There is always something about the madness of first flowers, especially the bulbs... sort of almost can hear them blasting revelry when they suddenly open up their big stipula bearing petals, weighted down with ova and pollen... with big bumble bees doing a sun dance hovering over mottling garden lizards leaping amid tulip's big water-catching leaves... eh?
We had an eight month draught, and this week we had the "Draught buster" rains... I had to mark the day somehow.. thanks for being a loyal paradoxical reader, and my friend.
