The "brownie" refers to a crustacean not a pastry in this painting.

The bottom of the food chain in our oceans and bays, but essential to all living creatures on Earth. Not the least of which is man. What is more satisfying to our worry and hectiocity than a platter of them boiled pink and chilled to 40 degrees with a boat of red sauce beside? Maybe some giants on a mesquite fire next to a sizzling cut of top sirloin.

Amen, me brudda, you artisan, wordsmith and generally fine individual. May God watch over the fishermen.
