Due to cascading colony disorders in bee populations, it seems a great idea to begin raising bees. So a quick study in HOW TO is in order, with followup, and maybe some interviews at Texas A and M University. If there is a way to put bees in our backyard, we will keep you, dear reader, posted.

As we begin this study, we hope you find some wisdom from our activities. I know weekend ranchers, urban cowboys and cowgirls, and many others will be interested in our findings.

How to Start an Urban Bee Hive - Urban Farm Online: "More than 40 years later, Warren is still raising bees in his backyard. However, he’s traded his country home for an urban backyard. He lives in the middle of Lexington—population 280,000. In his backyard, which measures approximately 40 feet by 60 feet, he keeps five full-size bee hives. Each hive houses 50,000 to 70,000 Honey bees. With neighbors in every direction, Warren has to manage his bees carefully. “There are no problems with my bees,” Warren explains. “My neighbors know all about them. In 12 years in this house, I’ve never had a problem. Of course, to be neighborly, I give them all honey!”"

CONCLUSION
Doing the right thing, MooPig Wisdom attempts to build a hive, and provide habitat for disappearing honey bees. Maybe this is too progressive of an idea for the suburban community MooPig lives in.

Honey bees are having a really hard time getting back on the bus. Technology, no matter how well thought out, still destroys nature. And in this case technology destroys natural selection. We need bees, we need them bad.

37 Million Bees Found Dead in Elmwood Canada | REALfarmacy.com | Healthy News and Information: "“Once the corn started to get planted our bees died by the millions,” Schuit said. He and many others, including the European Union, are pointing the finger at a class of insecticides known as neonicotinoids, manufactured by Bayer CropScience Inc. used in planting corn and some other crops. The development of this class of insecticides began with work in the 1980s by Shell and the 1990s by Bayer.

Neonicotinoids, "first new class of insecticides introduced in the last 50 years, and the neonicotinoid imidacloprid is currently the most widely used insecticide in the world." Is it time to ban this class of insecticide?

• Neonicotinoids work their way into pollen and nectar of flowering plants and trees, substances that are consumed by honey bees. 
• Neonicotinoids can persist in soils long after only one application. Some residual has been measured from woody plants up to six years after application.
• The European Union just recently voted to ban these insecticides for two years, beginning December 1, 2013, to be able to study how it relates to the large bee kill they are experiencing there also.

The LINK'd story traces the application of insecticides using newer air seeders, sending the insecticide airborne. Hopes are that all interested parties can get together and talk about the reason bees, the prime pollinators of so any different plant species, are dying.

It doesn't pay to be a "naturalist" these days. More evidence of Big Brother watching down on the masses is shown in this report from the middle of Illinois. " ... A certified letter from the Ag Dept.’s Apiary Inspection Supervisor, Steven D. Chard, stated:

“During a routine inspection of your honeybee colonies by … Inspectors Susan Kivikko and Eleanor Balson on October 23, 2011, the bacterial disease ‘American Foulbrood’ was detected in a number of colonies located behind your [Terrence Ingram's] house…. Presence of the disease in some of your colonies was confirmed via test results from the USDA Bee Research Laboratory in Beltsville, Maryland that analyzed samples collected from your apiary….”  (Global Research, May 24, 2013. LINK) ... "

Mr Terrence Ingram is a hometown hero:

APRIL 27, 2012, APPLE RIVER, IL – The little town of Apple River in northeast Jo Daviess County, Illinois is the hometown of a big man - Terrence Ingram. Though not big in a physical sense, when it comes to saving the American Bald Eagle, there is hardly anyone in the United States held in higher regard than Ingram. His years of documented research and expertise regarding eagles and the work of the Eagle Nature Foundation, founded by Ingram, is in great part responsible for the bald eagle being removed from the “Threatened Species List “ in the United States. This is the culprit that Illinois Department of Agriculture is looking for: American Foulbrood (Paenibacillus larvae)... it is doubtful in Mr Ingram's case that anything good will ever come from the governmental intervention on his bee hives. And we can assume that this is how it will be for the duration.

Insanity: US Approves Bee Death Pesticide as EU Bans It: "Corporate politics is business as usual inside the United States, as I am once again shocked to report the EPA has sided with industry lobbyists over public health in approving a highly dangerous pesticide that the European Union recently decided to ban over fears of environmental devastation. Not only have neonicotinoid pesticides been linked repeatedly to mass bee deaths, also known as Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), but the continued use of such pesticides threatens other aspects of nature (and humans) as well."

Recruiting is the name of the game. Especially in politics, a person is recruited by professionals for as little reason as his face. Recruiting the face puts a lot of pressure on a normal person, who thinks he is being recruited for his testimony, or his brains, or something other than just his face. The likelihood of one "pretty" person being recruited over another "less pretty person" in today's media blitzed, cacophonous, rabble is not a long shot.

Such broad strokes of a critical brush beg explanation. Or does it? For you who have been recruited, why do you think it was? Was your recruiter smarter than you? Did you have some similar attribute shared with your recruiter? Was the other person "the competition," fat or balding?

Let's say you are a patron at a whore house. The whores line up for you to pick one. You are with your friends, so you feel an edge to pick out the "best" candidate for your party, eh? You are also under pressure because the "matron" doesn't have all night. What are your criteria?

• Cleanliness, background check
• stature, good bone structure
• pretty face, symmetry
• Reminds you of some one, similitudes 

There you have it. That is how politicians are picked out. Can you think of other professions that are recruited this way?

So, now your politics has a face. Industry lobbyists get behind those faces. They make money less scarce for those faces. Remember that the faces still think they have reached their political office because they are smarter than you and me. So their ego's grow to out of proportion. Their faces start to swell up, flesh falls off their faces; it is painful to watch.

The Infinity Question

Infinity and the Barber Chair Experience

I am looking at Visual paradise; that is a paradise I choose. Attracted to visual is only one benefit of my surfing the Internet. What does the visual lead me into?

Here is a page of a "brilliant" visual web site: The Billion Dollar Gram Information is Beautiful. That's correct; information is the beauty.
Meanwhile:
I had this conversation with mini-Me's just this evening, before work (night shift).

Pat2: "Hey, Dad, it would be cool if you did one of those .." and he waved his hands in the air.

Pat1: "What?"

P2: "One of those paintings ... like duplicate that one over there so that there is no end ..."

Desiree1: "You mean infinity?" she said miraculously between multi-tasks, without ever looking up.

P2: "Like reflections in mirrors. We had those mirrors at the Chetman house, and it was fun to dance between them ... kind of spooky. When I was little, 'member?"

P1: "Okay, now I get it. Like in the old days at Barber Shops, they weren't fancy, they had mirrors in front and back; so that every time you sat in the barber chair you saw infinite reflections."

P2: "Kewl," he says to me, I think. "Yep, that's right." (then we have more pauses for infinite TEXT tete a tete's, as I sweat the details in my mind ... ) "I like that in paintings..." concludes P2 of our brief encounter with Infinity.

That is about the extent of the subject discussion -- but it lingers on in my mind through the night.. Even if I am alone in this feeling, I usually get a very "strange" queasy spell when I "try" to think of a universe never ending ... I suppose I have been puzzled by the aspect for my whole life.

For instance, do the nerve endings of the soles of our feet have origins in the beelleeons and beelleeons of stars?
[Answer: Yes, of course. Carl Sagan says "starstuff pondering the stars."]

So when knock-off-Armani-esque version-in-BanLon, Carl Sagan kept saying to us through our TV's in maple wood cabinets resting on burnt vegetable colored shag carpet in our living rooms:

"... beelleeons and beelleeons of stars, in beelleeons and beelleeons of galaxies,
of beelleeons and beelleeons of universes, ..." [Note: it took Carl a while to get his TV chops together back then.]

Don't leave me hanging there Carl !!!! ... for the LOVE OF GOD, WHAT's NEXT ?!

Sagan, Carl, elucidated a hidden stigma about obscurity of space surrounding us, using visual mechanist color TV of that period to help with visual contexts. But, really Dudes and Dudettes, what is next?

I can do the painting, but it won't zig-zag, TEXT, quip or whizzzz, or translate. Will my kids be disappointed? BEELLEEONS of tear drops?
