Every time NPR, National Public Radio, talks about its sponsors, it mentions Patrons and Philanthropists. There are so many of these now it is difficult to figure out where they end and begin.
NPR mentions the Gates Foundation often. I thought the means of the whole thing was to give voice to the "plain folk,s" not pander to the "mega folks."
This pandering to mega-rich, thing with NPR has been going on ever since MooPig began listening to NPR in the 1970's. It is depressing to realize the plain folks will never get a voice.
Honoring philandering philanthropists is a shame. Just because they throw down a billion pesos for the perpetuity of NPR broadcast, it should be a donation in Honor of Joe the Drummer and his plumb friends... no? That's how MooPig Pander Department feels, and you should too.
