MooPig's First Ever Elevator of Death Match :: Solange vs. Vance McAllister

No Holds Barred
Mixed Martial Articles by Pat Darnell  |  May 15, 2014  |  Bryan TX

MooPig Death Match Department is organizing the first ever "Elevator of Death Match" between two Internet trend champions. Both champs, having been caught on surveillance cameras, resulting in tapes recently that were secretly released to the Internet, are likely to want to step up their games so they can remain on the Top Trends lists. The contenders will be put in the elevator of a 100 story building, and ride to the penthouse, while trying to knock each other out. But more than likely the Congressman McAllister from Louisiana will try to sweet talk Solange and suck face.

One fan has already speculated ..."This is going to get more attention than the Zapruder film ..."

Solange

versus

Vance McAllister

Cell phone videos made by opportunists make the Internet buzz; especially snogging sessions between Christian Reich Congressmen and their interns, but really big stuff like Solange taking JayZ to the carpet.

As the Washington Post points out, these cell phone videos of surveillance tapes have become commonplace. Thank you Captain Obvious Post for that observation.

NEXT WEEK: Wendy 'Wig-out' Williams takes on Bill 'Lip Lock' Clinton in the "Elevator of Death Match 2"...

MooPig Anthropology Nanosecond :: "Hair"

Snagged by Pat Darnell and Alex Lifeson  |  March 1, 2013  |  Bryan TX

Cen Yingyuan: 'I'm addicted to my hair', says Chinese woman who hasn't trimmed her 6ft 7in hair in 11 YEARS | Mail Online: "She is unable to wash it in a shower or bath due to its extreme length and is forced to bend over a bucket. Cen washes her hair every four days and her secret to keeping it shiny is to use a bottle of beer. And Cen is not alone in being obsessed with growing her hair. The Red Yao women, a minority ethnic group from Huangluo Yao Village in China, have an average hair length of 5.5 feet with the longest locks measure more than 6.8 feet. Incredibly, the women cut their hair only once in their lives, at 16 years old, before they start their search for a husband, as they believe a woman long hair brings longevity, wealth and good fortune."

'via Blog this'

The trick to keeping such a vast amount of hair shiny, according to Cen, is to rinse it with a bottle of beer

Proud: Cen Yingyuan shows off her 6ft 7in long hair, the result of 11 years without having it cut

COMMENTS
[F]or the people commenting saying the cannot grow their hair past a certain length....this is called your terminal length. your genes determine terminal length and no matter what you do or how long you wait, your hair will never grow beyond this length. i struggle to grow mine just a few inches below my shoulders.
- Jen , Southampton, 01/3/2013

@how does she sleep: she can leave it open or plait it and let it hang over the side of the bed or push it between her pillow and the bedstead. I know because I'm 5 ft 5 inches and my hair is below my knees. And her hair is not 6 ft 7 inches since its basically the same height as she is. And thoroughly washing hair of this length takes five minutes under a decent shower. If she uses a bucket and treats her hair as if its made of spun sugar then yes, it will take her an hour! Drying hair of this length though does take 24 hours, she's right about that...
- ashlis , Asia, 01/3/2013

I'll never moan about having to wash mine ever again.

Dear Cecil:
Where did the sentence, "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party" originate?
— Lotte B., Phoenix

Cecil replies:
From the typewriter it came, and to the typewriter it shall return: the phrase was proposed as a typing drill by a teacher named Charles E. Weller. Incidentally, many typing books now use the variant "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country" instead, because it exactly fills out a 70-space line if you put a period at the end.

She had with her a wheelbarrow of  fifty wigs that she culled from her extensive collection of hair-do's ... So we looked up Wendy Williams from a year ago, when she was 45, and found interesting stuff.

Wendy Williams, the radio and television host, in her wig room.
Wisdom, insights and random observations from this weekend’s Arts and Leisure section.
“Ones that might be thinning a bit because they’re older, I wear those if I’m outside washing my car in the driveway. Then you have a gym wig — a gym wig and a Target wig are the same thing — and the ones I wear to the mall on the weekend with my family.”

Broadcast live in New York and syndicated nationally, “The Wendy Williams Show” is a chance for Ms. Williams, who will turn 45 this month, [July 1, 2009] to expand her reach and her brand — without, she hopes, sacrificing her persona.
“People that I’ve talked to regarding the TV show, they’re asking: Who are your guests going to be? Am I nervous to go out there? What do you think America’s going to say?” Ms. Williams said in a recent interview in the pink-and-purple offices above her pink-and-purple television studio.
“I’m not overconfident. It’s just that I’m not caught up in that. What will be, will be. The die is cast. I can’t be anybody but me.”
[ ... ]
“I like to say that Wendy has a brashness, a sassiness to her, that she’s loud in a very good way, in look and point of view,” said Lonnie Burstein, the executive vice president of programming at Debmar-Mercury, the production company behind the TV show.

(It also counts Ms. Williams and her husband and manager, Kevin Hunter, as executive producers.) “Whether she’s talking or you’re looking at her, you have to notice her.”
Reviewing the show when it was shown during a six-week trial run last summer, Alessandra Stanley wrote in The New York Times, “She has a bawdy and arch side, but she can be startlingly mean-spirited.” Oprah, Ellen, even Tyra Ms. Williams is not, though it’s also no secret that she aspires to one-name status

[ ... ]
“She is willing to let it all hang out,” said Rob Dauber, an executive producer of the show and a veteran of the Martha Stewart, Oprah Winfrey and Rosie O’Donnell shows. On the first of last summer’s episodes Ms. Williams pulled a Post-it note from underneath the lip of her wig. On another, congratulating a cameraman on the birth of a daughter, she said, “Kenny, you don’t mind if I say your sperm was frozen?” (“Uh, no,” Kenny replied.)
[ ... ]
Ms. Williams’s distinctive voice may be her strength, wrote Steve Sternberg, the executive vice president for audience analysis at the media-buying group Magna Global Entertainment, in an e-mail message. Ratings for syndicated talk shows, including Ms. Winfrey’s, have fallen in the last several years, so there is some room in the daytime market, he wrote. “Ordinarily clones do not work, but original, strong personalities can break through (see Ricki Lake, Rosie, Dr. Phil).” And of the 14 syndicated daytime talk shows now on television, 10 have an audience whose median age is 50 or above, he wrote, so someone who skews younger could be appealing.
