MooPig's Debate Watch :: "Comments From the Street"

Retrieved by Pat Darnell  |  Oct 23, 2012  |  Bryan TX

[Picture LINK] ...  "WASHINGTON, — You watched the conventions, you’ve been bombarded by political ads, you’ve seen the candidates umpteen times on the evening news, and you may have even heard President Obama and Mitt Romney speak from the stump in person. And in the last couple of weeks you have seen the polls in swing states shift dramatically in favor of President Obama.
Now with less than a few weeks before Election Day, November 6, comes that watershed moment, the Presidential Debates. It can be make or break time for a candidate, especially for Mitt Romney, who has had a bad few weeks. ... "

Throwing the Game? No Proof, just Gut Feel...

by Pat Darnell, a question

I have a simple question. Does it seem like John McCain is making decisions as if he is trying to throw the race?

Sometimes the truth is more strange than fiction. In this case it appears that someone who has the say so, said "Okay, John, you can run for President; but you will not win."

For instance -- Obama already beat up one woman contender... why pick another as his Republican VP running mate?

-- and why does McCain look like he isn't all that interested in the big prize? He is on the merry-go-round, but not reaching for the gold ring... in my estimation.

Obama came from nowhere, with plenty of bias and prejudice seething in his careless speeches, and slanted slanderous attacks on establishment. How did he do all that damage control so fast, while McCain can't get a break on any of that Jeremiah Wright, Michelle, dirty boxing stuff?

I am convinced that McCain has reached as far as the "big whatever they are's" will let him. It is mandatory for the Democrats to be in the Executive this term, according to some deal cut decades ago?

To B. Obama:

Note: forwarded message attached. It say: ROLL DEE DICE MON !!Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin claimed her historic spot on the Republican ticket Wednesday night, uncorking a smiling, sarcastic attack on Barack Obama and winning cheers of acceptance and approval after a tumult-filled first week on the national stage. She vowed to help presidential nominee John McCain bring real change to Washington, saying "he's a man who's there to serve his country and not just his party."

CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN

0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA

28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN

15% (no change)

OBAMA

39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit')

INCOME TAX

MCCAIN

(no changes)

Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)

Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN

- 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA

Restore the inheritance tax

Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

And this says nothing about stripping of the DoD, appeasement of the terrorists, and loss of US sovereignty under “world citizen” Obama’s relinquishment of US rights to the UN and World Court . Nor does it talk of loss of rights in “Fairness Laws” which are only fair to the minority.

TODAY TEXAS March 4, 2008

TODAY , Texas voters will help pick our next commander in chief. It is an important responsibility that you shoulder with insight, thoughtfulness and respect, and I want to encourage you to vote TODAY , March 4th. To get more information about our team, please click here or email my team at texas@johnmccain.com.
The issues at stake in this election are enormous:
  • Our country is fighting a global war against radical Islamic extremism.
  • Our government has lost the people's trust and confidence.
  • The values we share as a nation, the values that have kept us strong for over 200 years, are being re-shaped through unwarranted judicial activism.
While Americans struggle with these burdens, Texas politicians bicker among themselves to grab the slightest short-term political advantage, putting the priorities of the nation on hold.
I have had the great honor of serving our country all my adult life. I have never lived a day, in good times or bad, when I was not grateful for the privilege. Now, I ask for your support and the opportunity to serve again - this time as your president.
As thousands of Texas's sons and daughters risk their lives to defend us, our purpose cannot be ours alone. America is our cause; her greatness our hope, her strength our protection, her goodness the hope of mankind.
That is why I run for president, because the greatest days of our great nation lay ahead. I have the experience, the knowledge and the courage to make the tough decisions and I ask for your vote and support in TODAY's election.
Sincerely,
John McCain
P.S. Every vote counts TODAY so please be sure to cast your ballot. If you have any questions about voting, please email my team at texas@johnmccain.com or click here to find more information about voting TODAY.

What the hELL? Is this for real?

"See, I told you all he is a pinko, commie, sadist chauvinist pig, coward, puto pendejo, chingus y madres, despot buddy of Chavez, Osama Obama, beeeaache hoe monger, geek... twerp; and what do you all do? You still vote for his sorry A#%$%&$^!!!!!!!!" might have said Hillary to someone's assistant.

What is wrong with this picture?
Hey, I checked this one out at Snopes.com urban legends website and it is actually true. If you want to read more check out the link… There is even a YouTube video of this scene that you can watch.
Jewels
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/anthem.asp

This needs to be shown to a lot of people. Hand ober the heart, when the bar bungled banner is played, you downright wannabe bungling gandidates!!!!

I had heard about this but a picture is definitely worth 1000 words! God save us!!!
Snopes.com reports it is true! The only thing I can think of is he is first in line and he would have saluted the flag, had he seen his opponents placing hand over heart. I wonder if he forgets which direction is East when he genuflects at prayer time; so he calls On Star for directions? this is a youtube typographical error on Obama's life and times as a one time candidate; the others are:
Senator Barack Obama, Governor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin stand during the national anthem.

Barack Hussein Obama's photo (that's his real name)......the article said he REFUSED TO NOT ONLY PUT HIS HAND ON HIS HEART DURING THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, BUT REFUSED TO SAY THE PLEDGE.....how can a man like this expect to be our next Commander-in-Chief???? I don’t think so! Snopes.coms cannot confirm he did not say the Pledge!

Move the Federal Capital to Salt Lake City, please Mr. Bush!!

Retrieved from: http://jessicafertitta.wordpress.com/2007/04/19/mormons-mitt-and-money-oh-my/#more-39
An array of donors who never had given money in a federal election opened their wallets to Mitt Romney this year, drawn to him through his networks in the business world and the Mormon church.
Utah, seldom a go-to state for politicians seeking money, was Romney’s second most generous state, reflecting the ties he has built there through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his time as president of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Winter Games.
That success helped vault Romney to the top of the money race among Republican presidential candidates with more than $20 million in the first quarter of this year.
An analysis of new campaign finance reports by The Associated Press shows that in some Utah ZIP codes, Romney, a Mormon and former governor of Massachusetts, raised nearly 10 times the amounts raised by President Bush in each of the past two presidential elections.
“I don’t part with my money lightly, but I felt it was money well spent,” said Ken Leister, a Mormon and a businessman from Sandy, Utah. Leister, a first time political donor, and his wife contributed $2,000 to the Romney camp this year.
