cutting the Cable: Pay TV Subscribers Turn to Internet - ArkansasBusiness.com: "Between 2008 and 2011, an estimated 2.65 million people, or 2.6 percent of U.S. pay TV subscribers, cut their TV subscriptions to rely solely on online content or watch broadcast television with the use of an antenna, according to an April report from the Convergence Consulting Group Ltd. of Toronto, which studies the trend. Of that number, 1.05 million did it in 2011, and it is projected that by the end of this year the number of cord cutters will reach 3.58 million, the study said."

In three years, 2.6% of US TV end users cut off their Cables. That means in 2098 no one will be connected to Cable TV. I think Cable will become something else before that happens. With Netflix, Hulu, and dozens of other streaming companies, Cable will just be replaced with these. It is already happening... duh?

Technology companies like Apple, and Micro soft have consoles that satisfy all your streaming TV needs. For instance Microsoft makes the XBOX360 console that can be made wireless, and movement synchronous, so you login, and wave your hands, and up pops your programs on Hulu or Netflix, YouTube or Blockbuster...

So middle America can now dance with Rocky and CeCe on Shake it Up! while making dinner. Or you can watch all the YouTube presentations of recent UFO activity on UFOTV, on YouTube.

Cutting the cable, one "doesn't regret the decision, even though some TV shows aren't available, such as the ones involving the Kardashian clan or sporting events. (Mark Friedman. Posted 7/16/2012. LINK)"

Much of the middle society will witness the death of television as we know it on Aug 29th, 2045. Why that date? I just made it up, because that day I will be 90 years and two months old. HA!

So in our lifetimes we will not see that much happen that isn't happening today. Tech companies have become more careful about releasing the next big thing quickly as it comes available. That is why there hasn't been an upgrade from XBOX-360 to say the XBOX-terabyte, like one would expect happening by now.

Essentially, corporations would go bankrupt if they introduced new tech just as their older tech stuff was peaking globally. You will have to depend on tech elite to bring you the bigger better consoles as we move into Techno-barbaric Climate Change Age. We have exhausted the term Post-Modernism... so we come up with a new name for today.

That's our Report from the Middle -- where the men are good looking, the women are strong, and the children are above average.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "Demographics"

Demographics of Prime Time TV
by Pat Darnell | Nov 25, 2012 | Bryan TX

It is 8 PM on a Sunday night and I am watching the football game.

First let me give some back story: Last Summer 2011, in Bryan TX it was bone dry and many things happened because of that dryness. Lakes and waterways shrank, cattlemen sold off their beef cattle herds, and state wide 301 million trees died.
" ... A September report issued by Texas A and M Forest Service indicated Texas lost more than 300 million trees to the 2011 drought.

Burl Carraway, Texas A and M Forest Service Forest Resource Development and Sustainable Forestry Program manager, said earlier the region from Lufkin to Beaumont, where the state's heaviest forest production is located, suffered the least.

Of the region's nearly 600 million trees, only 7.5 million have died, he said, or 1.3 percent, based on studies of satellite imagery.

Experts say tree death is a natural forest process, but the drought pushed the numbers higher.

Staff Writer Adam Russell contributed to this report. (JACQUE HILBURN-SIMMONS. Wednesday, November 14, 2012. LINK ) ... "
What is the typical demographic in Central Texas, based on television prime time hours from 8 PM to 10 PM? I will watch the NBC Sunday Night Football Game and take notes on commercials during airing of Green Bay Packers at New York Giants stadium. Is the male prime time TV game watching person concerned with this drought catastrophe?

Here I go -- starting in the middle -- I watched and noted what commercials aired and at what approximate time they were posted in correlation to happenings in the game: this is an eye opener. I am thinking that this will tell me what kind of demographic is being "talked" to through the subliminal language of the TV commercial.

I watched from about 8:20 PM till 10:42 PM. That is two hours and twenty minutes. During that time I sat through 118 commercials. That is approximately 65 minutes out of 140 event minutes, set aside for commercials.

In that investment of one hour and five minutes, I am given choices of lifestyle and products needed for these life style adumbrations. And that would be a great thing if any of the suggestions pertained to anything actually happening in the world today.

In fact Screw the Trees; forget the stinking drought; don't miss the Dan Patrick Morning Show on NBC.

Not one commercial mentions alternative fuel. Nor did any infomercial give any solutions to health issues of the twenty first century man. No the over all message played as a mid-life crisis adjustment strategy. Buy a LEXUS, go online this week for Cyber Week Wal-Mart.com for your holiday shopping, purchase a Citizen Watch and never have to change the battery, and catch the latest Tom Cruise movie!

And as you cruise around in your LEXUSSENTERA CREW-CAB HEMI DODGE RAM, stop and eat lots of sandwiches.

MooPig Report from the Middle -- "Multigenerational Homes"

Housing in the Middle ...
Retrieved by Pat Darnell | Nov 18, 2012 | Bryan TX
[Plan LINK]

According to the National Association of Homebuilders, although home sales were down in recent years, this niche product "multigenerational" appears to be solid and growing.

What has happened in the housing market is that it has become impossible to sell a house while buying a house. In the past a seller could make the switch within a reasonable time. The federal government yelled FRAUD, and made everyone suspect to fraudulent practices. Loan underwriters barricaded themselves in a reactionary system of checking a buyer's closing papers over and over and over into oblivion. The switch from old house to new house has taken a turn for the worse. A buyer might end up waiting a full year for his financing to go through. That means paying two mortgages while waiting.

Families today might  opt to add wings to their casa's, wings and "L's" and mother-in-law additions, on property already paid for. Sounds like an old idea when children got married and the mother and father would build a house adjacent to the old farmhouse. In other words the children stayed close to the farm.

In the last century, with post-modern building came the idea of single family dwellings and efficiency's. You choose a parcel of land with a dwelling on it. That dwelling is usually designed to be the least for the most, or smallish rooms overall, with great rooms instead of living rooms or dining rooms.

Today, in the 21st century, formal living has given way to ubiquitous spaces. And work a day has been chopped into work a shift, while shopping has become bulk shopping, and storage for that is nil in post-modern dwellings. There is a shortage of storage space and closets in modern efficient home design.

As the article says: "... Though it was not financial woes that initially drove Bruno and her family to move in with her parents ... they had "temporarily" moved in after the housing collapse made it impossible to sell and buy simultaneously ... "

Multigenerational Homes: Real Estate's Next Big Thing as More Families Share a Space | AOL Real Estate: "Being roommates with your parents after age 21 sounds like a nightmare for most, but Jessica Bruno wouldn't have it any other way. Bruno, a 40-year-old mom, wife and DIY blogger, lives with her 62-year-old parents, Connie and Fred, in their Sutton, Mass., home. Oh, and there's Bruno's husband, Tony, and their 6-year-old son, Tony Jr. Think that's a lot of people under one roof? There's more. Bruno's grandparents, Grace, 80, and Fred, 82, live in the house, too. That's seven people from four generations living together in one home. Actually, make that nine: Bruno's two stepdaughters, 12-year-old twins Alexia and Gabriella -- Tony's kids from another marriage -- stay with them on weekends." (Krisanne Alcantara. Nov 16, 2012. HERE) ... "

  'via Blog this'

" ... Though factors such as high unemployment, a battered economy and the recent housing crisis have pushed more people into multigenerational living, studies show that it's a trend that's circled back from a similar era. History Repeating Itself Just prior to World War II, a quarter of Americans lived with extended family, as the U.S. struggled through the Great Depression. But by 1980 the number of such households was slashed by half -- down to 12 percent from 25 percent in 1940. But that number has risen again -- spiking as the Great Recession hit in 2008, experts say. The Pew Research Center now estimates that 16 percent of Americans live in multigenerational households. ..."

" ...However, that may have economic benefits. Pew reports that the poverty rate among those who live in multigenerational homes is significantly lower than those who don't live with other adults other than a spouse or partner. Additionally, multigenerational households have much higher median incomes than other "average" households ($48,542 vs. $41,115 in 2009). ... "
According to homebuilder Tusino, who owns New England's largest housing developer, the rise in multigenerational households over the past few years has changed the landscape of modern home construction. The GBI-Avis CEO said that many families are now looking to either build a multigenerational-friendly home from scratch -- more informally known as the "in-law" setup, with separate entrances, custom floors and sections that feature senior-friendly kitchenettes, bathrooms and amenities -- or retrofit their existing structure with a modular room to accommodate extended family.
" ... But will these multigenerational living arrangements stick, or is this just another retro fad? According to Pew, if the demographic forces of immigration and delayed marriage continue, along with economic forces such as unemployment and a depressed housing market, we should certainly expect to see more and more families come together under one roof to rally resources and provide each other emotional support. ... ? ..."

It looks like designers will be putting the extra rooms into conforming formats that don't deviate from neighborhood regulations for housing. Same old facades, modified interiors. Two problems stand out immediately. One, where are the extra automobiles going to be parked, and two, there will be a need for a large storage pantry, for bulk grocery buying.

MooPig suggests that this is a retro-fad that is following the stark realization that we cannot afford two mortgage payments, and if we could, we would have built for multigenerational possibility in the first place.
We would have bought more acreage to begin with, then we would have put a larger shack on it, with plenty of "Guest Rooms."

So we look for the middle weird floor plan and here is 'Balls and All' ...

MooPig Report from the Middle -- PRIVATIZATION : the Game, Part TWO, UPDATE

DISNEY TO ACQUIRE LUCASFILM LTD. | The Walt Disney Company: "Lucasfilm to join company's global portfolio of world class brands including Disney, ESPN, Pixar, Marvel and ABC."

'via Blog this'

Marvelous, now you can summon your Earnings Per Share, EPS, on your Disney stock... and watch that blue chipper soar... or not. Is this just another old guy looking to cash in on his long held business?

With Star Wars Episode 7 due out in 2015 ... will it be animated totally using zoo animals? I think we can forget about creativity for now. This is 'bidness' and it talks mighty to the net earnings crowd. Like we say at MooPig Creative Counsel Meetings, the more bidness, the less creativity.

With all bidness practices now being challenged throughout the world, I wonder if the New World Order Crowd has upgraded their modus operandi. Has Rothschild decided to change his name again; to something more NWO-ie... like "Zanzibar," or *[Google: 'catchy new world order names']* ... phone rings, dead air and some heavy breathing, no one talking... "Nibiru" new world order News planet ...?

We have obliterated the fine lines between one-of-a-kind creative genius in our time. Tragic, but true. It is our post-modern contribution to arts and entertainment; for now. You want it and you want it now, no point in telling you that "what you want" has a one year delivery time on it!

Disney should own all the cartoony stuff... why not? One day satellite Disney will start to orbit the earth like the moon, and we will have Wizards of Waverly on our headsets.

I still say we should lease Washington, DC, to Disney for 99 years, and let them turn it into a theme park. Criminy, yes, and then let the federal government could move around to different cities every six years. Most two term Presidencies last about six years, the last two years of presidency are lame duck activities like foreign affairs, and catching up on state trips around the world that weren't taken in the first six years.

Sure thing: six years in Denver, another six in Salt Lake City, hell maybe even a six year gig in Paris, who knows... the federal government butt buddies could govern from across the pond, away from all this climate change malady.

Oh, what about the federal government paper stuff? We know that can be housed in a medium sized metal building in a secret place provided by our military. We should make sure the terabyte computers are all waterproof though... *[lessons learned from Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina.]*

How It Works/Example: Let's assume that during the fourth quarter, Company DISNEY GALAXY reported net income of $400 trillion. During the same time frame, the company had a total of 10 million shares outstanding. In this particular case, the company's quarterly earnings per share (or EPS) would be ...

... hmmmmm calculated as follows: *[wait a minute we need a calculator... call the Calculator Department, Nathan]*

... $400 trillion / 10 million shares = $4,000,000 or at current dollars adjusted for future inflation is about $0.40 centavos ....

So, keep believing in your blue chipper funds, they will certainly keep the private sector alive, just barely.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: "Bejeweled BLITZ!! What I dislike about You"

Some Concerns I have about this Game I play on FaceBook
by Pat Darnell

Bejeweled BLITZ! is the old game in a new package with the need for speed. The old game, Bejeweled versions 1 and 2 Endless, I have sat and played like it were a cross word puzzle -- in Cantonese -- staring I eternally at the various shaped jewels fall as "I match Three -- match Four -- match Five" ... and so on. Sheeeesh! Life was a constant: constant as in "KO" -- always a winner!

Today Bejeweled BLITZ has a timer that you have to make those same matches under only one minute: that's Sixty seconds, my friends! Big blasts and words of encouragement come over your speakers, but in the last few seconds the game begins to groan like a hapless llama. Old timer Bejewelers might extinguish if they try to do this! Sorry if I lose you here reader... yes it is an angst post today. [HERE is another Blog post at "Trends Daily" on the subject]

Please, also, don't tell my parents about any of this. It's difficult enough they have to find their email, and Dad still does the crossword every day. If he found out what his number two son is up to ... he might -- you know -- not understand.

I have actual friends from fBook who score over 400,000 points in under sixty-seconds. Yep.

I have family members who score over 300,000 bejewel points in that scant passage of time. I am peaked out at 213,000 for over the nine weeks I have attempted to play with these 'Big Boys.' That's it; that's all I got.

Now I have to speak out. For the sake of my computer, located at rural-route-fire-stop 11693 in College Station, Texas; "Why does my 256 VECTRA VL420 MT have to be a storehouse of old Adobe versions."

Why do I get unlicensed, daily updates from the children of questionable origins at Adobe, or whoever does this altruistic act?

I cleaned out the 2000 million bytes of Adobe on several ocassions ...

... is BJ BLITZ responsible? I think so; the proximity of parables is too close [my wording for those unexplained computer PC avenues not taken].

Formula for imponderableness:

BJ BLITZ via fBook [plus+] Adobe FLASHPlayer [times x] my PC [equals=] 213,000 points max.

Now take nine weeks in minutes, and that is a dedicated 90,720 minutes possible .... hmmmmm?

... The Avenue not taken is that I do not think I can overcome my short fall in this game, with my present HP Orphan PC. Nope. I maxed it out by playing this version of BJ BLITZ! And here is the weirdness of this saga -- when I close my eyes much later after playing BJ BLITZ, I still see the images of the jewels in formations, just like in the game. YIKES!

I would have to say: "My jewels are cut... in this scare-nario of fBook intro's... eh?" You know my goose is cooked ...

Trouble is, I can never go 'back' to Bejeweled Classic, in a personal sense. Not anymore than I can ever return to Word Jumbles, or coloring books.... I am sadly smitten of what transpires in sixty seconds. But as I have shown you, hopefully some anaytical-lite questioning will help this sad situation.

EUREKA! If I had more than 256 RAM I probably could score higher with the balsy players on blasted Bejeweled BLITZ!!

[Oh, great; I just see now on channel Three TV -- we are in a Heat Advisory... ]

That's another thing ... if my processor ran cooler... and so on, with all the "IF's." On second thought: Just forget about it... !

Happy Scoring -- you bunch of Minute Men! May your jewels fall if they haven't already.
... and, that's my Report from the Middle. Thanks for stopping by.

MooPig Report from the Middle :: The Initials have been Changed to Protect the Innocent

Bryan\College Station, TX  |  Thursday AM  |  In a land betwixt here and somewhere Beaumont, Texas, is a crossroads called Hempstead. Cool name and at the same time a sort of sad.

From Houston runs the Old Hempstead Highway, which still has beside it the tracks. Beaumont is the Eastern whistle stop of this ruminant transportation line.

With that geography lesson you can see the train tracks on your Google Earth. It is a flat almost straight shot line of tracks with very little obstruction, and plenty of nothing to look at along the way.

Trains might still run cattle and other livestock, I really don't know and it is only descant to this tale.

A generation of Billie Joes' has come and gone. Following the Vietnam War it became laughingstock to call someone -- male or female -- "B. J." It is slang for fellatio, and deflates the impact of calling someone by their initials. You get the picture, no?

Various forms of media have precluded and supplanted our twenty-first century "nicknaming." Political correctness disallows much of it; GG, TA, JR, all refer to television and movie over-done-ness. But how to describe a person who is not droll? That is our reason for nicknaming our friends. You aren't just William; you are "Dubya."

We used to give them pet names: CL senior, and CL junior, is an example of father and son from Hempstead. Their specialty was Bronc busting in the Rodeo until they decided to get into the accounting business.

Now referring to: Urban Dictionary -- this site tries to document nomenclature of vernaculars rising in our language: advertised as "Yahtzee to Nazi."
JR for instance is defined -- " ... Verb; When one of your friends gets absolutely shit-hauled. Noun; Often includes sweaty dancing, chewing tobacco, constant hat turning and commonly partakes in "multi-friending" ... " Used as a verb; "Man i'm gonna get right JR'd tonight!" used as a noun; "Look at that guy, what a JR."
And that definition of JR does not describe who I am talking about. That passage describes some drug store cowboy, metro Sparky.

Unfortunately, CL is the name of a guy who is no longer with us. He resided in Hempstead. After growing up riding bulls in the rodeo, he spent the rest of his life dealing with all the arthritis from throes of his teenage years. He had a buddy named RD. RD continues the Swap Meet Circuit of Central Texas.

And this is the point of today's report. RD has survived his friend, who was also his partner in the business. RD drives a big white Chevy pickup with a two wheel covered trailer in tow. It is not a travel trailer, but a cargo type with a side door.

Sometimes when I was setting up at night before the next day's opening, RD would be settled in his trailer and minding his business all comfy cozy like.

His trailer was set up with rack [bed roll], potty, and little cook stove and the likes.

After a few of these nights I dropped over and introduced myself to RD. He was not a drinker, just puffed cigarettes pretty constant. Regular fella; wearing a straw cowboy hat, cotton shirt tucked into jeans -- no big fancy buckle or showy stuff. No jewelry -- just his wedding band. He had white hair, and glasses and seemed to be in his late fifties.

I sauntered over to his tables where he had set out his merchandise and had a browse. It was covered with surgical tools -- especially surgical clamps. There were hard to find things like back scratchers, scissors and blades, tiny screwdriver sets and electrical fix-it doodads. He had some tack and hard to find horse care things. Yeah he is that guy!

"RD, I see you here over-night sometimes," I said after I felt he wouldn't mind the asking.

"Yep," RD replied.

After a bit more I said: "Do you come far to these meets?"

"Nope. Just from Hempstead," he answered. "Let's just say, there's some people at my house tonight, and those other nights, that I don't much get along with. So I just sleep here in my trailer."

"Oh," I replied. ... [thought I to myself -- 'So, that is how one maintains a long marriage']

That's our Report from the Middle tonight; where men are good-looking, women are strong and the children are all above average. Good night.
Ruminant.
