Speaking of Quincy Jones

10.03.2008 | MUSIC NEWS - The man responsible for producing numerous pop and soul albums, including Michael Jackson’s famous “Thriller” and “Bad” albums says that he's currently busy working on a tribute cd set for release next spring (2009).

He's working with several hip and R&B stars for the new compilation. Now, British singers, Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson are in the studio recording a song set to appear on the cd. Other artists rumored involved in the CD include John Mayer, Mariah Carey and Usher.

Speaking about the Quincy Jones project, an unnamed source told the UK newspaper, Daily Mirror; "Amy first met Quincy backstage at the Nelson Mandela gig in Hyde Park in June..."

"He knew who she was and she was so thrilled to meet him. Her performance clearly impressed him - he was raving about her." No word yet on songs to be included.
