It is 907 pages long. You will never read it, probably, you might flip through it.. but many will not ever go to this page online and see what it is. The Affordable Care Act, ACA, is like any government act in that it goes through many stages to become a law. First, it must be read, no?

Maybe if we posted the pages of our ACA on walls of buildings and on lampposts, people would read it. That's it, ACA has no street credit:

Insurance companies have read it, or at least their in-house lawyers have. " ... Insurance providers are reporting cancellations. This includes plans acquired as Members of our Affiliated Associations and their groups.” Those affiliated associations include the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, the Dramatists Guild, the Graphic Arts Guild, NY Women in Film and Television, and many others. CONCLUSION
Collusion between insurance companies and health care providers, that is, between doctors and lawyers, has been interrupted. ACA will take the middle man out of the picture, maybe.

To most of us middle Americans and lower earning Americans Health Care has been un-affordable all our natural born lives. Probably, under ACA rules, some people who never even had healthcare will now receive some, and the rich will go ahead with self-insured models. For the middle class it will be business as usual.

They spend money like a Houston socialite in Filene's Basement. They are the real "THEY." When you say THEY it is these people and their entourages. They see a pile of dough and they get all sweaty.

Republicans Owe Us 24 Billion Dollars Plus for the Government Shutdown: "As some points, the media is going to have to start calling Republicans out on their end goal. Let’s see. They get nothing… So what is the goal?

The result is the economy is harmed and America’s credit is dinged and we are a laughing stock. If those are the results and the GOP keeps doing it, at some point, we have to admit that those results ARE THE GOAL. That means that destroying America’s reputation, credit and economy are the goals of these Republicans, and the non-Tea Party Republicans haven’t the back to stand up to them, so the entire party is operating in service of the destruction of the country.

Last night, Nancy Pelosi saved the country again, bringing her entire caucus to vote yes to save the country from the GOP, while the GOP majority in the House sat on their hands, with 144 of them voting no on saving the country from default."

Every investor should be afraid of a U.S. government debt default. But tearing a portfolio apart because of the risk of a default is risky, too. A U.S. default would be catastrophic. Even one day in default would harm the nation's credit rating, and have serious ripple effects, including:
• Damage consumer confidence, and possibly the economy.
• Cause interest rates to spike higher.
• Hurt stock and bond prices.

Precious metals and Virtual Money [BitCoin] will ride out the Government shutdown. Housing will suffer and jolt owners into foreclosures due to soaring interest rates -- but the banks, and holding companies make out like banshees. It will be a wild west land grab for greedy bankers.

With those poor credit ratings brought on by default, we pay higher interest rates for our credit. And government securities for sale would have to offer higher interest rates of return to attract buyers. That also increases interest rates for long term money like Housing, and would make borrowing for home buyers and businesses higher at the same time.


CONCLUSION
Markets will probably sell off as the deadline looms. If there's a last-minute resolution – as there was in 2011 – stocks and bonds should soar in value, as should the U.S. dollar.

CONCLUSION
It’s an outrage that they are playing these types of games with the American people. And I think at the end of the day [Boehner and Cruz] will rue this day because they side with a minority in their caucus and Boehner is not running the House. A minority is.

SUMMARY
This Sunday morning, Tailgunner Ted Cruz went on CNN’s State of the Union to give his take on why it’s OK to hold the United States hostage. Cruz’s ship has been sinking for weeks now, but even weighed down with a billion tons of political self-interest, he plunges boldly ahead into waters that, according to him, aren’t exactly uncharted. According to him, taking hostages is just business as usual — and sad to say, these days, isn’t completely wrong. Ted Cruz Thinks Extortion is Politics as Usual in D.C.

But, cite all the historical precedent you want, Ted … what your little group of terrorists are doing is NOT what we do in America. But, don’t worry, Ted … you may sink, but your legacy is secure. Because if there’s one thing America loves to say about terrorists, it’s this … We will never forget.

Enemies of the USA attack from within our government and from outside it. Anyone who thinks they can do better somewhere else should go there. I think that Washington DC has become indefensible, and it is a great risk to have all the federal government in one place so close to the coast. Therefore the federal government should be housed in a metal building somewhere in Utah. And all the officials should attend by video conference. They could just ride around in automobiles tricked out for transmitting and receiving and attend mobile-like with the Speaker of the House actually a 'Bot -- Speaker of the House-bot ...

SUMMARY
Plutocrats close down the US government and all its contractors for no apparent reason. But it is interesting watching the developments from this shutdown. For instance, the George W Bush library is closed to all its one visitor and three workers. Now that is a total shame.

MooPig "Idiocy Department" recently told the "Piracy Department" that these few pictures, shown below, attract the most viewers. That's right -- a little girl riding an alligator, a Colombian Street Party, I don't know what two clothed people in a modified Lazy Boy, Junior with Senior, Fonzie on ski's -- these pirated photos bring in 88% of the views here at MooPig. What the other 8000 photo's [not all pirated] do we don't know.

MooPig Statistics are provided by Google Blogger Dudes. MooPig has about 800 views per day, and about 26,500 views per month average. For a blog that is sand bagged, has fake third parties, and possibly guilty of piracy on several layers... it remains one of life's mysteries how we get that many views per day!

Eleven mayors in Mexico have been killed since January, caught up in the violent drug war.

As the Mexican government pushes forward with its offensive against the drug cartels, criminal groups have slaughtered their rivals, killed police and now increasingly are targeting public officials — particularly mayors.

The places where politicians have been murdered in Mexico this year are the same places where drug violence has been raging.

The first assassinations in February occurred in the northern states of Chihuahua and Durango. Then the killings shifted south to Guerrero, Oaxaca and Michoacan.

Lately, the violence has moved to the volatile northeast. Over the last two months, four mayors have been gunned down in municipalities surrounding the northern industrial city of Monterrey.

A month after Arizona passed an immigration law that reignited a national debate, President Obama is sending up to 1,200 National Guard troops to help secure the U.S.-Mexico border.
I think the White House people are watching the polls and seeing how incredibly popular the Arizona law is," Beck said. The law requires police to check immigration status if they suspect that someone they detain is in the country illegally.

Janet Murguia, president of the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic civil rights organization, said the decision to focus first on border security rather than fix immigration law was "deeply disappointing."

Arizona's Republican senators, John McCain and Jon Kyl, pointed to the 6,000 troops President Bush sent in 2006 as an example of the manpower needed. Arizona's Democratic attorney general, Terry Goddard, called Obama's move a "good start."

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, whose jurisdiction includes the busy human- and drug-trafficking corridor between Tucson and Phoenix, said he appreciates the troops. "But it's not enough."
